So cute! Just got myself a pair of male rats two weeks ago and I love them already.
Cheeky little guys though, Had them running around my room and didn't realize some change had fallen out of my pocket until I saw one of them running along the floor with a 50p coin in his mouth!
I love when they steal things and run around with them. I was sitting on my bed one time with a box of crackers, and when I wasn't paying attention, my oldest got into the box and stole a mouthful. She then ran around the bed showing them off to her sisters like they were the coolest thing in the world. Your ratty is so cute!!

@vampirepiggylord really?? does the rat poison get into the filter? because they were smoked, so there wasnt much of the white part there for them to eat, and they ate the inside of the filter, not the outside/brown part

@TheSugarluv3451 The tube he stole actually contained ferret malt which is a treat suitable for rats as well as ferrets. Wouldn't have let him near anything that could have harmed him :)
@TheSugarluv3451 Rats have stomachs of steel, its their respiratory systems that are fragile. my rats also steal things like; lotion, aloe vera, tubes of toothpaste, neosporin, laxatives and believe it or not KY jelly! And by the time I have caught them, 1/2 of its eaten. Out of my 34 rats,all have done it and none have died. Rats can eat just about anything. Just ask your vet. I am a veteran rat owner, I kinda know my stuff!
my rat carried a pringles can across the floor one time so she could have it as her little hiding spot for stuff, she hid my socks in the pringles can one time, it was the funniest thing! lol
lol mine steal EVERYTHING! No matter what it is, or where it is. If they have access and it's not nailed down I'll find it in their cage buried under their bedding :-P

Also, stufaman; if it is possible, can you possibly give me any available rat growth charts? I have a young black AH rat named Millie, and she's about 5.5-6 inches long (body, only). It's a girl, of course. I know they typically get to 7-10 inches in body length, but at what age? I don’t just give her commercial rat food, but organic dog food, ferret food, crickets, waxworms, veggies, and fruits.

As for what I fed him, not sure, it's a few years old this video now, but probably Pets at Home rat food or Xtra Vital rat food. And he was quite a big rat but not huge, just the right size lol XD

@v8wr How large is your dog? It's a misconception to say that dogs cannot have chocolate at all. They can have certain amounts, depending on their size and, of course, the type of chocolate (dark, milk, white, etc.). The smallest dogs would be in the biggest trouble from even small portions of chocolate. Medium and large dogs will not have as much of an issue, though. Still, it's not good fro them, like it isn’t for us. This is the same reason young children should not have so much chocolate.
@v8wr The poison in the cocoa is mild to large dogs and us, but too much of it will still kill either one of us. Essentially, giving a medium to large dog one chocolate bar will not kill them, but it’s not good for them. My dog is an English mastiff (165lbs), and he ate a whole package of Oreo cookies and a box of Valentine chocolates. My little brother decided to leave them out, like an idiot, while we were doing errands.
One time during christmas years back, my family and i came home and found our dog Mavrick ( a black lab/boxer mix) on the ground shaking because he had gotten ahold of chocolates and we took him to the vet. He lived some years later but died last year :(

White chocolate contains the least Theobromine, while the baker's chocolate contains the most. Well see growing up my mom always kept her house clean, so no dogs were aloud in the house (well if it snowed or rained they would go stright to the basement with a baby gate at the steps) most of the time they were outside. I had (one's still living just withmy older sister) two dogs, Maverick a Black lab/ boxer mix and Floyd a albino boxer with only a brown spot on his head. Floyed was about the weight you said but Mavericks build was not like a boxers or a black lab...
He was more built like a retriver. Strong back legs. And he didnt look like a boxer or a lab he was just maverick. He was big and was black with white on his chest and paws and on the tip of his tail. He was a long haired dog i'm not sure but i dont think black labs have long hair.. I mean it was thick, he needed a brushing alot. But what i remember from him was when we would be in a sad situation we would sit on the front step and cry.. he could stick his head under our arms..
My rats love those kind of tubed packages aswell. It's really scary though, cause they've normally got medication in, and my rats have chewed a hole in it, and eaten half the medication, and carried on living healthily!
haha its so funny when rats do this, I found my glasses case, a tube of neosporin, a 75$ check that fell on the floor, and my bluetooth under my bed that my pet rat Gibbs had stolen.
My rats LOVE plastic bags...if they can, they reach through the bars of the cage with their paws and grab the bag to pull it closer, shred it and make a nest of it... AND steal whole apples
