no i wouldnt reccomend this for a starter bike, at max i would recommend the Ninja 500, but that still might be a little to fast, but if u want a good bike thats not to fast i would go for the ninja 250 :)
@plimptonrocksmysocks Would not recomend this bike as a first street bike. A 250 is a great starting bike with the basic elements to learn how to ride. I started on a zxr 250 when i was 17 im 24 now and ride a r1 and a zxr 636. If your just starting out would highly suggest a riding course they are great to learn the basics and proper riding techniques. Dont just listen to keyboard warriors that dribble shit. Safe riding mate take care
@ripoakley well my friend, it will be much better if you start with somethins small , iven if is a scooter , or 125, but anyway if you start with a 600 cbr take care and handleit with brain, CBR it´s a good choise and a very good bike, but like all 600 it´s a very dangerous machine.
@plimptonrocksmysocks go with 600 all the way man, don't listen to people telling you to get 250!! I had no experience whatsoever, bought ninja636 and I'm fine - it's so easy to ride, the only thing that you have to think about is: don't be stupid - respect it and you'll be fine.
i guss you can start with a lower powered second handed bike. if you never velt a streetbike on public roads than its not good to start with something like a 636
