  • Well done young dude

  • fuck yeah, son.

  • really love that potato and tomato part haha :D

  • I'm 16, been playing for 3 and half years, and can ALMOST play the first few riffs cleanly. Near the end, it gets much simpler. But props for getting it so nicely! How long did it take you to do this?

  • @MerchantOfDeath69 Took me maybe a 4 or 5-ish days, around 2 hours a day. Most of the time was spent on that string skipping riff.

  • lol ridic, you are very good wow

  • Well done man. That was really tight. On ya mate!

  • Props! This song is fucking impossible to get clean. Haha

  • @Toadoe7 haha, it was pretty frustrating to get clean but it just took me lots of tedious metronome work. Thanks for checking out my cover :)

  • Sick job dude!

  • @IggyealTheDestroyer Thanks for the kind words :)

  • unreal cover dude

  • @SMasaro11 Thanks a lot man!

  • Fuck man. I'm 15 and i thought i was good. Then i saw this, great job man.

  • @Rickles Thank you! Comments like these are what keep me going :)

  • awesome job dude! check out my drum cover of this song!

  • @pearldrummer65 Hey thanks! Great Cover! I noticed you have an electric kit? Would you be interested in doing a double cover?

  • @N1k0zj that would be awesome, but i sold the electric kit to get the acoustic one haha.

but i do have some mics, i can get a decent sound recording with those if you want.

  • @pearldrummer65 Alright, yeah sounds good. I'm willing to learn anything so if you have some song ideas just message me :)

  • 15 and this good?! subscribed. I hope to see more videos soon.

  • @AnthonyBuck860 Thanks a lot! I'm just trying to find out some better ways to record and then ill be uploading more frequently once I can get better quality

  • Holy shit! This is incredible, you nailed this song. 15 years old? You make me feel like I suck. lol

  • Good job man :)

  • Tabs please :D

  • @Fixo1995 Read the description :D

  • Very cool, especially for your age! Keep having fun with it!

  • @RHRHRH101010 Thanks a lot :)

  • Would you happen to have tabs or anythning because this song just looks fun as fuck to play and it's right in my area of playing.

  • Very well done. I was very impressed by how clean your skips are. What gauge strings are you playing with?

  • @cricketlang Thanks a lot! I was using whatever strings came stock at the time. I believe they were 10-46.

  • nice job, and the only one on youtube \m/

  • @SchecterDimondSeries Thank you :)

  • @N1k0zj no problem

  • @Symm3trical5carz It depends what level you're at now. The only part I found pretty hard was the riff right after the intro. It has some tricky string skipping so it took a lot of metronome work to get it clean. Other than that, the rest of the song isn't very hard.

  • sounds like drop D, nevermind

  • @EscapDAfate Drop C :)

  • @N1k0zj ohh for sure, thanks!

  • @EscapDAfate no problem :)

  • what's the tuning on this?

  • Post tabs!

  • @TriviumA7XMegadeth it's in the description :)

  • svaka cast,bravo! odlicno je :D

  • @xpmartyr84 hvala brate :)

  • No problem at all man. Lol I wanna spread the word bout agiles. 7 and 8 strng specialists. I gotta admit they're 7 strings are sick as hell even man. But they're 8 strings are the best frm experience. I use 13-90 gauge in low octave E standard tuning "E,A,D,G,C,E,A,D". Strings are (13,17,22,40,54,64,74,90)

  • Oh and agiles don't come with any inlay markers. Only thing I forgot. Haha now 7 string, they're all more/less even. But 8 string goes to agile if u fit the requirements and schecter wins pound for pound.

  • @The8thGateofDestiny Hey thanks again for all your help! I've got my eye on the agiles, they seem to the best specs visually and for playability.

  • Well here's the thing. Agiles r the best soundwise due to their increased 29" scale length to attain more breathing room for more in control playing however that is also the thing some ppl dnt like if they have small hands and that scale length/width is not 4 them. On the opposite, the ibanez uses 26/27" better for smaller handed ppl but real muddy/shitty low string sound. Schecter hellraiser 8 is basicly between those and evens things out well

  • Well let's see, I would say if u really wanna go 8, just go straight there. However the stretching for it and time 2 condition your hand 2 play it as if ur playing ur 6 is gna be hard as hell. 7 was confusing at 1st but after a month u really get the feel for it u know? But 2 save time and money go straight 2 8. Haha basicly the same price depending wat u get. I'm getting an agile interceptor pro 828 personally. But I see ur a schecter man, so C8 hellraiser is my reccomendation 4 u

  • @The8thGateofDestiny Thanks. I was looking at either the C8 or the Ibanez RGA8 but I think a 7 string would be perfect for me since I dont listen to many bands that play 8's. Tell me how the agile is once you get it, I've been looking at those for a while but I've seen mixed reviews on them.

  • Lol I must say that's damn good playing man. I play 7 and 8 string and made an altered version of this song accordingly but I must say. U got the right and left hand coordinated very well. I congradulate u cuz that string skipping is a bitch 2 get right

  • @The8thGateofDestiny Thanks for the positive feedback! How was the transition going to a 7 and 8 string guitar? I was thinking either getting a 7 or just going right to an 8 string but I guess it's an on and off thing for now. The string skipping part really is a bitch to get clean. I probably spent 4 hours total just practicing that riff to metronome :/

  • Wow man this is amazing!! Keep up the great work :)

  • @lolwtf32 Hey thanks a lot! I'll hopefully be uploading more covers like this more frequently so subscribe if you want to :)

  • I just leaked your video to the guitarist in my band...right now he's feeling shitty!

Only 4 years of guitar practice? Youre great

  • @matteoboscolotube Haha thanks a lot and sorry for the late reply, I thought I already responded to this comment but I guess not. Tell him not too feel too bad, it all comes with practice and hard work!

  • and did you use inside alternate picking or outside?

  • awesome!

    btw figure on 0:39

you played it right like on video putting your forefinger on 4th fret on 6th string but i think putting it on 5th finger is more suitable. what do you think about it? am i the only who want it like that?

  • @subbarty Hey, thanks for the feedback. I assume by 5th finger you meant 5th string? haha, playing the 6th string with your pinky would make the riff impossible. I'm almost positive the riff is played on the 6th string but I can't say for sure unless I see some live videos or tabs. I alternate pick everything with outside string crossing.

  • nice work!

  • @turbopootybop Thanks a lot man!

  • Wow, you are amazing! I'm 19 and have been playing for nearly 4 years and I'm no where as good as you, lol.

  • @RyanEnvy Thanks for the kind words, means a lot. You probably hate hearing it as much as I do but practicing to a metronome is the number one tool for progress! Just keep playing, you can only get better!

  • @N1k0zj Yes, I need to invest in a metronome. I'm sure it works wonders. I usually find GuitarPro tabs and play with the song slowly, then speed it up. Kinda works the same way I suppose.

  • @RyanEnvy That's a great alternative actually, I'd probably recommend doing that more than practicing to a metronome. Playing it slowed down in guitar pro will make sure you play every note to its fullest value and most people don't really pay attention to play precise note values when they use metronomes.

  • @N1k0zj Yea, I may try to learn this using that method, I'm addicted to this song.

  • @RyanEnvy It's a real toughie to get the riff after the intro clean, other than that riff the song isn't too hard. I'll be looking forward to your cover :)

  • @N1k0zj lol No cover this time, I just attempted it and it's way to quick for me. Not my style of playing for sure, love the song, but I can't play like that. I also don't have the time to commit to learning it lol.

  • @RyanEnvy Aww well it just takes lots of patience and lots of work with the metronome. Nice dunes cover btw, great job!

  • @N1k0zj Thanks! Check out my other covers too! I'm still trying to perfect my sound. My best quality is probably my cover of Drifting Figures.

  • Hey man, nice cover. Got tabs for this one?

    - Henri

  • @lDbReaper Hey, thanks a lot for the positive comment. I learned most of this by ear and from the playthrough video so I don't have any tabs but a member at the sevenstring forums posted a pretty accurate tab. I have a link to the forum in the description. You can find the tab under General Music Discussion, there should be a thread titled "The Haarp Machine", you can find the tabs there. Hope that helped!

  • @N1k0zj No problem, was a great cover, no reason to be negative right? Ok, I'll check it out. Let me know when you cover some other sick song ;) (Born Of Osiris/ After The Burial?????)

  • @lDbReaper Thanks for subscribing! Hopefully I'll be able to get a 7 string around Christmas so I'll definitely be covering some After The Burial songs. I haven't listened to much Born of Osiris though, got any songs I should listen to by them?

  • @N1k0zj No problem man ;) Yeah I'm saving to buy my 7 string aswell, can't wait! You should definitely check out the new album (The Discovery), it's a fucking masterpiece in my opinion. Check out Recreate! If you need some more bands check my page man, there's a lot on there. If that's not enough just pm me and I'll send you some bands.

    - Henri

  • @lDbReaper I'll make sure to check it out, thanks again!

  • @cityinthesky0 haha thanks man, i appreciate it.

  • fag.

  • @milosh1942 you're just jealous of this sexyness
