I saw someone using a sledgehammer on a PS3 and it took the guy like 25 hits just to break inside it. Another guy with a 360 and just about the same.

I read it in my "Former' monthly GI (GameInformer) They had people vote to see how many of them had to get their 360's repaired after a current repair. The percentage was 70% and GI said that Microsoft told the press that their systems failure rate went up to 70%. That was like last year though. Form what I've heard, they kinda fixed the problem? Not sure. I've wanted a 360 so badly, but the failure rates kept me from buying.

@evilangelsora Oh okay. Mine works just fine, has for years and I still have the original white one. You could try the new black xbox 360 slim they may have a lower failure percentage but idk. They are more efficient in venting heat so they shouldnt fail at all unless you pour dust or water in it.
