Without it, we wouldn't have: Decent sabre battles, sabres deflecting blasters, star wars galaxies, dual sabres, double-bladed sabres, a wealth of content for the 3-4 intermission, ewan mcgregor and liam neeson in the same movie (!), the force doing something besides (although the games did much more for this) push/pull/sense/choke/block blaster (almost all by vader).
@forumrabbit Except that those are all just side things. The Plot and the acting is a key, major thing in film-making. All those other things would've enhanced and also have been enhanced by a well thought out, well executed story, with great acting.
Ewan and Hayden are simply awesome. Especially Hayden. He's the only reason why I watch the 2 and 3 episodes of Star Wars, the script is crap, George Lucas made a load of money for nothing :P
Whenever I see these characters talking, or show up in any video I feel like puking, what a bunch of dick wads, how can you agree to such a piece of shit of movie, it totally ruined their chance to get into a good movie. Just feel sorry for these people, they made some money, but, what happened to them, really, when was the last time you gave these people any thought? You can't think of it, can you, neither can I, that is what the prequels did, they destroyed lives!

Whatever star wars was or is, is something that belongs to the past, the movies are getting really old. George Lucas needs to die, so they release the license, so other more talented people can do something with it, that's the bottom line, today. @Ryuuken24 The most foolish post involving Star Wars that I've seen in a while. This was a great movie with great depth, great characters, a great story, and great special effects. It was better than the originals. It wasn't as good as the Phantom Menace because it bogged down here and there, but it could honestly be fixed with a director's cut easily. The actors are all doing fine, especially Natalie Portman. This film did not ruin their careers. The Originals ruined careers, not the prequels.

I love Hayden to death, I think he's a great actor, but jeez it must've either been the writing or the directing because the skill just doesn't carry over into the part of anikin, partly beacuse he obviously direction wise wasn't allowed to exxpress emotion... HELLO! this is anikin freaking skywalker he's a emotional mess and irrational, not a sociopath!
You know, I've never had a problem with Hayden's acting. I think people have more of a problem with Anakin's character, but they blame it on Hayden. I think the guy was just trying to act the part he was given. Lloyd, meanwhile...
