@elinaeverbloom The manga, anime, the characters, the song lyrics, the dramas, Naoko Takeuchi herself, all say Usagi never fell in love with Seiya. What I say is opinion, what you say is opinion but what Takeuchi says is FACT. What you're saying would make some sense if Usagi loved Seiya the way she loved Mamoru but Naoko says that never happened. We're talking about the person who wrote the manga, worked on the show and wrote some of the songs. She knows her story and her characters.

Usagi and Mamoru may be different but they learn and grow from each other because of their differences. Mamoru teaches Usagi the wonders of being calm and the importance of school studies and responsibilty. Usagi teaches Mamoru how to open up and be himself and how to love and be loved. Mamoru's more calm, collected persona balances out Usagi's silly, loud persona. Usagi and Seiya it's just not meant to be and it would be throwing an entire series away and give a huge "Fuck you!" to the creator.
@elinaeverbloom Also, I never thought Mamoru was boring, cold or unromantic. My first contact with “Sailor Moon” and Mamoru was with a dub (not the dreadful American one, mind you). That dub is quite faithful to the original, except for a few names changed. The script remains the same many times or very close to the original. Voice acting is the key.
@elinaeverbloom (cont) The original actor who plays Mamoru plays him like the cool, stoic, token male. The dubbed Mamoru I’m talking about plays him like a romantic lead. He tries to sound charming and romantic to the point he sounds melodramatic a few times. Some minor changes in the script, like calling Usagi “my darling” or Chibi-Usa “princess” makes him sound gentler.

His pervy talk ("oooohh little pudding!") makes him funny as heck and I dare you to watch 5 seconds of a Stars episode featuring Yaten's hilarious tranny voice without laughing. Plus, their songs are very, very good and in japanese, so you get the real and amazing vocals.

The woman owns Sailor Moon and she's crazy about Usagi x Mamoru and guess what? Mamoru is her favorite character and ideal of a man and Usagi is inspired by her own personality.

In episode 195, shes on her way to seiya's final concert and michiru and haruka get mad because they told her not to see him anymore because she has mamoru and then usagi said" well, i love other peole too.!" right there she admitted it. and she certainly didnt mind when seiya kissed her on the cheek. u can tell she has feelings for him by the way she acts.

1. Mamoru loves Usagi; Usagi loves Mamoru. - I don’t really think I need to explain this. If you fail to understand this, I won't bother to explain. You need to watch the whole series again.

But as time goes on and they get to know each other better, it’s pretty blatantly obvious that Seiya falls for her. However, Seiya acknowledges that his love is unrequited.
@missmileena96 3. Usagi only likes Seiya as a friend. - Yes, until the very end. Usagi really cares about Seiya, but in the same way that she cares for all of her friends. Seiya realizes and eventually accepts that he is in a “one-sided love”. So why can’t everyone else?
4. Seiya does not hate Mamoru. - Some people seem to claim “Seiya hates Mamoru and tries to steal Usagi from him!” Okay, that’s just not true. Seiya happens upon a photograph of a happy Usagi and Mamoru. He frowns at the photograph and sets it face-down, remarking, “Stop making her so sad.” Us viewers have to remember that Seiya is seeing the situation from an entirely uninformed view.
(cont. 4) 4. He doesn’t know about their past together as Serenity and Endymion, the deep bond they share, and he certainly doesn’t know that Mamoru hasn’t been writing because he was killed by Galaxia and never even made it to the US. He just thinks that Mamoru is some guy who went off to the US and dumped Usagi by never contacting her. Seiya is just upset because he thinks Usagi is clinging to someone who no longer wants her.
5. Mamoru does not hate Seiya. - I have no idea where people even get this from. They only meet one time in episode 200, and both are very civil. Seiya tells Mamoru to take good care of Usagi, and he also tells Usagi that he’s glad she got her boyfriend back. Mamoru never seems angry or jealous of Seiya. If anything, I would be led to believe that Mamoru is grateful to Seiya for protecting Sailormoon when he couldn’t be there.
6. Seiya is really a female; Sailor Starfighter. - Usagi has proven time and again that she is not interested in females. There’s a small miniscule detail that everyone loves to forget - Fighter’s not really a guy. Sailor Starfighter is 100% female, and only uses the body and persona of Seiya Kou as a disguise on Earth.
(cont. 6) 6. Haruka flirts with Usagi endlessly, and she never acts like she’s interested in that. On the contrary, she usually gets mortified and finds some random excuse to suddenly run off. Although, Haruka really only does it because she knows it makes Usagi uncomfortable.
7. Seiya is a better match for Usagi. - Okay, fair enough, they are more alike than Usagi and Mamoru. However, as they say, opposites attract. Usagi and Mamoru may be different, but they learn and grow from each other because of their differences.

Seiya herself says it and has a song all about that unrequited love written by Takeuchi herself. The story is what it is. Even the musicals had a song in which Usagi sings about her love for Mamoru and Seiya sings for Usagi but she ignores him and keeps singing for Mamoru. Usagi didn't love Seiya back and that's the beauty of it.
@elinaeverbloom Oh come on, like she had any choice in the plot, she was pretty much superglued into having to marry Mamoru whether she fell in love with another or not. If she didn't she'd be killing a daughter she'd already gotten attached to.

I know what it's like to watch a series or movie or read a book and really wanting something to happen but it never does. It's not in our hands to decide. The creator writes the story and the result is what we got. There's always someone who's not 100% happy with the storyline but the creator can't please everyone.
No, she's not with Seiya. Serena (or rather Usagi) went with Seiya on a friendly meeting (she didn't treat it like a date) once, Seiya also had an unrequied crush on her - that's all.
The manga story of Sailor Moon ended with an epilogue, that showes the 20 years old Usagi marrie Mamoru.
Can I tell you what will logically happen afterwords?
Mamoru starts a serious carrier, as well as the former Sailor Scouts, so Usagi will feel more and more casted out. Mamoru treets her like an irresponsible baby. He's gentle and kind, but distant in behavour. Usagi slowly realizes her own uselessness in real life, which makes her depressed and arrogant.

@belin93 Stars is mine ovrall cos its filler eps were ALWAYS excelent as opposed to prev seasons where there were some gud ones some bad ones. its opening 6 eps and closing 6 eps were just kick ass (0 term I don't use lightly with SM). its finale was the best too. SM + R wud b my follow ups cos SM started it all and had the best story arc but R is real nostalgic
@belin93 I didin't get angry with SuperS, I just got tired with it. It was the worst season, but that isn't too say its half as bad as ppl make it out 2 b. once the Amazoness Quartet show up it picks up in quality and its finale is ok. It just got overly repetetive IMO and didn't focus upon the main characters as much in favour of the guest star of the week. more of a waste of potential if anything and probly makes Stars look even bttr by its flwng on straight afterwards

Despite that Seiya is originally a female, many of us fans see him as a male most of the time when he is in civilian form. Even Seiya himself says he maybe fallen for Usagi because he carries a ''heart of a boy''. I understand that Seiya is female, but between Seiya and Starfighter their personailities are different.
My understanding is the StarLights are originally female, but in civilian form took on the appearance of men as a disguise while finding their Princess.

Mamoru teaches Usagi the wonders of being calm and the importance of school studies and responsibilty. Usagi teaches Mamoru how to open up and be himself and how to love and be loved. Mamoru's more calm, collected persona balances out Usagi's silly, loud persona. Usagi and Seiya it's just not meant to be and it would be throwing an entire series away and give a huge "Fuck you!" to the creator.

@elinaeverbloom Also, I never thought Mamoru was boring, cold or unromantic. My first contact with “Sailor Moon” and Mamoru was with a dub (not the dreadful American one, mind you). That dub is quite faithful to the original, except for a few names changed. The script remains the same many times or very close to the original. Voice acting is the key.

He tries to sound charming and romantic to the point he sounds melodramatic a few times. Some minor changes in the script, like calling Usagi “my darling” or Chibi-Usa “princess” makes him sound gentler.

His pervy talk ("oooohh little pudding!") makes him funny as heck and I dare you to watch 5 seconds of a Stars episode featuring Yaten's hilarious tranny voice without laughing. Plus, their songs are very, very good and in japanese, so you get the real and amazing vocals.

Naoko Takeuchi (aka The Word of God, Sailor Moon's creator) would sue Toei's fat ass if Usagi ended up with anyone else but Mamoru or vice-versa. The woman owns Sailor Moon and she's crazy about Usagi x Mamoru and guess what? Mamoru is her favorite character and ideal of a man and Usagi is inspired by her own personality.

In episode 195, shes on her way to seiya's final concert and michiru and haruka get mad because they told her not to see him anymore because she has mamoru and then usagi said" well, i love other peole too.!" right there she admitted it. and she certainly didnt mind when seiya kissed her on the cheek. u can tell she has feelings for him by the way she acts.

5. Mamoru does not hate Seiya. - I have no idea where people even get this from. They only meet one time in episode 200, and both are very civil. Seiya tells Mamoru to take good care of Usagi, and he also tells Usagi that he’s glad she got her boyfriend back. Mamoru never seems angry or jealous of Seiya. If anything, I would be led to believe that Mamoru is grateful to Seiya for protecting Sailormoon when he couldn’t be there.

Would Romeo and Juliet have half the impact it has if Romeo and Juliet didn't take their lives at the end? I can guarantee you no. Seiya's one-sided love for Usagi adds meat and drama to the story, but that doesn't mean that that's how it's supposed to end.

Seiya herself says it and has a song all about that unrequited love written by Takeuchi herself. The story is what it is. Even the musicals had a song in which Usagi sings about her love for Mamoru and Seiya sings for Usagi but she ignores him and keeps singing for Mamoru. Usagi didn't love Seiya back and that's the beauty of it.

@elinaeverbloom Oh come on, like she had any choice in the plot, she was pretty much superglued into having to marry Mamoru whether she fell in love with another or not. If she didn't she'd be killing a daughter she'd already gotten attached to.
And believe it or not, couples do reach a point where they can't teach each other anything.
So she's pretty much screwed... no falling in love with anyone else!

I know what it's like to watch a series or movie or read a book and really wanting something to happen but it never does. It's not in our hands to decide. The creator writes the story and the result is what we got. There's always someone who's not 100% happy with the storyline but the creator can't please everyone.

The manga story of Sailor Moon ended with an epilogue, that showes the 20 years old Usagi marrie Mamoru.
Can I tell you what will logically happen afterwords?
Mamoru starts a serious carrier, as well as the former Sailor Scouts, so Usagi will feel more and more casted out. Mamoru treets her like an irresponsible baby. He's gentle and kind, but distant in behavour. Usagi slowly realizes her own uselessness in real life, which makes her depressed and arrogant.
Then Seiya could return.

@belin93 Stars is mine ovrall cos its filler eps were ALWAYS excelent as opposed to prev seasons where there were some gud ones some bad ones. its opening 6 eps and closing 6 eps were just kick ass (0 term I don't use lightly with SM). its finale was the best too. SM + R wud b my follow ups cos SM started it all and had the best story arc but R is real nostalgic

@belin93 I didin't get angry with SuperS, I just got tired with it. It was the worst season, but that isn't too say its half as bad as ppl make it out 2 b. once the Amazoness Quartet show up it picks up in quality and its finale is ok. It just got overly repetetive IMO and didn't focus upon the main characters as much in favour of the guest star of the week. more of a waste of potential if anything and probly makes Stars look even bttr by its flwng on straight afterwards

Despite that Seiya is originally a female, many of us fans see him as a male most of the time when he is in civilian form. Even Seiya himself says he maybe fallen for Usagi because he carries a ''heart of a boy''. I understand that Seiya is female, but between Seiya and Starfighter their personailities are different.
