Thanks. It's been a tough year for snook here. I usually see literally 1000's of them up and down the beaches in May/June. Around the Pine Island Sound it was devastated by the cold weather this past year. Hopefully this 1 1/2 yr closure on this species will help the snook population rebound soon.
Why is everyone harassing this guy?? Thats a nice snook! It's nice to see them still being caught after the cold front from last winter! As for the oil spill... do yall know anything about it?? You sound really immature when you don't know your facts. Im not even sure if the oil every reached Sanibel. Get off his back!!! Nice fish man!!
How dumb and ignorant do you have to be to fish in the Gulf of Mexico during the biggest environmental disaster in the US? You have no idea where that fish is coming from. I guess you haven't heard of the over 2 million gallons of toxic oil dispersant that was dumped in the gulf. ...Let alone the oil itself.. Wow! Stupidity galore! Don't forget to breathe...
@seabornsun - If this scattered-brained 'rant' was intended to be a joke, it went over like a lead balloon. If this was a serious comment then....the Village just called. They're looking for their Idiot. First, snook cannot live in cold water so it was very likely a local fish. Secondly, the snook was not in the slot AND it is out of season. For those two reasons, it had to be released (which it was after I had totally revived it). Don't forget to use your head for more than a hat rack..
@seabornsun REALLY?!!! i sincerely hope you were kidding because if not . . . i hope you are heeding your own advice and remembering to breathe . . . on second thought the gene pool will really not miss you should you forget to breathe . . . you sir are an idiot!!!
Very nice fish.
