  • you can not compare magic johnson to chris bosh- magic is 20 times better, and wade compared to bird? wade plays another position and is not top 5 of all time...

mj didnt win a championship until pippen, kerr, kukoc, etc turned up??? i'd like to see MJ win a championship ring with the cavs or at least get to the finals!

  • He's just a great player his opinion doesn't really make a difference. That being said if Oscar said that he himself was better than Jordan I might believe him.

  • @imsljr420 And he has alot of time for that

  • Lebron passes and rebounds way better than Michael ever did

  • i respect oscar's opinion but he had to have been bumped on the head very hard the day of this interview.....lebron isn't even close to jordan....the greatest player of all time takes over games when it matters most.......he doesn't disappear

  • old school mentality. best mentality

  • I think LeBron is the best player since Jordan. Also I think LeBron will surpass Jordan as the G.O.A.T. by the time LeBron retires.

  • @AriesNY12 : well he better start collecting some accolades..he already has 2 league MVP's but he still needs scoring titles, more MVP's, DPOY, finals MVP's (when heat start winning championships)

  • I'll take Oscar Robertson's word over any youtube commentors any day.

  • @8USMNT17 Couldn't have said it better. RESPECT OSCAR ROBINSON!!

  • i'll take Oscars word over Barkleys every single time.

  • you cannot say that lebron james is better than jordan to this point. but once he gets his rings and when its all said and done, its irrogant and plain stupid to think that he couldnt be better.

  • I love Oscar and he is one of the greatest ever, but I think he's bit jealous of MJ getting all the spotlight for being the G.O.A.T.

  • @hmwillow i really doubt it, if he is jealous of some one else been called the best why does he go and call someone else the best, and better than him.

  • Lebron James is better then Kobe but it's very close between him and Jordan

  • Sincere observation from a legend who's been through so much and can still relate to LeBron James.

  • Magic+Jordan = Lebron ....sprinkle alittle bit of Wilkins power

  • fuck lebron he cant plays, he travels all the time, he cant win, no comparission with MJ comon

  • Imagine Michael Jordan and James worthy on the same team. Or Michael Jordan and Shawn Kemp. Michael Jordan and Barkley, Or Mike amd David Robinson, it all = Championship. Robert Horry said Michael is the greatest by far and he played with Kobe at least 6 years.

  • @Restoration2006 Pippen is just as good as all the guys you listed

  • Seriously, Let's get serious, You can't Possibly Be serious. To me Jordans 10 scoring titles 7 in a row would mean GOAT! Not to mention Defensive player of the year award. When did Pippen have a post game like Jordan. Phil Jackson said Jordan was the greatest interior Player

  • this old man is crazy.... MJ do things that i never saw, he is a true legend

  • @deimiankm8 crazy? wtf are you talking about. Im pretty sure the only player to ever average a triple double knows at least LITTLE about basketball.

  • Oscar thinks that lebron is the type of triple double player that he was...hes so wrong...Oscar is a living legend

  • Wise words. Very well said by the legend himself

  • Oscar can identify with LJ.

  • Thank you.. Words spoken from a true legend..

  • Oscar Robertson is so overrated...needed Kareem to win...of course he sides with Lebron...HE CAN'T WIN EITHER...although the league will fix it very soon so Lebron gets his ring.

  • @rexgrossman06 Faggotry detected. Strong username to post correlation.

  • Oscar is the only player in the NBA to average a triple double! This is incredible. He should be in the conversation with the greatest.

  • @JayGatsbyOdysseus Yeah that was when the average NBA player had a veritcal jump of about 12". The game's far more athletic now. He'd never get a triple double competing against todays players.

  • @Humanrightsforall1 Tell that vertical jump stuff to Dr. J. and David Thompson and Wilt. There was serious talent back then. Sometimes I think more than now. You just don't seem to understand how difficult it is to get a triple double. Now, to average one?

  • @JayGatsbyOdysseus Oh I do, thats why I said "He'd never get a triple double competing against todays players" The guys you mentioned were great compared to their peers for sure, their stats don't lie. But it's not about them it's about the competition they faced and most of the players back then in the NBA were donkeys who couldn't run and jump. Just look at rebound footage back then compared with today. It's laughable.

  • It's all media. And all of you are going along with it. Pathetic.

  • Lebron is the best player in the game today, but he'll never be as good as mj, big o, pip, larry, magic, kareem or any of the "real" legends

  • i bet that oscar dislikes MJ...!

not because he says that lebron is at least as good as MJ but because of his attitude and because of 0:27...

  • For the people that's calling M.Jordan overrated either was a late 80s babe, 90s babe, and dont know what the hell your talking about.. James has a long way to go before you say hes better then Jordan. If anything we should be comparing Kobe to Jordan thats the only closet guy to Jordan right now in today's game.

  • well said by oscar robertson, it's all a bunch of crap. Lebron doesn't need to worry about being jordan, Lebron has his own playstyle, bigger, faster, stronger than jordan, great rebounder, sets his teammates up perfectly, jordan could score but I doubt he could take that cavs team where Lebron did.

at the end of the day who cares, Lebron is taking it as fuel. And he's not going to care at all, because all his haters show his greatness. your not doing anything great if you dont have haters

  • Oscar Robertson never said LeBron James is better than Michael Jordan.

He just said that LeBron is in a class by himself, fix your title.

  • @Dalwai1 "Lebron isn't as good as Michael Jordan? Come on...pshh Lebron is in a class all by himself."

  • @JFR916 "Perspective is king"

It depends on how you look and interpret his words. And even if he did refer that, why go against what he said?

  • @JFR916 Just cause Oscar Robertson says it doesn't make it true. Lebron has also been compared to Oscare Robertson a lot as well as far as pure overall dominance. Could be an ego thing on Oscar's part. Regardless, there's no arguement to be made at this point that Lebron is better than Michael Jordan. I'm sorry, it's just not the case. If you have an honest point to why Lebron is better than Michael I'd like to hear it.

  • @Dalwai1 he did say it, check you ears.

  • @This7is7my7Insanity Alright, he did say it.

So now what? We will have to wait until LeBron James' career is over and he steps away from the game of Basketball to evaluate his legacy.

  • @Dalwai1 I agree, but when you have as much time as he has left, its practicly a given that he will end up being the greatest.

  • he won 1 title and that was because of Kareem lol he doesn't know what he's talking about he was great but he wouldn't have woon title if it wasn't for Kareem

  • this should be renamed oscar robertson on drugs

  • OMFG! THANK YOU GUYS! HOLY SHIT! THE WORLD IS SO FUCKING STUPID! Michael Jordan Is Fucking Overrated! They Say LeBron Has The Potential To Be Better Cuz He Can Basically Do ANYTHING On The Court (None Of That 4th Quarter Shit) That's Why Pippen Said LeBron Is/Could Be The BEST Overall Player. Jordan Is The Greatest Scorer Ever! Jordan Could Never Do What LeBron Did With Cleveland.

  • smart guy that big O.

  • Jordan is better, he was the complete player. Lebron still needs to better some areas of his game like shooting and free throws. And his late game disappearances in the finals didint help his case either. We all know Jordan has way to much fire and determination to just watch his team lose in the 4th q.

  • If Lebron worked on his shot I'd take him over Jordan. Jordan's over-rated.

  • @FavreianVengeance True Lebron has the talent to be better and i would take him over MJ and i like MJ but he is kinda overrated.......IMO.

  • @Thekingpac2014 I totally agree. Players like Lebron, Magic and LB know how to get the most out of their teammates. Jordan was over-rated, winning rings against watered down teams that choked. Not to mention he wins ZERO rings if Pippen isn't making plays on both ends. I'm not even sure that Jordan is better than Pippen truthfully. Jordan's definitely over-rated.

  • @FavreianVengeance IKR he is one of the greatest top 10 definitely but they call him the best of his era which is kinda crazy and whats so crazy is that Magic,Bird, and Kareem were in his era and MJ was a scoring talent he was not born to play basketball LBJ was.The thing im trying to prove to these MJ riders is that Kareem wasn't in his prime,Bird got hurt in '88 entering him in the twilight yrs of his career Magic just quit in that series to me looking back on ESPN Classic....continue

  • @FavreianVengeance ......Also Hakeem never had any help during the yrs '87 to'92 i think the Bulls would have got there ass handed to them in the '94 finals if Jordan never retired the first time even if they were a badass team.Scottie was wayyy more athletic than Jordan he said it his self i have the vids and the magazines to prove it but its stupid how Barkley would go to such lengths to dis Lebron to call MJ the greatest.Did you see what Magic said about Lebron at a college it has got crazy.

  • @Thekingpac2014 Yea Hakeem was dang good. I'd consider taking him over Jordan in my all-time draft. I think if it was Hakeem and Pippen again people would be talking about Hakeem over Jordan in the same way they'd be talking about Barkley if it was a Barkley and Pippen. I haven't heard what Magic said about LBJ. What?

  • @FavreianVengeance Yeah i would too i always wanted to now this would MJ still be the man or considered the greatest if he only won 1 ring or none at all......and Magic came out a couple a days ago and said Lebron waa peron that would not will a championship and every guys he claim to be joking but he kept on destroying his name that made me lose alot of respect that was ab ig shock coming from him...Bird and Big O don't dis lebron at all...the vid just look up magic disses Lebron or something.

  • @Thekingpac2014 Yea I went and saw it. I figure LBJ really dissed Magic b/c that's not at all like him to publicly trash talk like that.---Back to Jordan's over-ratedness. Did you know Bird beat him 14x in a row. Also, the Bulls avg'd more ppg 2 yrs b4 he arrived. So much for the no teammates myth. Bird came into the league, turned a 29 win team into a 60 win team and won a championship yr 2. Jordan came into the league n had 3 losing seasons. CONTD.

  • @Thekingpac2014 CONTD When Bird left in 89, the C's went from 57 wins to 42. When Jordan left in 94 the Bulls went from 57 to 55. Also, Pippen that yr, Pippen became the first player to lead his team in pts, asts, rebs, blks and stls. So much for the Jordan made him better apologists. Jordan was a a really good player, but a lot of his goodness was cancelled by his selfish play. His style did not work in the 80s for a reason.

  • @FavreianVengeance Bird retired in '92 i thought. And yeah MJ was a beast but it was his selfish play that made him look bad and yet everybody says he never did play that way which he did and Pip was the man that year i was way too young to remember but i have seen mostly every game that he played in i have to say a person that needs way more credit i was pissed at how these guys put MJ over every person in NBA history it leaves you saying WTFand if Jordan was in his prime in the 80's=Shutdown.

  • @Thekingpac2014 Yea. Bird lost 15 pounds heading into 87 and he he personally had his best 2 seasons becoming the only player to average 50 FG, 40 3 FG, 90 FT two seasons in a row. Up to that time he pretty much owned Jordan. Then 89, Bird tore both ACLs. He came back at all-star level but he wasn't dominant like he was and he had his 3 worst seasons while playing with a crippled back But if you watch the crippled Bird-Jordan match-ups in the 90's they were even CONTD.

  • Comment removed

  • @Thekingpac2014 finally, i thought I was the only one with common sense.

  • @This7is7my7Insanity Yeah thats how i feel people just give MJ too much credit i mean too much.MJ is one of my favorite players, but it pains me to see the media bring up his name everytime LBJ,KD,or D-rose not to mention Kobe.Everybody is they're own person and thats one of the main reasons i don't watch ESPN cuz its so bias and they don't understand that word.LBJ is my fav player alltime list next to A.I.,and i just turn the channel when that fool Skip shows up cuz he strokes MJ allday.

  • Oscar was a great basketball player but now he's a delusional old man.

  • @ldsmithson lol true that

  • see three legends said lebron may be in lebrons llevel if not, will surpass MJ. As of noow, Lebron has a LONG way to go. but all u guys who say no ones gonna be onn MJ's level, that isnt true. there will be somebody and if Lebron works hard he has POTENTIAL to be tht guy

  • I want to see Lebron play against the same defense as Jordan had to play against and then do better when he can't do better in the weak defensive league now... Stupid conversation anyway

  • Oscar Robertson says Lebron better than MJ

    I say Oscar Robertson is...******:D

  • I agree wit da big o!

  • it doesnt even need to be discussed any more the only people saying lebron sucks are the people who should be saying it. those people are fans who support other teams. i like hearing what barkley has to say because he knows what hes talking about but right here....i disagree. when legends who we all recognize and praise as basketball players are praising a man saying hes great its because its the truth. that being said i think lebron needs to take negative comments and use it as fuel like jordan

  • micheal jordan is no question better than lebron james. so what's the doubt about?

  • Anyone who thinks LeBron James is better than Michael Jordan, should just stop watching basketball, PERIOD. Dumbest shit I've ever heard

  • Lebron right now isn't better than his own teammate Dwayne Wade, so to say he will be mentioned in the same breath as MJ is simply insane. Dwayne when healthy is just as good offensively than Lebron is if not better. Triple Double is wonderful, especially when your playing against slow white guys. My dad (O'malley) was a slow white dude and a basketball historian after playing for the Hawks in the 70's

  • when its all said and done lebron will be mentioned more than MJ . soon they're going to be saying " he's going to be the next lebron " instead of MJ .

  • @LostnMelrose When it's all said and done LeBron will be considered the best player of his generation, a player of incredible potential that could not match Michael Jordan.

  • oscar averaged a triple double .

    MJ didnt .

  • @LostnMelrose that doesn't matter. Robertson was a baller but the game was different, he had a different role than MJ, MJ was a far better athlete, and there was no 3 point line in Oscar's day, hense the reason he got so many assists.

  • Oscar just lost some credibility with that moronic statement about Lebron.

  • Oscar didn't carry the bucks.. kareem did...

  • Sorry Big O You were clutch in finals deciding games,.Magic was clutch in finals deciding games,Bird was clutch in finals deciding games,Wade is clutch in finals deciding games, .........Lebron takes a back seat in the finals deciding games.

    Do an internet search for

    The LeBron James 4th-quarter experience

     By Tom Haberstroh

    ESPN.com

    ..................................

.LeBron Declared the Heat will win not 1,2,3,4,5,6 but 7 championships

    He's out of his mind.

  • the title is misleading he sayd lebron is his own player

  • @0:28 this is the result of having a statue with a pole stuck in your ass... ask oscar!

  • Comment removed

  • wow his old ass must have alzheimer's..cuz he totally forgot about a whole decade of dominance. MJ's like the beatles...the world will never see anything like it again

  • I didn't know Oscar Robertson has Down Syndrome

  • Show me a player from start to finish since basketball was invented, that has led the league in scoring 10YEARS STRAIGHT!!!!! Until they can produce someone who has come 6years close THE CONVERSATION ABOUT THE GREATEST PLAYER EVER IS OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I have seen this before from Walt Frazier and some other players from their era, they for lack of a better word or phrase are plan and simple HATERS!!!

  • its amazing how ignorant great players are. but wait i don't believe this i know just as well as anyone else how much money is made by making stupid statements for the media especially if you have legendary credentials this is about a 250k b.s. statement

  • Oscar is a LeBrick dick-rider! LOL!

  • I see a lot of young stars today not even averaging 25 pts per game ... and they are already touted as NBA Superstars? C'mon Man!

Compare that to a 40 yr old MJ who still averaged 20+ points as a Wizard.

  • Uhm Guys, did nobody see how a 40 year old MJ embarrased NBA present day stars back in 02-03? Now since when was the last time that you've seen something like that?

A 40 yr old player posting 40+ and 50+ points while being rigidly defended by younger guys who are supposed to be stronger and quicker?

If MJ can do those things past his prime, what do you think he will do in his prime with today's NBA standards and revised rules? Nuff said!

Call me when Kobe scores 50+ when he gets to his 40s.

  • @jetgarcia33 I will lol

  • no hate to lebron but yall r giving him to much credit too soon. he is an outstanding player but nowhere near mj, and he wont be becuz they play 2 different styles. mj is better simply becuz he is a winner. and lebron, well we'll see

  • Dude lebron ain't even better than kobe how you gonna put mj in the equation

  • Doug Collins and others say Jordan is the best because he did it all he played both sides of the court. Plus watching every player on here Jordan is the most exciting to watch.

  • Robinson

    Ppg:25

    apg: 9

    rpg: 7

    Lebron

    Ppg: 27

    apg :7

    Rpg: 8

Lebron would prob have the exact same numbers as Robinson if he played PG instead but man these 2 are alot a like

  • @trevor18hi btw lebron is getting to the peak of his Career so his stats will prob look like this at the end of his Career (MAYBE)

    Ppg: 28.5

    Apg : 7.5

    Rpg: 8.2

gonna be alot of fun to watch lebron i love how he can do it all tho i will say this Lebron is alil better defender then Oscar only reason i see Lebron going higher in the hall of Fame

  • respect to someone doesnt blow the medias dick like all the mj nuthuggers

  • i wonder how much OR got paid? hmmnn...

  • he didnt say he is beter he said lebron is lebron mj is mj stop the comparisment

  • Right and pippen said Jordan could score 81 or 100 if he played now in his prime with the no hand checking rule and other different rules.

  • @HardKore5250 yea he could i agree but Jordan wouldnt be able to play Defense as well and also Jordan is a Great Scorer Best Ever but his All Around game is not really that good...

  • my opinion only...i reckon...those old time HOF-ers that comes out and support LBJ over Mj like Kareem scolding pippen...and Oscar in this clip...came out for one reason...they are being sour grapes becuz MJ did what nobody before him and ever since has done...he changed so much to the game of basketball and was FAR MORE superior than his precursors...he didnt score 100...but i bet if he played against wilt he could have dunked over him repeatedly...thats why they cant stand MJ cuz he's too good

  • I've watched everybody on here Jordan is the best sorry folks the consistency and style of play was amazing what he could do in the air and on the ground and the most exciting no never know what you get from Jordan. He could of gone more seasons if his body didn't take a toll to have most points per game surpassing Kareem.

  • @HardKore5250 kareem and oscar are so sour towards MJ simply becuz MJs play was so out of his time...he is WAY BETTER than everyone before and ever since...

  • @retrotw But it wasnt just them that said this Jerry West, Scottie Pippen, even Larry bird all say Lebron is Overall a Better player and i agree with them Jordan is the Best scorer in history Period but when it comes to Over all game all Jordan Could do is play Defense to a point and Score like no other but lebron can get Points , Rebounds, Assists, Play Defense Etc he is Even working on his Post game which if lebron can get good in the post watch out!

  • @trevor18hi but again...MJ's defense ...offense...and athleticism as far as im concerned is still better than lebron james...lebron james is not as good as MJ period...maybe he is a better playmaker...but MJ is just as good as him passing the ball...but MJ's style allows him to take over the game where we think he is hogging the ball..but the fact is...he feels like he can do it easier by himself...he carried the bulls to championships...thats good enough for me...Oscar is just a sour puss...

  • @retrotw Jordan Could not Pass like Lebron, Lebron makes outstanding passes that ive nvr ever seen MJ do i will Admit Right now Lebron isnt better then MJ right now but Lebron is just entering his prime im just saying Lebron when its all said and done Lebron Could be the best and if u dont wanna hear that its life people are gonna be Better then MJ someday hell lol i think Magic Johnson is tied if not better then MJ maybe even Bird People have done what Mj has done already whats so special about

  • @trevor18hi 88-89 Michael Jordan averaged 32ppg, 8reb, 8ast. His first 11 games at point guard he posted 10 triple-doubles, 7 consecutively. Michael Jordan could do anything he was asked to, and when he was asked to play like Oscar, Bird, and Magic he did. I wish you would drop the pretense of rationality and reasonable dialogue and expose yourself for what you are: an ignorant sports fan incapable of formulating a logical argument in support of his opinions. Sigh.

  • Respond to this video... About Mj people have Avg more points then him in a Career people have won Way more Championships and they also Lead there team people just think Mj is the best because of this Media Hype Dude Kareem was a better player then jordan like i said tho Jordan is the Best Scorer i dont see Jordan as a leader he was more of im better then u so pass me the ball and ill shot which he hit the shots but still i think W/o Scottie there wouldnt be any rings

  • @trevor18hi Idk about Kareem. Kareem didnt win til he got Magic & Worthy. Reason that MJ was so great is that basketball is a big man's game & MJ was a Guard. He was as effective as a dominant big man but farther from the basket. Kareem was great but he couldnt win til he got other players. Sure Mj didnt win without Pippen but nobody won rings by themselves. Even Wilt couldnt win against Russel &co. Mj was just versatile & dominant athletically & mentally.

  • @trevor18hi Mj went from dominating the game athletically from his rookie year. Then in his & Scottie's 1st 3peat, he expanded his game outside. His final 3peat, he relied on the outside game almost entirely. Then when he was 38-40yrs old, he still dominated games vs the next gen. All the while, MJ played great defense & 1st player to get 200 steals/100blks in a season. & he did it in back to back seasons. Kareem came back & was supporting cast for Magic & co.

  • @trevor18hi The reason Mj is so great is that as a guard, he was mroe versatile. 1 thing that puts most G over big men is FTs. big men usually have a higher fg%/effectiveness on the court because they r in the low post & scoring off of rebs. Mj scored as efficiently as a big man while still being able to have a higher FT% & could steal the ball & block shots. Not many centers/pfs get steals. Also, Wilt was the best scorer. The most skilled is debatable. MJ just had the right mix to dominate

  • @ohelmy94 no MICHAEL JORDAN is the best player ever Michael made pippen into a top 50 player. Plus Michael didnt leave Chicago when Detroit beat year after year.

"maybe you didnt see my failure gave me strength and that my pain was my motivation" - Michael Jordan

  • ok maybe lebron is better than kobe, but not better than mj. lebrons a beast tho

  • god bless Oscar Robertson best statement "Whats a legacy anyway the guy can play or he cant play"

  • another jealous player....mj was given an unofficial title; "Best ever"

if oscar said that he himself is better than mj, it's arguable....but to say lebron is better than jordan is outrageous

he may BECOME better, but he IS nowhere close to mj's level

  • oscar robertson is better than both .

  • oscar probably gave lebron the best advice of any other person. Just grit your teeth and go harder.

  • Championships

    Jordan 6 Lebron 0

Look. I'm not a guy who talks Lebron down, or hate on him. He's amazing. The best of his era.

I'm also not a guy who says "Nobody can ever beat Jordan as he's Michael Jordan". Lebron's better at certain stuff than Jordan ever was, and pushes him close.

But it's not a viable argument. Especially when Lebron is sitting on 0 championships.

If he ups his scoring, and starts winning 3-4 rings, then lets have the debate

  • Jordans average up to 26 years of age (Lebron's age) was 34 points per game. Lebron's is 27.

Scoring, it's not that close. Jordan miles ahead.

Lebron's a better rebounder, but he's also a forward, and 80 pounds heavier than MJ. Jordan still averaged 6.3 rebounds per game. Lebron is at 7.1

Assists - Lebron has the advantage

Steals - Jordan averaged 2.4 per game CAREER. More than John Stockton! Lebron is nowhere near that.

Blocks per game is about even.

  • You know, everyone has their favourites, but I don't get this argument.

When you take away Jordans 2 comeback years with Washington, at about 40, he averages about 33 points a game career.

Lebrons never averaged 33 in a single season. His highest ever is 31. Jordan Surpassed that 6 times, and his best season is 6 PPG better than Lebrons.

  • As a scorer, Michael Jordan has a restraining order on Lebron because he ain't nowhere close! Defensively I'd say up to par except for the fact that many of Lebron's steal attempts lead to easy scores for his opponents. The only thing Lebron has on MJ is that fact that he plays point. For real is MJ was a point guard I'm sure as hell he could do that too, but he hasn't. Lebron has yet to prove he's anywhere close to MJ. He has to prove he can touch any other legend because he ain't one yet.

  • I think Oscar says this because LeBron reminds him so much of himself. An all-around great player who, during his early & dominant years, couldn't win a championship. A title eluded him until he joined up with another great player. Although, Oscar won in his first trip to the Finals w/ the Bucks; LeBron lost and gave a rather disappointing (to say the least) performance.

  • @gmn545 Not only Oscar but Pippen and Bird. Some of the greatest all-around players ever.

  • @BrooksRobby5 i agree but are you saying black people arent smart?

  • i got mad respect for you OR, but are you fuckin' stupid. no ones ever gunna be on MJ's level

  • @andrewsca3835 see by saying "no ones ever gunna be on MJ's level" shows that your not even OPEN to it being possible. It IS true that nobody will get a better LEGACY, just like nobody will have a better one in Boxing than Ali.

  • @JFR916 well with the diminished talent in boxing there can never be anyone as good as Ali because there is no on there to test him.

Ali would walk through today's boxers undefeated and no one would notice because it would not be interesting to watch him simply knock everyone out in 5 rounds.

  • @JFR916 what you talking bout everybody knows rocky marciano was the greatest not ali

  • @JFR916 What is the probability that LBJ will win 9 more scoring titles, 3 more steals titles, 3 more league MVPs, raise his win shares per 48 minutes, player efficiency rating, rate of conversion in the clutch-it's statistically verifiable that MJ has the highest rate of conversion in the clutch in NBA history, and win 6 Finals MVPs? MJ is a better scorer, defender, and when he was asked to play PG in 89 averaged 32ppg, 8reb, 8ast, however, as I stated earlier facts mean nothing to you.

  • @andrewsca3835

Yeah, what does Oscar Robertson know about basketball?

  • @andrewsca3835 Question: Who's more qualified to evaluate MJ vs Lebron - Is it Hall of Famer Oscar Robertson,The Big "O". the only man in NBA history to average a triple double for AN ENTIRE SEASON, and who many still vote as the best overall player to ever play basketball - or is it your dumbass, an internet nobody who gets paid $5.50 an hour to flip burgers and dump fries into hot oil without burning himself? Sorry, but I'll rely on the analysis of the Big "O" over you any day.

  • @DreamsCumTrue469 That triple double means nothing in our basketball era now. The fact is that Oscar was playing against inferior competition; mostly white players, that could not defend. I don't buy into the argument that he knows anything other than he hates Jordan like he hates white people.

  • @cwsnhu12 So if u think Oscars competition was worse than MJ's, is the competition that michael jordan faced inferior to than of which Lebron, Kobe and Wade face today?

  • When MJ was young and dominating the game it was the best it's ever been. Magic, Bird, Kareem, Hakeem, Shaq, (Moses and Karl) Malone, Stockton, Robinson, Rodman, Thomas, Payton, Pippen, Drexler, Wilkins, Ewing, Dumars, Mutombo, hell even flashy guys like Kemp and Chambers - when has the NBA ever been that good? The defense in today's game is hindered by handchecking and 3 second rules that keep bigs out of the paint and get ghost fouls just for tapping somebody's jersey. You can't compare.

  • @SolidSnakeRules I agree that Mj is better than Kobe and Lebron. I just think that it's purely opinionated what soldsnakerules said. If we go by the assumption that every era is more advanced, better, etc then we'd have to say this era has better players, competition, etc. I Will say I think each era as a whole get's slightly better athletes, etc but the 80's players aren't light years behind the 90's players and the 90's aren't light years away from 2000's players.

  • @cwsnhu12 The only thing inferior is your analytical skills. Only YOU, a nobody, says his triple double has no meaning. No recognized basketball expert or Hall of Famer past or present agrees with you. Oscar never said he hated anybody, so don't lie on him. He doesn't have to smile and love anyone who mistreated him whether you think he should or not. What is visible from your comments is that YOU hate Oscar, which i suspect is due to your ignorance of the times during which he played.

  • @cwsnhu12 Who says teams in the NBA today play better defense than when Oscar played? The numbers don't support you. The greatest defensive player in the history of the NBA was Bill Russell. Expansion has tripled the # of teams since Oscar played. Today, young untrained players make teams when they couldn't years before. Oscar's peers were all seasoned with 4 years of college playing, no high schoolers learning on the job. All you know is today, you know nothing about the past. Typical

  • You're kidding right? How much the league pay you to say that, Oscar? Class-less by himself, maybe.

  • Oscar is probably one of the most bitter players to every play in the NBA

  • Lebron is not as good as MJ. What is the basis for that? MJ had better ball-handling ability, better dunking (even though this could be debated), better shooting, more consistency, better defense, better team mate. HOW IS LEBRON BETTER, HOW??

  • Lol, Lebron is NOT on Michael Jordan's level. When was there ever a time within a Finals did you see MJ disappear? Oh wait, MJ was Finals MvP 6 times, however for two straight Finals, what has Lebron done? So much talent but he can't back it up within the Finals.

He only shows up when he's ahead but bails out when they are behind. Lets not even talk about talent wise because MJ>>>Lebron, however the Killer Instinct, MJ stands above the rest. It's not even close, MJ>>>>>Big-O>>>>>>>>>>>LBJ.

  • @BrooksRobby5 no this is about basketball. this isnt the cocksucking forum your usually on faggot. wrong tab.

  • @JFR916 The irony here is astounding. You misrepresent players comments, forgo any analysis of your own, and present that specious garbage to support your intuitive sense the LBJ is better. Interesting that your actions parallel that of dick rider.

  • @JFR916 HAHAHAHAH! YOU FUCKING BURNED HIM!!!!

  • jordan haters dickride lebron

  • @Armondbc Scottie Pippen, Oscar Robertson, Larry Bird say Lebron tied with best if not the best ever.

  • @JFR916

    And everyone else says Jordan...................

I could find you 5 players who think Kobe is the best ever.

  • @JFR916

I have no doubt that Labron is going to put up incredible numbers, so did Wilt. Yet back when Wilt averaged 50 points a game, Bill Russell was voted (by the players) as the MVP.

Players understand it's TEAMS that win, not players - but the greatest skill a team player can have can't be documented in the stats. Russell made teammates play better.

Lebron ain't got that skill - yet.

  • @ReformBarackObama i knew this isnt my conversation but you cant say he doesnt make teammates play better Lebron might be the best in the league at making his teammates better.... you have to remeber the other guys russell had on his teams he had like 5 or 6 hall of famers i believe....

  • @shaq430 OMG if Lebron can't win with the Heat then he can't be involved in the same conversation with Russell.

Russell did NOT always have the best players - he had the best teams - and the difference was HIM -- how do i know it was him? Well he was involved 11 times in 13 years. Oh and the people he was playing with said it was him.

  • @ReformBarackObama bro i understand and i agreee that he was the main part of those teams but all i was saying was that you have to take into acount that in all of those championship teams there were multiple hall of famers in there... theres no debate that russell was the best player on those eams i was just saying

  • @shaq430 you don't seem to understand that other teams had BETTER players.

At least 3 of the teams that Wilt had better players. And lost the finals... Russell just found a way.

  • @JFR916 in order to be the best ever you need the best in the league. the best in the league are the champions. they should wait til he proves himself a winner before they start calling him the best ever.

  • @JFR916 You misconstrued their comments, further it's statistically verifiable that MJ is better than LeBron, however, that does not matter to you as you've intuitively come to the conclusion that LeBron is better than MJ. *shrugs* dishonest fan boys will be dishonest fan boys *shrugs* The level of competition and defensive intensity is low today, and yet LeBron can't match MJ's productivity on a per minute basis.

  • @JFR916 LeBron's tied with the best at what? He hasn't led his team to a title yet. He undoubtedly has the physical dominance and skill to be even the best ever & he has more than enough help now. But until he develops that killer instinct to close in the Finals, he's not in that category yet. Let his career play out. The haters and dickriders are two of the same.

  • @Armondbc No offense but MJ is in a class all his own. How many times did Lebron not hit in the clutch or just fade away when the series mattered?! Sure Lebron made it to the Finals with only 1 other All Star but Lebron didnt show himself in the Finals or take it into his own hands. He even got 2 other All-Stars with a great supporting cast in Miami & still onyl made the Finals. Miami basically gathered a great team & he still didnt get the ring. thats with the champs out of the playoffs.

  • Through the years 'The Big O' has taken shots at Jordan. He could be jealous.

  • oscar, u suck. u dominated in the early 60s. overweight and at 6'4" Jordan would rip you and everything you accomplished in one game against each other
