  • Too bad that you didn't add any subtitles even though some of us do understand little Japanese but still

  • Polish tuning and the surface after it dries. Reference

    (let's make the totoro ocarina.)

  • Yes, I hope so.

  • You are awesome, Mr. I hope you will make more videos on how to make different kinds of ocarinas!

  • ♪(ノ^o^)ノ You're welcome.

  • That has a simply gorgeous sound! Arigato gozaimasu, ocarina-sama! <3

  • It didnt show how to do the bottom part in the tutorial.

  • After it makes it, let's think about the hole on the other side.

    Was the sound emitted?

    C_D_E_F_G_A_B ? C ??

If it is OK, the other side hole is necessary.

  • @Piggyvwj It is flat at the bottom, do you remember the clay at the bottom? he attached the "Body" (the round bit)

to the top of that flat bottom

  • were you get the soil i used a softer clay did not work

  • This was an awesome tutorial!

What type of clay did you use?

  • It is a Shigaraki soil of Kyoto.

    It is a general soil.

The kind is not a porcelain soil.

  • Thanks a lot!

I've been trying to get the whistle hole right, but I just can't get it to make a tone. Is there any specific shape or measurements it has to be in order to produce the sound?

  • There is how to make the Totoro ocarina in my channel.

There is an important answer in the illustration that appears to the video.

I am glad when serving as a reference.

  • You've been a HUGE help.

I can't thank you enough, but thank you all the same.

  • you should add subtitles to your videos... trust me, your vids will get more popular this way..

  • It is as you say.

However, I do not understand the method.

What you want to learn is answered in mail. m(_ _)m

  • I've watch your tutorial, can we make a more powerful (Sorry for my bad english) i mean can it sound more "grave" ?

And can we play music like Zelda theme with this Ocarina ?

  • please play the ocarina unison by using the soprano and the alto.

  • Very nice ocarina! Personally, I prefer tenors or altos, but it sounds really nice! And I have a question, is it hard to tune a pendant ocarina? Thanks.

It is usual to tune pendant ocarina.

It is difficult to perform(play) pendant ocarina.

Please dig up clay for alto ocarina(inG) by 42g.

  • Oh my god! my japanese lessons are paying off! you first line in romanji is Arigatou which is thank you!!!!! I'm so exited! gomenasai.... I kind of over did it haha.

  • Very cool video - it turned out great!!! Thanks for the information.

  • ♪(^_-)-☆

  • It sounds very pretty

  • It was lucky by chance.

  • Petey : Will it make a sound if its not dry . TELL ME PLEASE!!!

  • After it dries, the sound is emitted.

It is because the voicing edge is thick when the sound is not emitted.

And, the sound is not emitted when the size of voice hole is not

    suitable.

  • Bravo! Yay!

  • Hi, I have really small hands (not exaggerating).

Does the size of the popsicle stick matter?

The ice cream popsicle stick is wider than my fingers. Should I use a smaller width popsicle stick (I have a coffee stirrer)?

  • I sharpen an ice cream stick and use it. (The former one is 6mm)

The loss under the stick is 6mm, too.

I do not know the size of the coffee stick, but OK the same size.

The small ocarina is completed to a soprano ocarina.

I think that I am good for a manual small person.

  • Hi, I really like the way you're teaching to make an ocarina... the others I can barely follow. I have a question though... how come here in this finished ocarina there are 2 holes at the bottom? I don't think I saw them in the video where you're teaching how to make them. Are they thumb keys?

  • A hole of the bottoms is two. I am after it dries a little to open a hole. The fine adjustment of the hole used the tooth of the drill. Quantity of the root mass=key. Four holes+one: (A).B.C.D.E.F.G.A.B.C. bottom: D.E.F. (A).B.C.D.E.F.G.A.B.C. 2個の裏穴: D.E.F.
  • Thanks, that helps!
