This is the finest guitar that I have ever owned and versatile as well. This Strat was ready to play right out of the tweed case! Hey, this Strat is the closest thing that you are going to get to a Custom Shop Strat but without the price.
Hey...you better knock that shit off right now....or , maybe a lil' later, but definately quit this activity soon....aahhhh....what the hell....keep em' comin'....very nice man....
If this is a "vintage" '57 it must have been stored in a hyperbaric chamber over the past 52 years. The body looks almost convincing but the fretboard looks like it could have been built today. Either way beautiful axe & playing.
I have the same guitar and I am wondering if you have had a lot of buzz from the neck we have shimmed polished frets you name it action up and down cant seem to solve it i love the tone and feel of this guitar just wish we could make her quiet i love the blues playing by the way keep bending thks for any info
the little marshall mg15cdr is a good amp for my strat .-) the best maybe a twin silverface or a hughe&kettner or a ... bbking plays good on everey amp lol
This combo amp sounds soo much better than other ones. My name is Britany Kleckner. I get good grades, and my parents give me 10 dollars each week. So in two months i will be able to afford your guitar and amp :)
why maple is better? I reckon that the pysical of playing these maple vintage neck with gloss is really nice... But is it really that better tonewise than rosewood?
typically you get a warmer sound with rosewood, and maple isn't as warm, but it plays fast. I mean really it's all just personal preference. i have maple because i like the feel of maple
I own several Fender guitars and generaly it seems that guitars with maple fretboards have more mid and treble. Whereas, the guitars with rosewood boards have a more balanced tone. The rosewood board gives the guitar a little more bass, and a little less mid. Think John Mayer compared to Eric Clapton. However, I have heard some maple fretboard guitars that sound like your typical rosewood board guitar, and vice versa.
I see...I prefer rosewood as it is more balanced and has more bass in it so i'll go for a 62 reissue..But the other day i was playing a '57 in a vox ac30 and it felt really good. That maple neck is great...But i can't afford to have them all! lol
best explanation by far - i agree and will just add that preference should depend on purpose as well as overall personal taste. Some fenders wont cut it as blues guitars but may make great hard rock instruments. studionwise you should also consider the function you want whats played to have in the mix. maybe you need that extra maple top for some parts and mellow rosewood for others even if youll play just one instrument on the road.
Agreed. Furthermore, what an instrument 'should' sound like when written up on paper, is not always what it 'actually' sounds like. There will always be the odd guitar that doesn't sound like it should. I have heard many maple neck strats that sound like they have a rosewood board & vice-versa. I have heard many ash teles that sound like alder. It all depends on the particular intrument, NOT THE MODEL, as every piece of wood has unique tonal qualities. This is why you SHOULD NOT buy online.
can anyone tell if i should get this or the 62? i am leaning toward this because, from what i have heard, it sounds better and i perfer maple. can anyone give me a second opinion?
Overall, I think this is some of the best playing I've heard on YouTube that didn't have one of the big names on the screen. Seriously. Way to hold it down and keep it together. Keep up the good work! Peace.
oh ok,it mustve been a 57 then, but it was crap either way.yeah those custom shop models are badd.I played a team built 69 closet classic strat, one of the best Ive ever played, could could imagine how great the masterbulits must be?
HOla che estas tocando directamente ,sin ninguna pedalera, solo con el ampli marshall MS4 porque me quiero comprar uno y estoy viendo si vale para pena un abrazo, soy de Argentina La Plata
Good Heart's playing Man! I'm thinking about buying a 57' or 62'. ¿What can you tell me about 7,25 radius? ¿Is it difficult for bendings? ¿Must the strings has to be very high to avoid cancellation? ¿Difficult for Slide?
Great playing, may I suggest lowering the gain and pulling up the master instead. Strats just need some power tube distortion to sound good when overdriven.
Perhaps someone already mentioned this but isn't the song "You can leave your hat on" by Joe Cocker? At least this arrangement if he didn't write the song! Not born under a bad sign even though it has the same groove. Still great playing anyway!
Great tone and great playing! It really annoys me to see people posting comments like "marshall's suck", or tell you that you have to learn more scales. Grow up people! If you don't like what this guy's doing then just keep your mouth shut. He didn't ask for your opinion. Marshall's don't suck, ignorant people do!
whether you guys think marshall are ford equivalents are whatever the fuck, you'd be a dumb motherfucker to sit here and tell me that this tone is bad. Is full of sustain and its thick and fat with just enough highs to cut.
Here's a prime example of an ignorant person! The tone isn't that nice? Everyone else here seems to disagree with that. Oh and how bout I tell you that Orange and Hi-Watt suck? What possible reason could I base this statement on? NONE! You're an idiot.
Thing is...Marshalls are all over the board. Some of them ARE mass produced crap. But some, like the JTM 45,have produced some of the finest tones ever heard on rock, and blues records!Nothing wrong with wanting one,but just do your research.
Even though I'd kill to have a pre-CBS era Strat I've often wondered (as far as tone goes) how much better it is compared to modern American strats or even a Mexican Strat. They are the real deal though.
Solid alder body (not 2 or 3 pieces glued together), fabulous pickups, nice thin maple neck, bone nut, nickle plated hardware. It was the epitome of the maple neck Strat, after which they just made it worse. It was perfect, but to sell more guitars they had to advertise "new imporvements". The 1962 Strat, on the other hand, is the epitome of the rosewood fret board strat; but the same thing happend to it.
Very nice guitar work. I really like the phrasing - lots of space and you hit just the right notes when it matters. I'm going to leave work early to go home to rip this solo off and pretend it's mine. Hahaha
