Heard Ruthie for the first time on CBC radio in Canada and could not believe her voice. Amazing guitar playing as well. I saw her on Austin City Limits soon after and experienced her "live" soul and connection with the audience through the television....powerful. Found out she was coming to Hugh's Room in Toronto, got tickets, took my wife and both of us were moved to see her live....you think this is good, you gotta experience her live. Saw her another time in a church, in T.O. wow unreal!

saw her in chicago a couple weeks ago,great guitar player, wonderful songs, and you'd have to do a LOT of searching on you-tube to find a better singer than ruthie. buy her album "the phenomenal ruthie foster" there are lots of great songs on it.
