I was given Cipro for what the ER said was Diverticulitis , quit at 6 pills but had already gone through massive emotional pain, mood swings, pleading to god, massive inflammation in my colon and developed a spasm which never stops in my pelvic floor area from all the antibiotic toxicity in my body - I was unable to go to the bathroom and release these toxins for a week. When I hobbled into the doc all he told me was to keep taking the Cipro. All I was was constipated, and they gave me poison
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU, I suffered this 8 months, tinnitus, eye floaters, cant stay asleep more than 3 hours, tingling, numbness, itching, I thought I was going crazy, doctor told me 'it's stress', all the tests came back clear. I have tirelessly researched every disease under the sun. Finally, I remembered, I took these drugs for a simple UTI just 2 months before symptoms. Now I find out there is a latent period. I swapped 1 week of discomfort for 8 months of hell, maybe years. WHY?
I am a victim as well, has taken so much of my life and living with severe pain. I consider Levaquin and all Fluoroquinolones poison! Shame on the Drug Companies for caring more about money than there fellow human beings!
I cant believe greg downs would suffer that much and complain to his doctor and everyone about his frustration but never ever consider looking on the internet ? what is wrong with people that they wont use google, such a bright person and never considers looking on the internet ?
Great question. Imagine something that kicks in months after you have STOPPED taking the drug and every MEDICAL Professional you talk to says that no way an ANTIBIOTIC would still be in your system. Thats the tragedy here. Doctors don't know what they are talking about. with these drugs Then realize the side effects are so debilitating that I could not figure out how to park my car at the gas station to put gas in it. Thats what you are missing when suggesting researching web.

Is that a Second Theme Song at 6:39 (not the Windham Hill theme that greets us at the scenic start of Part 1 of 6) or just Exit Music? The icing on the cake is the faux Blues theme at 7:25 where the white guy tries for cultural bona fides by trying to sound black with the Levaquin Blues, and whose lyrics, and the dancer with seemingly no health problems, including healthy foot tendons, demolish any credibility by turning the whole video into a pitiful mockumentary.
Do us all a favor and take your film and music critiques someplace else. I really question the intelligence of someone who would take their time to comment negatively on persons trying to do a public good. Your comments about "old farts, and kid that says "you know" etc are ignorant at best and insensitive at worst.
I imagine you go into the cancer support websites and comment over there too about those "whiners" . Allow these folks an opportunity to become educated about their concerns!
I am so saddened that so many of us have been affected by this drug. Even if you find ways to ignore the pain, how do you ignore not being able to walk your child to school anymore, play in the front yard or volunteer in the classroom? I can't even drive. I'm home on the couch. A month ago I was in perfect health. Now this. It is unbelievable.
Thank you for making this video series. People need to know. This has to stop.
I too have been through so many tests, and labs. All always normal. Yet my family doctor gave this med to me, 3xs, even though she had to reccommend neurologists, and rheumotologists, the summer before. Shouldnt she have known better? I agree too that the horrors you feel, and having to function, taking care of young children and a household arent really shown. I still certainly appreciate the things that are covered.
Great video. I wish I could have seen it a week ago though :(
I was just prescribed Avelox and took it for 3 days and had to stop today because I just cant bear it. It makes me feel horrible and now I have this pain going from the top back of my knee down to my achilles. I really hope it goes away in a few days.
Though no fault of those that participated this movie does not even begin to describe all the issues of pain, anxiety, and weirdness you get. I was asked to contact the director of this movie when she was making it but I just felt too awful to even try to be in it. I was at the 4 or 5 month mark and just trying to get through days of just laying on the couch. Once again no fault to the participants, but it certainly doesn't show the ugliness of how you feel and how badly it affects you.
