America is a continet and both of this coutries, Brazil and US, just like many other countries, like Argentina, Canada, Mexico, Haiti, Jamaica, are countries of the American continent. Do you understand? I can give you another example of this connexion "continent - country" : England, France, Germany, Span are countries of the Europe, wich is a continent.

@gueduo, well, at least I can say is that we are all connected in some way or another. I just hate it when a lot of us(particularly Americans) just go walking around day by day thinking we're the only ones that matter when that far from the truth. We all have this connection of togetherness, but because of self righteous goverments and such other things, we always remain separated with our own languages and are own rules and even are own hatred towards others...a sad way of living indeed...

@vavafilho uh, last time I checked, Lenine was from the Northeastern side of Brazil, and migrated to Rio to be discovered for his incredible talent. What I meant by "we need this in America" is that our music mainstream wise has gotten extremely commercial and corrupt over the years to recent times, don't get me wrong, there's still good talent to be had here, but there rarely heard on radio(EVER) or on television. When I said this country has some of the greatest artists ever, I meant it! Bye!
