Also, this game (season) was after "Personal Fouls" was published but before all hell broke loose (ie before the university threw Valvano under the bus and then proceeded to de-emphasize the basketball program).

Even with all this going on Valvano still coached them to a 1st place finish...of course they then proceeded to lose to last place Maryland in the opening round of the ACC Tournament. The first, and so far only, time the #1 seed has lost to the #8 seed...what a great distinction.

The RBC is empty BECAUSE we suck out loud. You put teams on the floor that were as good as the old State teams (70's and 80's) and the RBC would be packed and plenty loud.

Don't get me wrong, I love Reynolds too. I have a lot of great memories there. But other than the one token game a year the men's team will never be going back.

As far as renovating Reynolds, it was talked about before RBC was built but it was not cost effective (the design does not lend itself to easy renovation).

i miss reynolds.. bring back reynolds .. a reynolds revolution needs to happen.. fuck the rbc i hate that place.. they ruined tradition in exchange for money.. can't even sell out the rbc center during basketball season.. we had a good thing going with reynolds.. and now the stupid women play on it

i totally agree. if we were smart, we would have spent the money to renovate the inside of reynolds. The atmosphere in that place would rival dukes if we still played there. There is absolutely no tradition in the RBC Center and im tired of seeing empty seats in it

I may be a Maryland Fan, but State had it's best battles at Reynolds and had an atmosphere that rivaled Cole Field House , Cameron Indoor, and Carmichael Coliseum. I think State plays one Men's game a year at Reynolds and I wish my Terps, both Men and Women, can play at least one game a year at Cole (It's still standing, but it's used as a Multi-purpose gym). IMHO, the RBC Center may be bigger, but I agree that State needs to bring Men's hoops back full-time to Reynolds.
