  • @9:03.....it's Jean Larose on the camera ....Rosie from the movie Strange Brew!!!

  • the one person who dislikes this is Dick Cavett

  • People who didn't watch WKBW didn't really understand SCTV. :"I don't like you, Cavett."

  • oh, please tell us

  • Rick as Dick Cavett - soooo funny, i recall having to watch all the documentaries in highschool featuring Dick Cavett... and can't help but laugh.

  • Andrea Martin is brilliant. Her face on the second attempt "boil" is great.

  • how wonderfully inane

  • "Funding for this program was supplied by a chubb from the Grant corperation" - LOL!

  • I can remember meeting Eugene Levy a few times when I was about 10 years old. His Dad and my Dad worked together in Hamilton Ontario at an automotive parts plant called Hayes Dana. Eugene had a summer job there. A lot of these guys came from Hamilton. John Candy, Martin Short.

Love these old SCTV bits. Bittman was hilarious.

  • @SilverstoneZED Did you actually meet Eugene Levy - you lucky duck!! He's my personal favorite of the cast members: huge range of characters, and spanned every conceivable human foible. Incredible talent. Again: you lucky duck!!!!

  • @chalomirof63 Yeah, a few times. but I think I was like 10, and he was not even famous then. I believe he was in college or university at the time and worked at the same place as his dad and my dad for a summer job. Dads were co-workers and we went out for family dinners ever now and then with him and his family. Thought it was kind of odd how many famous Canadian actors came from Hamilton Ontario. Basically the Detroit of Canada.

  • @SilverstoneZED Thanks for the story - very cool: 'you knew him back when!' LOL. Cheers.

  • @chalomirof63 No problem :-) I can remember watching a lot of these SCTV bits with an older brother when they first aired, but I think I was a little young to get some of the humour. Love watching them now. Thanks for posting! :-) I thought this was the funniest era of the show.

  • @SilverstoneZED Sorry, but isn't Windsor the Detroit of Canada?

  • @SilverstoneZED WOW! Lucky you. These guys are the best.

  • "How wonderfully inane."

  • In the Ed Grimley cartoon, a kid asked Count Floyd: "Why does a man dressed as a vampire, howl like a werewolf?" A good question.

  • Count Floyd's making my dogs bark.

  • Good news for Canadian viewers, SCTV is coming to the Comedy network this fall!!!!

  • @juantrippe82 I heard this from another Canadian. Is this just for Canadian viewers, or is it also in the States?

  • @chalomirof63 Just for Canadian viewers I'm afraid. Maybe you could watch it on the Comedy network website.

  • @juantrippe82 Thanks for the info Justin, even though it isn't good news - LOL. F.

  • From beginning to end, so brilliant, on so many levels...

  • I love Andrea Martin barely being able to control herself at the end of this scene..LOL

  • this is eerily reminiscent of a 1970's cavett show devoted entirely to interviewing Jerry Lewis. The questions were similar and in some cases got the same response and look of contempt from Lewis to Cavett. Ironically, One of Lewis' last films was called Funny Bones and dealt with him playing the famous comedic father to a son desperate to please his father in carrying on in his footsteps.

  • Do you remember the Count Floyd episode where Martin Short played the creepy kid from Deliverance and Lola cried, "He scared me!" It's been a long time since I've seen it. I think it was a Halloween Special.

  • @ar4216 I tried sending it to you, but you're blocked. So, look up "Count Floyd: Have Yourself a Scary Little Christmas".

  • @chalomirof63

    Bless you!

  • @ar4216 I tried and tried, and could KILL you as didn't know you were blocked!! LOL.

  • @chalomirof63

Sorry, but thank you so much for the heads up. I absolutely love that look on Martin Short's face as Lucille Ball as crying. And those kids with the hair sticking up. HAHA!

  • "I want his name!" LMAO

  • logos galore!!!

  • 5:05 is scandalously funny!

  • Chalomiro, you are my new hero, man. Thanks for sharing these classic bits—my laughter is my gratitude!

  • It's comments like that that make it worthwhile! Thanks much Sam. (BTW, one of my Oldy favorites is "Mohair Sam" by Charlie Rich!) Cheers.

  • Nothing that Rick Moranis ever did after SCTV came close to revealing the genius he showed on that show!

  • @izzonj thats because SCTV was the perfect canvas.

  • @izzonj couldn't agree more....he was genius on sctv...

  • thanks again chalomiro, you are a saint for posting these.

  • "HOW ARE YA?"
