  • Scott's voice is the ONLY tenor voice that I have ever loved. All of the world-famous tenors, in whatever numerical group they appear, generally leave me cold. These guys were part of my life, from early in high school on. In fact, I used to sing Black Girl with my friend Cappy, and also with Bill, at various coffee houses and questionable venues in New Orleans in the sixties. Oh, what a time we had!

  • Oh My God what a beautiful song. What a beautiful band!!!! I never even knew this band existed at one time.

  • @hippyable hey hippy-- try the chad mitchell trio--i think you'd like 'em.

  • @moonbeamchaos may I will try and see what they are like. thanks.

  • I saw them do this live at the Padded Cell, a Minneapolis pizza joint with live music. They even recorded a live album there. Hate to admit it, but it was 1962, which makes me really old....

  • What a truly beautiful and haunting song! Great harmony and Scott McKenzie had a great tenor voice. Great to see these old Journeymen videos with John Phillips.

  • what the FUCK
