  • OMG double one-handed butterflies! That rocks.

  • AMAZING!

  • This is an amazing flick, a true testament to the beauty of traditional Maori culture. I have a hard enough time with Poi, but singing, dancing and all choreographed perfectly shows immense skill!! FullafromNZ, Aboriginal culture and language hasn't been integrated into Australian contemporary culture as there are many many different tribes, and hundreds of different dialects. It is definitely a shame for us, i lived in NZ for a while and really appreciated the cultural integration.

  • Ka mau te wehi. E tiro ana au ki nga mahi kapa haka. Ko enei tatou , matou ahakoa ko wai koe .Tu tonu Aotearoa MAURI ORA

  • Wow. And here I thought this was supposed to be a happy, joyous video, but the comments seem like nothing more than a "my country is better than yours" pissing contest. Why can we just appreciate what EVERYONE has?

-So says the redneck American with no culture.

  • honey islanders are in constant competition, lol

  • *grins* Gotcha.

  • Comment removed

  • I love it :D

  • This is still a wicked Poi!!

  • wow they r all obese

They may be a bit more on the chubby side but why does it matter? This was a nice video.

  • i saw this live and it was amazing. i've been learning poi my whole life and some of the moves they pulled were crazy! Tu Meke!

  • kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

    fat Family =P! xD

  • thats the beauty of it you ignorant shit. even though they're big they can still move, good luck to you for even trying to swing the poi.

  • Faggot, atleast get to know someone before you judge them. Get over yourself.

  • i love that comment u made thar ahahahahaha....thumbs up!

  • All I can say is you're american lol

    That in itself is funny!

You know yourself that your country has lost the respect of the entire world, and now you greedy clowns have rooted the entire financial system.

Let us be fat in our corner of the world, at least we dont need a "Homeland Security" department lol.

BTW: At leaset we have a culture - Unlike you and Australia.

    Kia Kaha Taku Kainga

  • haha your pathetic, lashing out at others for your own "people's" failings. you suck cocks. you know why? im not even american PWNNNNNTTTTTTT DUMBASSSS do not speak to me again i will leave your lowly self to mull over these things on your own.

  • I honestly dont know what the "f" you are on about.

If you are not American, then I apologise, however note that I do acknowledge my mistakes.

Your obvious attempt at not actually showing your heritage surely shows you are scared that people will have a go at you?

I know the failings of our people, however unlike others, we are addressing it.

So without talking about peoples genitals, perhaps you could engage in more productive conversation?

    Or is that too hard?

  • How can you expect respect when you gallivant about bashing other countries?

Do you honestly base your opinions of a person based on the government actions of the country they were born in?

Do you honestly believe that the actions of a select few on YouTube reflect the majority of Americans?

Sure, "praling" made weak arguments, but you didn't do much better.

It's amusing that everyone feels the right to pride in their country, but god forbid the "greedy Americans" have any in their own

  • By the way, that is directed to "FullaFromNZ."

  • 1. We dont want respect, we have Mana

    2. Of course not all people are the same, that would be like me saying you are a green peace killer who assasinates on foreign soil

    3. Seriously, its Youtube, im sure Praling will get over it.

    4. Face it, the WORLD has lost faith in the American flag. Not saying it wont get it back, but at the moment, it doesnt rank very high in anyones opinon

  • Very well said indeed! I applaud the Maori, Samoan and all the other PIs (Pacific Islanders); they have a strong, rich history, which they have dutifully passed down to their young. While you Aussies, descendants of criminals, have done nothing but beat down the Aboriginal people from the day you set foot on that continent. Show some respect and get a life! Peace Out!

  • Dont start stuff that you cant back up and then tell me to get over it. i would've kept my mouth shut if you hadn't of started talking shit. and i will delete my comments because it does demean the Mana of this Poi, but dont talk shit and then fuking drop nuts it cause you got nothing to say next time just try keeping your mouth shut. that'll keep us all happy.

  • You think just because a race has culture that makes them better than Aussies? All the Kiwi's are migrating into Australia because there is fuck all jobs in New Zealand and crap pay. Culture is good to have, but it won't put money in your bank, and money makes the world go round, not culture.

  • How old are you? Yes money, a country's economy is important, but you have to have an idenity, a history, a culture, in order to have the right blance, otherwise, you're just a bunch of greedy, backwoods, idoits, on the mouse wheel, running abount trying to get the cheese...

  • Sorry then,

We have heart, we have soul, we have culture.

Migration is a way of life, I know of this personally having work for INZ in New Zealand and abroad.

I too have lived in Australia because there is ample opportunity, however Aotearoa will always be home.

Just remember, NZ is a small country with a population the same as Victoria. However we have made more advancements in terms of human rights and culture than your entire country.

  • Although you both are under the the British throne, NZ is an independent country (has been so since the 1800's) from Oz, with it's own parlament. And for the record Aboriginal people or Torres Strait Islanders, are in NO way related to Maori, Samoan or other PI's. Aborigines can be traced back to the Mungo Man, which dates over 40K yrs old. They are a race of peoples completely indingious to Oz.

  • FullaFromNZ - You are showing yourself to be somewhat ignorant. No culture? Though I do realize that Hawaii was illegally taken over (Considering I am from here) and that the Continental US and Alaska were also taken over, it does not mean we have no culture. Hawaii still has it's own Hawaiian culture and there are Native Americans who practice their own culture in the US. And probably the Native's in Alaska. I do realize that there are greedy Americans but all? I disagree.

  • FullaFromNZ - To top that off, even if the US/Hawaii/Alaska did not have the culture that it started with, it still does have culture. And it's funny how people usually just pay attention to the negatives of the US instead of both sides. The US has helped out other countries but some of those countries, once they don't need the help, they turn their backs on the US. Not saying all do but some, perhaps not the government but it's people.

  • FullaFromNZ - There are some Aboriginal Australians who do practice what was practiced before foreigners came, correct?

    He lawai`a no ke kai papa`u, he pokole ke aho;

he lawai`a no ke kai hohonu he loa ke aho.

  • Of course I dont think all people of the USA has no culture, you of all people know that i would then be denying my own culture given ou links to Hawaii.

I am not talking about the First Nation people or the People of Hawaii, I am talking about the red neck of the USA.

In regards to the Aborignials, yes there are some, however why has the Australian people not embraced this culture as they have in NZ? We have two official langauges, and Maori are recognised as the Tangata Whenua.

  • I'm not sure if you can really comment on the co called "rednecks" if you're not even American or a redneck yourself. I have been here all my life and I still only know of a stereotype, not having witnessed any "real" redneck people myself. Even so, it can be considered a culture just as we have the black hip hop culture and every other culture. Just because some people look down on others and judge them doesn't mean their culture is invalid.

  • YOu have a tribal culture but that doesn't mean America has no culture. We are an amalgam of dozens of countries and therefore have not only an American culture but thousands of subcultures. And one of those subcultures is well, fat people. America is one of the fattest countries because we have a lot of wealth and eat ourselves sick because of a sense of entitlement. But still, don't judge America based on one assclown's comments. They don't understand the beauty of Maori culture.

  • matatini starts tomorrow
