Buran's problem was not cost effective. The ENERGIA rocket was expensive to produce and launch and it alone could launch all the cargo into Space Buran could carry making the Shuttle redundant. It was a nice solution in search of a problem.
The energia rocket is an original russian design, the shuttle may have been copied, but the rocket is very original. it can launch many types of payloads up to 100 tons into low earth orbit.
all the russians are good at is copying shit likee they just too damn crazy but the russian people are nice and i like speaking a bit russian dasvidania bitches
@1942tj Well, I doubt it.. Endeavour, America's last shuttle was well along in its construction when Buran lifted off on it's only mission. Endeavour differed only slightly from the previous shuttles, and not in any Buran derived way. Aside from their external appearances, the American and Soviet shuttles are two very different pieces of machinery.
I also don't think you were using the term "LOL!" right in this context.

stupid post..
Energija can fly without Buran..
The Shuttle stack can't fly without the orbiter.. or they need to do a lot of development..
Next thing is, Energija has liquid boosters, not solid ones..(Today the first stage of the Zenit-rockets)

Nice video, i like it :D
