  • original and remastered both = fucking awesome

  • december 1st....COSTA RICA lml

  • "No description available"

    Even Youtube is speechless.

  • Easily one of my favorite bass lines from David ellefson.

  • LOVE the remasters, but Rust in Peace (original) is better.

  • sweet!

  • Christ I hate remastered shit

  • Get Davey back on the smack - A high point of 89s music

  • Wish they had played this one on the big four tour.

  • @iles777 Umm...They did didn't they?

  • @oohhhyyeeaahhh no...not in Gothenburg atleast.

  • One of their best songs in my opinion.

  • The Remasters happened because Megadeth's record label demanded that they released albums. And at that time Dave had his arm injury, so he couldn't do anything else.

  • what the hell is 4:40-8:15?

  • @hk19950329 omg :O don`t know, that part didn`t exist when i uploaded it... :?

  • @hk19950329 The part for you to finish crying of tears of amazement.

  • @hk19950329 It's where Dave's solo is supposed to be, but he passed out and nobody noticed

  • Remaster is Bonus Tracks and more money

  • But i still prefer the original though because it sounds alot better

  • "Like a fish WITH HOOK IN MOUTH!" sends chilss down my spine everytime I hear it!

  • thisi s the worst remasterd megadeth album oringnal is so much better but the best sounding remasterd is probably KIMB

  • remaster KIMB, Peace Sells, and SFSGSW are all better remastered, RIP sounds like a pile of shit with Take no Prisoners and Five Magics vocals, and the snare drum sound is just plain annoying, but I like first 3

  • Hey bro do me a favor in check out the 1st vid in my favorites (good person) Thanks man apperciate it =)

  • My only problem with this remaster is that the bass drum sounds VERY clicky.

  • @Kistarcsa IDK why but i like it lol

  • @Kistarcsa boo hoo hoo hoo you guys gotta be bitching about something on all the remasters

  • Am a huuge Det]-[ fan, but i hated this album.

just something about it i can't stand. Almost zero vocal presence. and JY is a complete douche, so that doesn't help.

KIMB is my favorite by far. but Darkest Hour does rock all sorts of heavy.

  • @hammerofmariotos i really like daves vocals here, they are more aggressive imo, but without gar and poland i really dont enjoy the production...the drums in the album can be played by anyone..not thats a bad thing but there is no originality to them, pretty much the same beat and hitting the same cymbal over and over, gar had a lot of accents and rolls that really added character, jeff young pretty much copied daves style of solos, over all i dont mind listening to it though

  • @hammerofmariotos I really do try to get into this album too, but yeah Darkest Hour is great, but Mary Jane and Set the World Afire are awesome too. You should check out our channel, we got thrash galore dude!

  • @hammerofmariotos My favorite is Peace sells, the conjuring fucking owns!

  • to much reverb on vocals and the guitar riff isn't punching like in the real version

  • Wow, this sucks. The original is infinitely better. I know what I'm not buying.

  • On the whole I don't like the total effect of the remaster, but I do enjoy the crisp bassline that I couldn't really hear before.

  • i dont understand the part 4.40 to 8..15

  • the bass has a lot more clarity in the remaster. I like the drums better with the reverb in the original though, it creates an atmosphere which gives the listener a sense of depth. Im glad i bought the originals years ago.

  • @treos85 The remastered drums sound shitty as fuck. On RIP, the drums were heavy and thundering. On Countdown, they were crystal clear, a brilliantly high quality sound. On the remastered RIP they sound weak and reverbed to death. On Countdown it sounded the same as the RIP remaster. They are abominations

  • Hey i have the remastered version of this album. I also have the remastered and original version of the Rust In Peace album and in this album you can really tell the difference between original and remastered. My question is, can you tell the difference in the So far so good so waht album??

  • I guess I'm going to be the outcast and say I like the remastered versions better. And my reasoning for that is that Dave brought out the bass better in the songs, I think it sounds better personally, but criticize me if you will, but just remember that ]V[EGADET]-[ kills every band alive

  • @stenback31289 shit of course ]V[EGADET]-[ gets cut...

  • @stenback31289 The bass on the remastered Rust In Peace album sucks though. All the other albums are great though.

  • @megaluisdeth Idk, I disagree with that statement. It blends with lucretia and take no prisoners in my opinion. but can we agree that ]V[EGADET]-[ is the best thrash band ever? Like cmon, he has a godly line up right now with Jr, Chris Broderick, and Shawn drover (although I prefer Jimmy Degrasso).

  • @Bassycho Never mind the remaster sounds great. I meant to say that the bass fill/solo sounds dry on Take no Prisoners on the remastered one.

  • @stenback31289 i agree but this album needed to be remastered anyways. very bad reverb on the original album. and this album had very shitty production value too.

  • @stenback31289 I like the heavier bass.. sounds like thunder with my bass box and it tickles my balls.

  • @FlaxForFlux actually... listening further, it was taken down a key? that sucks....

  • It sounds fine. You Tube ruins the sound of songs ya know. Get the real CD and you will hear it in all its glory. I prefur the original over the remaster. KIMB was the only one that needed remastering IMO. The other albums could have been left the fuck alone.

  • Maybe they are just old, or do not have an ear for music. I can tell the difference between remastered and original Megadeth albums. Risk and Cryptic could have been left alone. I think all the albums sounded good raw. The remasters make things more in your face IMO.

  • @PearlJammer07 The remasters of tha first 3 albums were amazing and even though I prefer tha remasters, they really should've stopped there.Everthing after this sounds tha same.

  • This remastered version sounds good. The drums do not have any reverb on them. Some have said they sound weak now. They do not sound weak.

  • The worst remaster was Rust because the vocals in half of the songs had to be re-recorded

  • Only two songs had to have vocals re-recorded. Does not make it the worst remaster. The album sounds better. The guitars sound much better. Overall the RIP remaster is worth getting. I am going to purchase it. Nothing wrong with the remasters. I am tracking down originals for now.

  • They re-recorded the vocals on Lucretia, TNP, Rust In Peace. . . Polaris, and Five Magics.

Not only the vocals are bad either, it seems Dave did everything possible to take the raw sound out of the drums and guitars

  • I have the original RIP on CD. I hear it is getting harder to get a hold of. Also have original Peace and Countdown. A friend of mine got his hands on KIMB on cassette. Which sounds really good for its age. My thinking is "Why fix something that is not broke." In other words why remaster albums that sounded fine in the first place. KIMB was the only one that needed a remaster. If anything Dave could have just remastered the albums. Remixing them have changed the sound of the albums quite a bit.

  • @PearlJammer07

Well, some of em were out of print, so Dave might have thought that while he was at it he could turn it into something special :P

  • Only TNP was re-recorded.5M used the vocals on tha demo.Everything else used an alternate take

  • The only song with re-recorded vocals was Take No Prisoners, which don't really sound all that different from tha original.

  • man this version sounds fine to me. vocals are only a biiit off. drums are fine, bass is clearer and has more clang. guitars are still sexy.

    i don't really have a preference

  • ahh the snare sounds SO much better

  • Right on!

  • This is pretty awesome, thanks for posting this song man. Solid old school Megadeth
