  • I don't like at All the Wistle register i lime more Superhead voice, Well done!!!

  • @ivennein thankyou! I practiced very hard for this video!

  • actually no, but i hear that alot lol. but i do love that movie, and i guess subconsciously it has inspired me

  • ahh the first sequence from this clip is from the diva in the fifth element!!!!

  • check out brett manning's whistle voice FAQ vid here on youtube, he is a renound instructor and gives some great tips on finding your whistle voice :) Thanks 4 stopping by, if u have any ?'s feel free to ask.

  • no woman can hit even C1. The lowest was G1, I think (not counting women who used steriods or smth ) . The lowest was Bb -2, by a man. Yet there is one man Nicola Sedda who can whistle within 6 notes of georgia brown. Even adam lopez is only 2 octaves away.Going by extremes, men have a larger range.

  • just have to say,..ur username is awesome!

  • urs too!

  • Oh! looks like comments here are worth reading.

  • Can you please kindly give advice on how to produce whistle, or at least how to excersie the voice to aim to produce so? Thank you so much.

  • omg shortest comment here lol

  • lol...for real! thanks for stopping by.

  • I'm not into the whistle register very much, I know people that can actually "whistle" like a bird and sounds beautiful, but gets boring. Anyways, the whole thing sounded pretty, but far from impressive. Men actually hitting B5's, C6's and D6's, E6's and even F6's!! Now that's inpressive!! Check Milijenko Matijevic (higest note B5), Jon Becker (highest note E6), and You Tube user Unflexable grace (highest note F6!!!!! Holy shit!!) And none of them is using falsetto. It's a mix/head voice.

  • men singing that high really isn't all that impressive to me, men have naturally longer vocal cords which allows them to have a greater overall range for producing pitches. I know men who can't sing a note to save their life, who can touch the whistle register. For women it takes a lot more practice because we have to work with the shorther length of our vocal cords to expand them over time.

  • If all women could hit whistle naturally, Mariah and Minnie would not be the sensations they are. I can use both head voice and whistle to produce 6th octave pitches because of years of practice, not a natural predispostion. I am a contralto actually!

  • actually, men have much smaller vocal ranges than women. The average trained male voice will have a little over 2 octaves while the average trained female voice will have anywhere from just under 3 octaves to over 3 1/2. Women have thinner vocal chords which means they can stretch longer and also have 3 registers (chest, middle, head) while men have only 2 (chest, head). Men can use falsetto but that really doesn't count as the ranges I've mentioned are modal voice vocalizing ranges.

  • The AVERAGE vocal ranges of each voice type according to Singing for the Stars by Seth Riggs are as follows-

    Soprano:G3-F6

    Mezzo:G3-Eb6

    Contralto:C3-C6

    Tenor:C3-E6

    Baritone:G2-B4

    Bass:E2-G4

*most coloraturas have up to an A6 and a few basses as low as C1.

*Seth Riggs is founder of the Speech Level Singing technique and I recommend all his books. my teacher is an opera singer (who sung lead roles) and uses this technique so it's legit. just make sure u find a teacher familiar with the technique.

  • Seth is crazy. Tenor E6?

Vocal range doesn't count falsettos. And it's impossible for a man to reach E6 without falsetto.

  • I'm sorry, I meant E5 (the E a major 3rd above tenor C)

  • I can go to A5 without falsetto. I use properly adducted, cord closure. The cords are closed not open like falsetto. I can sing E5 all day and not use falsetto.

  • you might be a tenor leggiero. they can hit notes well above high C

  • my lowest note is A1. My total range is A1 to B6/C6.

  • Not exactly true - some male singers can hit E6 in whistle and some do it in a very tightly, adducted head voice.

    But it is rare nonetheless

  • yes with whsitle. but thats totally different thing altogether lol!

  • If you are only counting chest and head voice than yes, you are correct but if you count every facet of the human voice, males will usually have a wider ranger than females because they can sing more deeply than us due to the way thier vocal cords are shaped.

  • Whistle can be produced in more than one way and doesn't really require a natural predisposition...(such as being female) rather just someone who knows how to access and utilize it properly. Hopefully this makes more sense I to why I said what i did eairler. I am counting whistle register has an overall part of a persons range, and since most women cannot go below C3 very eaisly it would be hard to keep up with someone who can do that + use whistle.

  • I was counting quality singable(if that's a word) ranges. that's probably why you're not as impressed when men hit those notes. It's not a speech level production so it sounds unatural.

PS: I ment to say some basses can hit C2 (I accidentally typed C1)

  • You know what is really impresive guys? search for Georgina Brown on Youtube and youll see some amazing whistle register. And by the way i agree that males can have a wider range.

  • I meant Georgia Brown not Georgina srry.

  • goodd

  • thanks

  • nice control!! wow!

  • thanks :)

  • Now THIS is well developed! Good work---we'll see you at the top! I think you've inspired me to post a whistle vid one of these days too! ( I've been too busy doing the low note thing lately. :)

BEST OF LUCK. Great sound and pretty, too.

  • Why thankyou! Go for it! Start with working on your head voice first and then progress into to whistle. This vid shows me doing that and I know having a strong head voice really helped me develop my whistle voice better so I reco9mmend it to everyone who wants to try this. Have fun :)

  • amazing

    take care your self..

    :)

  • thanks..you too :)

  • Very Neat. Check out my whistle vid and tell me what you think.

  • thanx..sure :)

  • Hey, if there´s a nick i´d never think you deserve is "yousuck" but anyway...

    lol

Girl, you go! Though my whistles are not as steady and clear like yours, i do feel squeeky over G#6. I reccomend Ap Tuner 3.08 since you´ve mentioned it.

It´s a pleasure to exchange tips with you, cause i´ve learned with your video tonight.

    Keep it up!

  • thanks friend..and thanks for the sub, means a lot. :)

  • The part from 0:000 to 0:006. . .were you trying to sing the Diva Dance from The Fifth Element? At the very least it reminded me of it.

  • nah, but I've thought about trying it though..maybe I should. lol :)

  • how do you hit those high notes? can anyone learn?

  • pratice, pratice! I had to practice for like two years to be able to do that. If u email me I can maybe expand on that 4 u.

  • omg, can you please email to me sayin ghow you do these high notes!! i have a range on just under 4 octaves but would love to expand my range! (i do have professional voice lessons) but hey, any help is great!

And, i think you have an amazing range of voice!!!

  • I will do that

  • Can you do that for me two? *puppy dog eyes* I wanna learn!

  • sure :)

  • Very Goood!!!

  • Why thankyou!Your kind words are appreciated!

  • E6 was your highest in this vid

  • nope, it was f6 (brief but there)...I have a chromatic tuner with a mic plug...and for this it always reads f6, but thanks for commenting :)

  • Oh by the way, I saw your vids..nice stuff...whistle is always endless entertainment. ;)

  • veryy nice . loved it

  • Well your whistle register is simply beautiful, it's not forced like most people (including myself) and it's just pure and natural!

    Great job!

  • Thankyou so much friend!

  • .. doesn't the whistle register begin from Si 4 (Europe) ?

  • It can begin wherever a person wants to start it, but wikipedia says E6 or E4(european notation). My highest here is F#6 (F#4)

  • coooooool! excelente!

  • I think my highest here was like f#6,but my tuner is not always accurate. I can go higher, but it sounds squeaky after G6,G#6. Anyone out there have any advice on fixing that? Tell me please, I am open to comments!
