  • Absolutley wonderful. Goopd clean comedy fun. unlike, todays. What have I been missing all these years. Thankyou so much for posting such, classic shows. Lucy was amazing. LOL .

  • You should definitely watch this before your first day at a new job, because you can be sure it won't be as bad as this!

  • This is The Lucy Show where Lucille Ball plays Lucy Carmichael

  • The official first season of The Lucy Show is going to come out on July 21st, 2009!

  • I CAN'T WAIT!!! it's very exciting that "The Lucy Show" will finally be released by CBS

  • This is a scene from The Lucy Show because her refers to her as Mrs Carmichael

  • I LOVE LUCILLE BALL !!!

  • so glad someone finally posted this! for some reason this episode is not on ANY of the lucy show dvds. i have wanted to see this episode for forever. i love lucille ball of course but i also love majel barrett of star trek. very nice to see her and lucy together. rip lucy AND majel...

  • The reason this is not on any of the Lucy Show DVDs (so far) is because there's never been an official release of this series. The episodes that are currently on DVD are only available because of an administrative screw-up years ago that caused them to fall into the public domain. But CBS/Paramount, which owns this series IS finally coming out with an official DVD release. On July 21, 2009, Season One of The Lucy Show will be released on DVD which, of course, will include this episode.

  • This episode originally aired on November 12, 1962, during the first season. Majel Barrett (as "Miss Massey") was acting under her real name, "Majel Lee {Leigh} Hudec", with her natural hair coloring. She first met Gene Roddenberry while working on an episode of his MGM series "THE LIEUTENANT" in 1964, and remembered her when the time came to cast "Number One" in the original "STAR TREK" pilot {"The Cage"}. He later "sneaked" her into the series ("Nurse Chapel") as blonde "Majel Barrett"...

  • Never mind about the comment about the comment asking about where this is from. I really should read the description first!

  • What show is this from? I know it isn't "I Love Lucy" because of her hairstyle. Is this from The Lucy Show"?

  • I wish this was available on DVD

  • I just love this scene and the episode it come from. Lucy

  • this is so funny...i thought i was going to die of laughter, i absolutely love it.

  • I most definitely, positively have to get all the seasons of The Lucy Show. She is so great, I love Lucy.

  • Boy!this is so hilarious, I can die laughing. Lucy is such a wonder. Thanks for posting.

  • Its kind of funny the guy who plays mr erwin is John Mcgiver the same guy who plays Mrbabcock in Lucille ball's version of Mame 1974

  • I love Lucy. too.....since 1975

  • This show is so great!!!

    thanks for posting!

  • Great clip! thanks for posting.

I wish the entire run of the Lucy Show was on TV. All I usually see though are the "lost episodes" and sometimes the shower episode.

  • "My the water's filling isn't it?"

Three beats of pause. John McG takes his pill.

    Too too funny,

  • Post whole episode please!

  • this is the funniest episode imho of the first season lucy show.

  • This episode is up there with the very best of I LOVE LUCY. It reminds me of the Bill Holden episode in the sense that it had two big payoff scenes in the same episode (normally there was just a single payoff at the end). In the Holden episode, the two payoffs were the Brown Derby scene & the putty nose scene. Here, it was the office scene & the restaurant scene. First time I saw this I nearly peed in my pants. It was early morning & I was trying my best not to wake my roommate with my laughter.

  • People often refer to that shower episode as their favorite of the 1st season of this show. I never understood that. There are at LEAST a dozen 1st season episodes I like better than the shower episode, and this is most certainly one of them. It could very well be my favorite as well. Either this or the antenna episode. Or the boat. Or the mattress/stilts episode. Or the trampoline. Or the "no more double dates" episode. Geesh! But probably this one because of it having two big comedy scenes.

  • I liked the first B&W season of Lucy, '62-'63...her voice was still fairly high, loose and young enough to "still sound like Lucy." ;)

  • Unfortunately, by projecting that artificially high "Lucy Ricardo" voice all those years, she was doing major damage to her vocal chords which, ironically, was one of the primary reasons her voice got so deep.

  • thank you so much for this clip.its great watching the lucy show in its early days.

  • That clip was great! I would love to see more, and I would love to see full episodes of The Lucy Show!
