although he still has some voice changing issues in this video, How many perfomers today do there shows completely live (no lip sincking). what great performers the osmonds are!!!!!
I remember 1st meeting Donny in Pa. in 1974 and noticed he had just a touch of acne on his chin. When I came from backstage and mentioned it to a friend who couldn't come back with me, others yelled at me that Donny was perfect and had no pimples. I still smile about that. I recall too he had to come out of his dressing room in the hall. No one was allowed alone with them while their parents were around.
Watched this one with tears streamin' down my cheeks. Why? haha I think it makes me happy because I had such a great time during those years and sad because everything is so different now. I've met all of them and they really are nice, polite guys. Thankx for posting this...it's great!
wow looked really young in this video, back in the 70's. now now all the Osmond brothers are married now & have a big family, even Jay has a big family now!,but back then hw was single in the 70's. nice video!
When I was about 11 years old (1972), my girlfriend was crazy about Donny. I bought her Donny's "My Best To You" album. I always loved hooky pop songs, and The Osmonds are up there with my favorites! And sweet Marie!
What I like about the Osmonds the most, is their honesty. I don't know them personally, but they come across as good, genuine, sincere people. I don't know if it's true, but that's the vibe I get.
Thanks for sharing this. I live in Ohio and I wish I'd been there. I lived in Utah when they were this young, but we couldnt' afford to ever go see them live. I did see Donny once when I took a tour of their studio in Utah. I thought I'd marry Jimmy, cause he was my age, and I was a mormon, so it could happen, right? :) Anyway, I'm so glad they have been good examples for our church. It's not easy to be a mormon! But, they live their faith with so much stregnth! How Sweet it is!!
This is so AWESOMELY FABULOUS!! I feel like a teenager again!! WOW!! Thanks for sharing a rare and wonderful video(s)!! I'd love to find Osmond 70s concert videos to own - - their priceless!!
Merrill's my "babe" now (since the 80's) but when I watch these performances of Donny I see why he was my pre-teen love he really was very/still is cute/sweet, especially with his froggy voice lol.
Actually, I think Donny could've sounded like a real frog and his fans would've still loved him. He just had that magic that young girls adored. Me, included....

It must suck to have to perform when your voice is changing. I thought it sucked and I needed only to talk.
rustyoo2006 4 years ago
At their peak. Donny's voice is changing-lol.
I remember-I was in the 6th grade, and all the girls were waiting for "The 12th of never"
to come out to hear the "new" Donny.
