  • peace ;)

  • submitting to god is not the same as submitting to religion!

  • You right I have been told this many times at the end of a failed argument. Pascals Wager fails miserably, atheists don't buy into this crap. First they have to prove without a doubt that in fact hell exists, which has never happened. If hell is real, where the Hell is it then?

  • In the end we all shall know? is God a hoax or is he the truth. Or pehaps dead

people are,nt able to know anything? accept a dark and empty vacuum. If you

dont need God then your free to be your own god.But if you do need God then

you must Obey! or be sent to hell for not doing so. Amen.

  • @globehunter2 And that means that you need to declare a truth that is true for the poor bum on the street as well as the king. For the one who is locked up for his faith in soletary isolation for 20 years in communist russia as well as one living the life of a movie star in hollywood. The biblical truth is that god is love. Meaning he is stronger then your weakness and jesus died for your sins. And god looks at the heart. He does not look as humans do to accomplishment and such.

  • @chriss179 I'm greatful to God for sacrificing himself to himself to get himself to forgive humanity of the sins that he cursed us with (which he is unwilling or unable to cure, which furthermore is impossible because then he wouldn't be God - See the contradiction?)

If you, or anyone, truly listened and comprehended what Pat said in this video, you wouldn't be theist, and most certainly not Christian - but you can't do that, because you've made a virtue out of narrow-mindedness and ignorance.

  • I thought this video was from a creationists point of view until I saw the positive ratings :P

  • This guy has such a twisted, distorted version of religion. I think he was sexually abused by a priest. You take the most negative aspects blow them full out of proportion and try to make religion about repression rather than freedom, truly bizarre. Anyhow when you come close to death, whether you like it or not, whether there is Jaws music or not you WILL experience fear and, yes, you will see there is an after life and feel utterly stupid. I just hope those listening to you won't be so.

  • @PabloPena108 ermm religion is about repression and creating fear in order to get obedience in return. What does religion have to do with freedom? Apart from trying to eliminate it.

  • @kgarvey68 I think that stealing is slavery. That drug abuse is slavery. Alcohol is slavery. That crime is slavery. Slavery to jealousy, hatred, drinking and all kinds of uncleansiness. Christianity is there to get people out of that prison of evil and bring them back to a life of self respect and love. Of respect for others. Respect and love for life itself. Now you don't think that is freedom, but prostitution is??? Then you are the shining example of why atheism is so popular today

  • @chriss179 I'm sorry but if you truly believe what you say then you are too far deluded to possibly be brought back into reality.

  • @PabloPena108 I feel so sorry for you...

  • @PabloPena108 Please, just get off this video. You don't belong here ahaha

  • @destinystruth Well I guess you really want me here since you know saying that will only make me stay longer! But I absolve you of your ignorance. Go and repent.

  • Waugh (a Catholic convert, of course) tried to sell us this in Brideshead Revisited. Who remembers a then aged Olivier (Lord Marchmain) make the sign of the cross as his final, desperate act of submission? I think a lot of people probably DO turn to God on their deathbeds: but make no mistake, it IS just fear - for what can be more frightening than the great unknown.

  • A religion is sometimes a source of happiness, and I would not deprive anyone of happiness. But it is a comfort appropriate for the weak, not for the strong. The great trouble with religion, any religion, is that a religionist, having accepted certain propositions by faith, cannot thereafter judge those propositions by evidence. One may bask at the warm fire of faith or choose to live in the bleak certainty of reason, but one cannot have both.

  • @plaizure Anyways, to recapitulate. I really don't see what we lose... This is some covered up try at a call to repentance. But really god is central to the human heart like a father and a mother, a wife or a brother, sister or friend goes central to the human heart. Gives strength and will to do good. Is good for knowledge and correction. I don't see how loving my father and having faith in him is damaging my "reasoning"... I don't need a father to study how electrons travel silicon.

  • Spam spam spam spam and more spam from Chriss, That's religion for ya!

  • I am a Furian. Your Gods bow before me and my kin long before we will ever submit our spirits to servitude

  • Comment removed

  • Very nice. I wish Pat would do more videos like this instead of all the anti-islam bullshit he does these days.

  • The premise of Pascal's wager is invalid. There are more than one religion, many, if not all of them, are mutually exclusive.

  • Ultimate stupidity...go hang yourself

  • @Targoos says someone who belives in a imaginary friend

  • @Targoos thats very chistian of you. you are a shining example of what people should see christians as. good people who turned into monstrous fools.

  • I am an Eastern Orthodox Christian and it seems you atheists and Western Christians seemed to have forgotten we exist. Our view of God is completely different from yours so all of your claims are silly on both sides to us Eastern Christians. I've read The God Delusion, and that book only addresses the Western Christian view of God. The Eastern Christian God is much different from the Western to the point where you can't even say we worship the same God. We tend to use apophatic theology.

  • I hate it when fundamentalist Western Christians proselytize to atheists, and then when atheists proselytize to Christians. And what is with the Western Christians who tell atheists that if they weren't atheists, they wouldn't go to Hell. Do these Western Christians realize that atheists don't believe in Hell? And what is with the atheists all of a sudden being evangelicals going around trying to convert Christians to atheist. I find it so annoying when people shove their beliefs down my throat.

  • Great video!

I might point out that something you said which often forms part of Christian debate, and that is that you can't prove there is a God and that you have faith he doesn't exist.

It's not that I disagree with you, I also cannot disprove God, but I don't think this inability necessarily implies a leap of faith. It is only by claiming to understand and know the unprovable and unknowable that a leap of faith has been made, which is exactly what the theist does.

  • @Moofroze... (continued) he's super creative with his words and he sounds RIGHT! but he's not. And neither are you my friend. Lets just say for a minute that im wrong... when I die... so what, I lose nothing! Lets just say for a minute that ur wrong... when you die, you lose... what?! Now, thats not the reason to believe, but its sure as hell a reason to keep searching (lol)

  • @Moofroze.. after years of soul searching....? Why did you quit? Its a life time of searching. The reason your parents taught you about God is because they were taught, and there parents taught them and there parents taught them and so on and so on all the way to Christ. Look I understand that theres Logic behind there being no God. Theres people out the that can literally sell ice to an Alaskan. Great speakers! Just like this guy here in the video! This guy has incredible intellect (cont ^)

  • Wow... look at all these 'likes to dislikes' I would never had guessed it. Atheism is for sure on the rise. I just dont get it, why are you Atheists so MAD at Christians? If you dont believe you dont believe. So be it. Why the attack? Why the belittling? If I were an Atheist, then I surely wouldn't waste my time talking about God all the time and trying to convince people the he doesn't exist. If anything, the more you Atheist hate, the STRONGER my faith gets...

  • @brendon080909 Well many atheist were not born in atheist household and given the choice to pick a religion. Instead I like many was born in a christian household and told god was real at a young age. After years of soul searching I found that religion does not make sense and has no clear truth behind it. However the feeling of being lied too for years and constant arguments this has caused in my family has left a sour taste in my mouth for religion. That is my take on it of course.

  • @MOOFROZE My grammar is awful :)

  • The people who believe this garbage are the people who havent read the book. I dont know how it is around the world, but here in the US the sheep carry a bible and only open it to reference what the preacher is talking about. Yet they boast that this is divine truth from god. I was a Christian for 22 years then I wanted to see for myself. By time I finished Leviticus I was an atheist. If people really thought the bible was the word of god, they couldnt put it down. Yet they havent read it once.

  • ranting little squire .. put your head in bottle .. "you know what this guy is a ranting little 80 year who has had a bad life becuase of his SINS SINSINSINS LOL" NOW HES RANTING .. wat an dum ass!

  • man i wish this guy was my grandpa. it would be so awesome to have such a sharp guy related to me....i can just imagine all the awesome times me and grandpa could have destroying religion and opening up more peoples eyes with logic and reason....love you grandad...

  • I wonder why Athiest are trying to get rid of Religion is really does hurt me.

  • @Xandersreallyrandom What good does religion do completely on its own that makes up for all the evil it creates?

  • @Xandersreallyrandom because there are only 2.5% of the world that realise that god is a myth and we feel like we're the only sane people in a mental institution. How would you feel if your friends believed in unicorns?

  • You sir, have got yourself one more subscriber :)

  • What did Pascal die from, I wonder? The measles? the flu? He lived in the 15-1600s when medical science was so primitive it was almost non-existent, and thus people's life-expectancy was horribly low. That was something the "God" of those times couldn't do anything about, haha. We needed a later God aided by medical ,mostly atheist scientists to fix those problems, dying from the measles or common infections and similar:)

  • Brilliant. I loved what you said, and is exactly what it's all about. Respect, submission, through fear of the ultimatum.

  • I will never believe in a god one and I believe in our my ancestors and my friends that pass to form me. Heaven and hell is on this planet and his manners what path you wanna take. If you just have love and respect in your heart and you have nothing to fear because we all have to die sometime. god just seemed like a poker bluffing snob to me. If there was a real god we would not have wars.

  • Yeah Pascals wager... when you believe in God so you don't go to hell, don't forget to also believe in Allah, Buddha, Brahman, Zeus, Thor, Baal, Osiris, etc etc... any one of these deities could condemn your heathen ass to an eternity of hellfire.

  • @jq747 if you believe in one of them, there's at least a miniscule chance you might be saved and the christian god is the one that's supported by the most historical and scientific evidence by far

  • @Diosukekun

christianity is supported by no more evidence than any religion, its faith. fact

there are many gods far more likely that are logically possible

  • I can't understand this.

  • @RobertoLozanoB lol@you.

  • @RobertoLozanoB You can have it translated to spanish, just push that CC button and find it.: )

  • @patcondell well said... favourited...peace!

  • subscribed

  • Excellent video and I absolutely love how well you articulate your points. Pure poetry.

  • Pat Condel is a cold, cold, cold, soulest mother fucker. You can see him shapeshifting @ 0:58

  • You seem to be a little fanatic over your atheism :/ But you have good points here.

  • What's with the speculative religious spam on this video? One may turn one's head at the sight of a small pool of vomit. Increasing the pool size and calling it a lake does not change the nature of said vomit.

  • The burden of proof is on the claimant,.

  • @chriss179 That is not proof. God does not exist, and if he did...You would not know what he wants. Please just shut up

  • @itchygonads Oh you want proof god doesn't exist? Wait... you can't prove something DOESN'T exist... I could just as simply ask someone to prove that an invisible unicorn that holds up the moon doesn't exist. No way to prove it.

I've got it! Since you're sure god exists, why don't you prove he DOES exist? That's easier. I can prove this lemon exists, I can hold it in my hand.

Go ahead, we'll wait. Prove away...

What's that? You decline but still insist inviso-deity is real? How convenient!

  • @qxe You seem to have responded to the wrong person :P I was the top rated comment haha I am an atheist sir

  • @itchygonads oops, so sorry!

  • *sigh* this guy admits that he can't prove that god doesn't exist...yet he goes on

  • Pascals wager is bullshit, because there is not only one religion.

  • I wish to be a believer.

  • who's this pascal u talkin bout ya old fart?

  • @chickenfat97 read description

  • Sura 30:45 That He may reward out of His bounty those who believe and do good works. Lo! He loveth not the disbelievers (in His guidance).

    John 3:16

    New International Version (NIV)

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

The god of the christians loves everyone, he just does not love you more then he does himself. You are not more then god. That is demonic.

  • @chriss179 I'm sorry, but I have a problem understanding your entire argument. It drags on for a while and its tough to pick at as it is.

Can you maybe...make it brief? Like do a "Q" and we'll see if we can give an "A"?

  • @chriss179 "WHy is having faith wrong.. ANd why is not having faith the right thing to do?"

"Faith" is a synonym for "belief without evidence." It's much better to believe in things based on evidence. Believing in far-fetched things based on no evidence at all is moronic. That's what religious people do, they believe in things that are not based on evidence.
