@Sieist23Jahrealt I've tried it on any flat surface but it doesn't oscillate as long. The mirror is actually slightly concave so I think that helps in the disk's spinning. Any heavy, probably metal, disk will spin in a similar way to this one just maybe not quite as long.

@happyunface The mirror is slighlty curved so any curved surface should be fine. Mirrored has nothing to do with it.

@trevrcross i searched for "euler's disk" with the "HD" search option. this was the only result.
