if a topic like this came up in the exam i would not have a clue but thinking about how one would support or refute the statement would elp a bit. any suggestions if a topic unknown to the student popped up.

In fact, I have many notes in front of me while I film these videos. However, the entire writing portion is live. I do this because I have found in my classroom experience students benefit much more from sharing a writing session with me (writer's block and all) than from a class where we simply read someone else's essay.

It would be too easy for me to type out a preplanned essay, but this is no different than reading a book on essay writing.
