  • Master Wong is a Master~! I do not doubt his ability in any way, shape, or form...It is his interpretation of Wing Chung as he learned it. As he has said, All that matters is how fast he can stuff someone into a casket and close the lid~!

I just wish he was here in the United States instead of Great Britain. His dojo is incredible with all the training hardware for his students~! It is no wonder why his stance is stable and grounded~!

  • If you are into Wing Chun lineage history then you'll recognize this as Pan Nan lineage. This lineage Is the elder of ip mans lineage. I train this style of Wing Chun our open hand form are a little different than others but still uses the same principles and techniques.

  • Thanks for the video. Just wish the application was explained move by move instead.

  • Lo Man Kam WC-Australia here...

  • I study under the Moy Yat lineage and my Sifu always says that in his research he has not found any lineage that doesn't have the same basic principles...With that said, my Sifu often says all WC is pretty much effective. My Sifu has been studying WC for over 25 years and had a 15 year background in Karate prior to WC. When you really think about it though...Not even 2 people in my school does things exactly alike so how can we expect people from all over the world to do things the same.

  • That beginning bit is from Bil Gee.

  • the man is like bruce lee

  • Lo man kam WC here :)

    Currently working in Tokyo

  • @ASnowPuppy Lo man Kam New Nzealand brother

  • It's funny to me how one teacher calls his art "traditional' and all others "modified," and we in the Wing Chun world just accept it. Reality check: Yip Man - as great as he was - wasn't the founder of Wing Chun. He's just the most popular Master. His Sifus had other students who in turn had other students all the way up the line. Are the "traditionalists" to believe that ALL of Yip Man's elders & brothers taught a "modified" system? We should learn to THINK and not accept everything we're told.

  • @wizedomeallah And, for the record, I have trained under a William Cheung disciple, the Moy Yot school, a Jiu Wan (Ip Man's brother in Wing Chun) disciple, a student of both Ip Ching and Ip Chun, and the Fut Sao system. And, I have found that there is merit in all of them. Like multiple pieces of the same puzzle. Of course I have MY preference based on my body type and what works for me, but that takes nothing away from any of them. Heck, I would train with Master Wong if I were in the UK.

  • @wizedomeallah fuck of with your life story twat no 1 cares

  • @manlykperry The thing that makes your comment so sweet to me is that you'd NEVER have the balls to say anything like that to me face to face. LMBO! So, if you want to continue being an internet tough guy, please keep it coming. I love a good laugh. LOL Oh, and BTW, if you ever want to meet face to face just let me know via my message box. Ad, I'll let you know where to find me. Just for shits and giggles, you know. ;^)

  • I like the old Videos fro Master Won waaay more. He was outside and told more about the lessons and more freestyle not so grave :(

I also liked his spelling mistakes well old stuff ..

sorry for bad english im from germany

  • @ChipPk1 This is from the DVD so its not really him live... just so you know. :]

  • Wong Sifu requested from his viewers to either accept or deny his way of doing things. If you want to enjoy and practice with him and his students, then simply dont. Each system has his advantages and flaws. I like to be open-minded about these things and try and explore as many as possible. Wong Sifu once said : Empty your cup,the way Bruce Lee said long ago. Meaning : " Either accept what i'm trying to teach you, forget rules and limitations or simply dont watch my videos ".

  • The point is not to get excited about these issues. Wong Sifu indeed uses modified Wing Chun, not traditional one. But this does not mean his system doesnt work. I belive he is a great master nevertheless. You can't prevent some1 from trying to teach people in their own way. This is Wong's system - Wong's way of doing things. Myself,i started to practice traditional Wing Chun, the one that master William Cheung spreads over the world, but does not mean i don't respect other forms and systems.

  • Man, I'd love to be training with Master Wong. Might actually get something done lol

  • he's form of wing chun is twisted... tensing or muscle and everything its meant to be relax and flow.. not like a bladdy rock.. wing chun is not like that he learnt himself and he shudnt disrespect wing chun by modifying it without knowin any fundemental principles of wing chun.

  • @ChungySC

Isn't there different types of Wing Chun?

  • @ChungySC

With respect, your line of thought is incomplete. Your claim that he isn't relaxed isn't accurate. He relaxes and tenses. Soft cannot defend, and hard cann't be sustained, as they say. If he were constantly tensed he wouldn't be able to complete his movements. In addition, many WC systems could be seen as hybrids of an internal and external art. And, even if Master Wong were too tense in chum kiu, that wouldn't be an argument that he was self-taught. With respect. Be well.

  • @YCWWBCW NO.. HE IS SELF TAUGHT IF YOU ASK HIM get your facts right... and you dnt tense in the form you learn to relax and attack with hip movements not by tensing your arm... the movement must flow not like a rock... and if you see him doing it to his collegue u can see dt he attks by tensing his arm at the end of each strike... and yes there is many types of wing chun but the yip man's two sons is the right ones. otherwise dnt call it wing chun. disgustinly ruining chinese martial art WC.

  • @YCWWBCW well... there are but wts the point of calling it wing chun if its so diff? i mean why have tai chi... wing chun... why not all name it with one name and say theres diff types? it dnt work like dt there are diff types but there shud be an extent...... he shud teach the theory behind wing chun instead of jus focusing on the pratical movements, like extending elbow to punch etc... not jus punch nd say copy wt i do dts rediculous

  • @ChungySC Dont Question just listen because your not a master like he is. In fact if you disagree why are you even watching the video

  • @ChungySC

There are many different styles of karate too. But they are still all called karate.

  • these videos make me want to take lessons...oh wait thats probably the point. well done, i digress. \m/ \m/

  • Master Wong, your the best.
