@Haznote i think udachi is from japan, but not really oriented on a japanese sound. a really good producer is saitone, its abstract 8-bit and is one of my fav 8-bit groups. then in the speedcore/gabber scene round wave crusher is good, and spy47 is amazing as well. hope this helps a bit ^^,

Dede Mouse is definitely proving to be a breath of fresh air for me as far as electronic music goes. At first I was sitting on the fence, but in time his music has grown on me quite a bit. He's got a unique sound. =)

Nice alternative to the heavy blog-house and "new rave" (ie, UK indie band remixes) dominating around here (Tokyo) now. I loved that stuff, but am getting a bit bored with it.

Anyway, if anyone can recommended music very similar to this (electronic, peaceful, twilight-like, but not boringly mellow), please list some here. I think the more peaceful Knife songs have a similar feel as well.
