Mine looks exactly the same except it says 'Easycap' on it instead of 'EzCap' is this a fake? The first time I tried it it didnt work but I didn't use splitters. It did come with the software and the code for it though but I got it off Ebay

If your TV has an Output as well as an Input, could you just plug in a cable directly from the TV Output into the Ezcap?

When i set this up, the brightness of my tv goes down and stars getting dots running accross it which is annoying and the quality reduces. When i put the console back onto the tv as normal, it goes back to normal.

Also, my easycap isnt recording audio. im on windows 7. What do i do?

I need help. After i connect my video cable to the splitters and then i connect it to the ezcap the brightness on my tv decreases, when i unplug it from the ezcap it goes back to normal. Does any one know what the problem is? Does it have to do with the splitters?

Okay, so i have a problem that noone has solved. I have a HDD recorder, i use the xbox 360's AV cable and connect it to the HDD recorder; Recorder is connected the HDTV by HDMI. I turn on the Recorder go into "Video In" the screen is green and cant see other colours, just different shades. I turn it to Pal-50 and then its perfect. But then i can't play MW2. Is there a way i can leave it al PAL-60 and Do something?

When the screen is put to fullscreen, the xbox starts lagging :S

You might have the Red and White Cables mixed around. I really don't know what to tell you since I own a different Screen Cap then the one that Alex has above.

If you have problems with PAL60 then use NTSC_433 instead - If you experience a greenish bar at the bottom then change the resolution.

Hmm, If Windows movie maker or any other editing software is open, it won't record. Try closing all the programs you are using - (maybe webcam software) and try again.

Trust me, its a fake - you may not think it. It may not have any cosmetic difference than the real thing and might work exactly the same - but it wasn't manufactured by ForwardVideo.

Not saying the fakes won't work. Just that either quality may be degraded, or if you are experiencing difficulty with the EzCap and you've followed the tutorial, then you probably have a fake that doesn't work (if it says EasyCap)
