  • Look up Terminal Lance "bitch-and-moan"

This is all I have to say on this matter haha

  • There's a better security job than embassy security, it's called defending top secret nuclear bomb sites and or subs, but above all the best position for a security force Marines is being the presidents door man!

  • i hope to be an embassy guard after basic training(: also, do you know what kind of holster they use?

  • I can't believe some of the comments on here. This is a tour of duty to be proud of and it is strictly VOLUNTARY. One should know what they are getting into after going through the screening process and be willing to make the sacrifice that comes with the hardship post. Some are boring, some are dangerous, some are a LOT of fun. I was in the program 30 years ago and met some of the best Marines I know to this day. If you want to see the world as a Marine, this is the way to do it. SemperFi!!!

  • @ShenandoahSidelines Well you better believe them. No one knows what they are getting into until they are actually on the program and then they regret it. It's reality and the program has changed since your time 30 years ago.

  • MSG is different from Marine Corps Security Forces. These are Marine Security Guards.

  • @Ihateopp i just finished a stint in pakistan. it was fucking disgusting over there. it's not all rosy it has more bad aspect than good. it's pretty tough to get a london assignment or anything in that nature, most likely, there going to send u to some place you haven't even heard of before, and that place is not going to be all sweet and dandy. i had a buddy who went to some place in africa and almost got killed, so be careful for what you wish for!!

  • Ok first i wanted Infantry, but i learned they must sign 2 yrs. of infantry, and well this MOS fits me, i'm signing in 3 yrs. And will get to do both security and Infantry thats like two MOS's lol, wish me luck when i sign!

  • @MarineBrandon123 This is MSG not Security Forces. MSG is Marine Security Guard.

  • MCSF all the way, leave for boot 20121106

  • my bro is security forces and stationed in cuba for 2 months then he goes to spain

  • security forces

  • Yeah, the program can suck if you dont have good Det Commander or cool A/ (like me) My 3 det had a great time (except for that one time, 3 days before ball and we forgot to make programs. that was fun. 3 days straight no sleep using up ever ink cartridge in the embassy) Mission was accomplished though (one hour before we step off to go to the Marriot and set up)

  • Of course MSG sounds badass if you play music like that. 10 more months, I can't wait to get out!

  • @Leanna2988

do you leave in June? and I take it your a female so you'll be going to Paris Island???

  • @AndrewTheKewlDude lol she's talking about getting off the MSG program.

  • @AndrewTheKewlDude I've been in the Marine Corps for almost 5 years now. I'm a 3rd poster. I'm talking about getting out of the MSG program. Bunghole lol

  • 1:28 - 1:30 I know that guy!

  • Can officers do this?

  • Of course they don't want to put down countries that no one has heard of or Marines who had horrible posts like Ouagadougou, Angola, Nouakchott, or Tanzania

  • how often does a embassy actually get full on attacked with mobs of people using AK47's. never. you only see that in james bond movies.

  • @randeDANDE What are you talking about? I had it happen at least once to twice a week, and it took like two seconds to deal with.

... Oh, wait. I thought you were talking about people not wearing badges. Sorry. Yeah, like maybe 3 out of the hundreds of embassies we have will get attacked in this way once every two years and for the most part the MSG's will be forced to pull back to a safer area, unless it sht really goes down.

  • @flippyot what do you mean twice a week? like one insane person comes in shouting and screaming about something or a guy with a gun walks in

  • @randeDANDE I was being sarcastic. The most I ever dealt with on the program were riots and protests, a few intruders, but they were asylum seekers. Never once did I feel like my life was at threat. I didn't drink their kool-aid, well, not all of it.

  • @flippyot so do you regret it

  • @randeDANDE Nah. It gave me great insight into how the American 'machine' works. I got to guard Pres Bush (hairy ears) twice, Connie (slob) four times, and Hilary (stresses the seams on her suits) once. Not only that, but the Marines I met on the program are some of the few people I still keep in touch with out of the Corps.

Great experience, but over-hyped. You'll go through more pens or logbooks than you will rounds.

  • @flippyot are there procedures they teach you to single out spies that come in? or do they zipline onto the roof break into the air duct. avoid all guards with thermal goggles. sneak into the ambassadors room. steal top secret files. how often would that happen

  • Omaaan <3

  • Fuck if i didnt think getting out in cuba was a possibilty

  • are these MP's?

  • @Chingsta56 No.

  • How can you get into this program?

  • Very happy i pick this as a MOS

  • Wait a second, they left out how while your in those awesome countries you mainly stand in a box and stair at door. Not to mention all those diplomats who bitch to your detcmdr cause you didnt open the door fast enough. how about the curfew and the paperwork you fill out on any girl that sees your penis!

  • Was an MSG from Dec 2002 to Sep 06 in Jerusalem, Ankara, and I opened the Detachment in Kabul in August of 2004. Just like my primary MOS of 0331 MachineGunner with 1/4 and 2/1, every job has those portions which wouldnt make it into a commercial cause they suck. But they also dont post the crazy parties I attended, dancing on the Ambassadors table at the Marine Corps Ball, or the women overseas that enjoyed the MSGs. Its a good video and the best duty in the Corps.

  • i cant wait to get off post so i can drink

  • @33snic best comment I've ever seen.

  • @33snic I'm on eves right now. 4 more hours till I'm getting hammered.

  • All bullshit.

  • Love this video because my son is in it Belgrade Serbia Woohoo U rock MARINE

  • @mymarinesmom66 Aww! Is he fromDalton, GA?

  • I would do anything for my country, If I could go back in time and didn't join the National Guard i would have joined the Marines. Hooraah, and Oorah!

  • Almost everyone in this video hasn't even been assigned to an embassy yet, they're all school grads. They don't know about being at 1/2 with no relief all day, going to guard school after mids along with PT and language training, unfucking someone elses collat for an SAI a week after you get to post, running 4 hour drills that are utterly impossible to ever happen, a DetCmdr who doesn't show up to work until 1300 (sometimes) with region calling every morning. Sign me up.

  • @tacticaloperator12 whats mids?

  • @tacticaloperator12 and u dont know if they have been to an embassy yet or not

  • @TheMarineKid17 No they haven't (when they made this commercial they were in Quantico) I've served with 3 of these people and they were all new.

  • @tacticaloperator12 Yea you're wrong there. I went to MSG school with some of these guys back with 5-08. Plus, some are wearing the MSG ribbon.

  • The few, The proud, The Marines!

  • Class 2-99 here,

Im an O311...... I loved being a group Pounder in 29Palms exp in Oki on a pump was Outstanding, But when I became an MSG little did I know it would change my life even more then the Marie Corps has done to that point. Lookin at this Video brings back alot of the memeries of what it means to be a MSG

    Semper Fi

  • @EmbassyRob damn i was told 03s cant be MSG...im stuck between signing for 03 or MP?

  • @TheMarineKid17 03s can be MSGs. There's quite a few on the program.

  • @xFaLcOnS2b22x sweet thanks

  • Good recruiting video... After 4 years 4 months on the program you miss it after seeing this video...

  • @overcmarinedar1 Care to step back in the box for mids and follow that up with PT, Guard School, a drill, another mids and running the firing range the next morning? Yeah... Of course, if you never hit Region 8 I can understand why you may have good memories.

  • @ChibiDarksai which CO are you talking about???

  • wonder what its like being a marine guard in Canada

  • Anyone notice at 2:28 while using sim rounds the point man stopped in the doorway to fire rounds bottling his stack?

  • @nickm16a2 hahahahaha. Dude. How about you do some more research or join the Corps. You know nothing.

  • @nickm16a2 When every any Marines at my Rss are in MARPAT their MARPAT cover comes off indoors

  • @jonnytusmc Clear this up, if you are wearing a duty belt, you can and should wear your cover even while indoors. Which gos for when a weapon is holstered to that duty belt.

  • @nickm16a2 I knew that, i thought he meant the guy with the BDUs.

  • @nickm16a2 Of course he's allowed to wear the dress cover. He was wearing the uniform of the day.

  • @nickm16a2 He's on duty so I think with the BDU its allowed

  • @nickm16a2 They are carrying a weapon still.

  • @nickm16a2 Keep in mind, you're under arms. So that requires a cover. Nice try, boot.

  • It all depends on your detachment commander. If he's a douche your time at the post will suck; on the other hand you can be the shittiest shit hole on earth and have a blast because the detachment commander is good to go.

  • Yeah, this doesn't depict what MSG's do. How about showing the Marines at Guard School after Mids and a drill? Or the two Marines that arrange everything for the Ball and get little to no recognition? My favorite is working under T/O ( stacked 1/3 at a 1/7) where the Det Cmdr refuses to stand duty because he doesn't like the box. Not to mention the over scare of OpSec (@ you warzbent! @ you!).

  • @flippyot hahaha, this sounds familiar

  • @flippyot Yes!!! Everything that you said is so effin true about the program. They glamorize all the "good" things and never show the nitty gritty of the true things thats done.

  • @flippyot you can't even wear the ribbon until after your 3rd post now...

  • @stlvi3tsoldi3r That's stupid. That's almost like saying you can wear your ICM/ACM 2 years after you earn it. I earned it, I met the criteria, it's on MOL so I'm going to wear it.

  • @xFaLcOnS2b22x Well lucky you.. Group started the whole "after 3rd post" thing 1-11.. i know because i got jewed by a couple of months! On my 3rd post now.....

  • Hey Joining the Marines in 5 weeks looking to work my way into the position after getting in, anyone with this MOS please message me on here would love to talk and get as much information as possible.

  • This was the best video shoot I've ever been on! I had such an amazing experience filming the Marines on the MSG program. I would love to do it all over again!

  • My baby was an MSG and I am so proud of her

  • All the best for the MSGD Belgrade of 2008!!! You guys are the best!

  • Gunny Johnson, you're my hero!!!

  • Wow! I Love this! Now i have a better picture of what a Marine Security Guard does :)

  • i'd like to find the one filmed in 2000.... b/c i'm in it! I remember seeing it several years back but I don't remember where!

  • London and Shanghai!

  • im proud of my marine!

  • love this video this is what i wanna do

  • Very motivating - great job to the recruiting command and MCESG putting this video together.

    Jim Miller

MSG: Rome 2005, Kosovo 2006, MCESG recruiter 2007

  • My Son is in this Video I,m so proud of him.

  • Oorah!!!!

  • Won't lie. It gives me a little extra boost of motivation watching this. It skips out on some stuff but it does encompass the major points.
