you know, i decided to check out some videos of kris allen because i really enjoy adam lambert and was only watching videos of him; i thought i was developing an unfair bias, so to even things out, i thought i should give him a chance.
and i stand by my preference. kris is CONSTANTLY just a hair under the pitch and is always struggling to hit the notes he wants to hit. there is too much tension in his voice for it to be aesthetically pleasing to the trained ear.
i disagree. his chesty belting makes him just slightly under the pitch fairly often.
And the general american public really just doesn't have that great of ears or they wouldn't listen to a lot of the music they listen to--there are major intonation issues all around us in the music coming out lately. so the judges do let them through because they are producers and they know what america cares and doesn't care about. and one of those things they don't care about all that much is pitch.
there is two who after my opinion is better than both Elvis and MJ, both is british. Freddie Mercury and Paul McCartney. Freddie is a lot better vocal and Paul has written a lot more hit songs than no others.
Kris Allen does a very good job singing this and of course he's not better than the kind of pop.
If Michael Jackson competed in American idol he'd beat every single American idol. Kelly Clarkson, Kris Allen, Jordin Sparks you name it MJ is better than all of them. He inspired all of them he even inspired the great Mariah Carey one of the greatest selling female artist.

Adam and Kris are both great singers, but totally different styles. They don't need to be compared, and the only reason they are is because they were on American Idol together.

he doesn't know real technique to do the things he wants to do. of course in his recordings, he sounds fine, but that's because in the studio, you can do as many takes of a track as you want, and on top of that, there is post-production.
summary: kris allen is not as good as the voters made him out to be. i am still of the opinion that adam lambert lost only because he was gay and the majority of the people watching the show are bigots who can't separate sin from person.

you know, i decided to check out some videos of kris allen because i really enjoy adam lambert and was only watching videos of him; i thought i was developing an unfair bias, so to even things out, i thought i should give him a chance.
and i stand by my preference. kris is CONSTANTLY just a hair under the pitch and is always struggling to hit the notes he wants to hit. there is too much tension in his voice for it to be aesthetically pleasing to the trained ear.

i disagree. his chesty belting makes him just slightly under the pitch fairly often.
And the general american public really just doesn't have that great of ears or they wouldn't listen to a lot of the music they listen to--there are major intonation issues all around us in the music coming out lately. so the judges do let them through because they are producers and they know what america cares and doesn't care about. and one of those things they don't care about all that much is pitch.

there is two who after my opinion is better than both Elvis and MJ, both is british. Freddie Mercury and Paul McCartney. Freddie is a lot better vocal and Paul has written a lot more hit songs than no others.

Kris Allen does a very good job singing this and of course he's not better than the kind of pop.
If Michael Jackson competed in American idol he'd beat every single American idol. Kelly Clarkson, Kris Allen, Jordin Sparks you name it MJ is better than all of them. He inspired all of them he even inspired the great Mariah Carey one of the greatest selling female artist.
The only other person that can compete with MJ is the other king Elvis.

First of all, it wasn't MJ week. He sang Remember the Time for MJ week. This isn't MJ's most famous song, either. Thriller is. He attempted this song, and he did ok on it. If your comparing him to MJ then your practically saying MJ can even be comparable, which is not true either. No matter who you are and no matter what Michael Jackson song you cover, your not going to reach his level, and everyone knows that. He took on this song cause of the meaning. Wouldn't a man like MJ be proud of that?
