Nah, a dedicated drumpad would be better. Maybe a Korg NanoPad? The pads on this drummachine is pretty simple (as in bad) and stiff. I didnt even bother to make patterns on it, sequenced it with ableton live instead.
Yeah, and the NanoPad is also usb-only, wich is great since you don't have to buy a midi-usb interface :)
Korg got some bigger things with pads on aswell, just check it out. And Akai make some pretty sweet pads, if your'e looking for something like the MPC.
