  • i do i want a mint

  • How many times are they going to use the same sound for the dog in one episode lol

  • Damn, that's almost five times the speed of sound!

  • lol 50 "garrick" avenue

  • The guy playing green lantern in the 2011 movie should have played a remake of this to me this flash and the guy who played green lantern look alike

  • @ziggy7570 WOW I couldnt agree more!!! I actually did some background extra work on a movie with him, Sabrina the Teenage witch the TV Movie....

I was in that movie with him.. His name is Ryan Renolds.... I played a Track athlete and I was part of his Entoruage cause Ryan Renalds played the Cool popular kid that ran track....

He should be the Flash... It would be the perfect role for him....

  • @Loadfaster Yea I agree Ryan Reynolds would make a perfect Wally West flash

  • Why is the dog hiding from him all the time?

  • Eatin' all that food damn, must take a big ass shit

  • i wish i could run as fast as flash so does my dad so he dosnt have too spend money too go too work he just has too run

  • is this the first ep of the flash

  • @ThePloard yes it is.

  • They left him under the lifeguard house???

  • @Darkspell19 I know right!! They just left him under the lifeguard stand and called it a day....LOL!!!

  • so they just letf him there on the beach?

  • was this the late 80s or early 90s?

  • @1PichuFan 1990-91 I think. :)

  • Loved Earl.

  • Earl = win, plain and simple.

  • Garrick Ave. lol another Flash reference.

I knew that dog would attack his food as soon as he turned away.

  • i like this scene where he travels 30 miles in no time flate and he still has no idea what's going on

  • real good for its time shame it failed! had a lot going for it!

  • Great quality. John Wesly will always be my Flash.

  • what does she say???when he is on the running machines she says it keeps me.............???

  • great effect, the water landing, considering its before CGI

  • Danny Elfmans score fits perfectly for the flash. I loved and will always remember the quick piece he conducted when barry sees the bus pulling away, and speeds to catch. Does anyone know where i can get the soundtrack?

  • the flash or green lantern should be the next DC movie.

  • green lantern is gonna be next after spiderman4.

  • What barry was saying: whats wrong puppie eh?

what dog was saying: Rut-ro! nice man ro really fast!

  • Address to meet was 50 Garrick street. Nice shout-out.

  • Is it just me, but does the guy that plays Barry look a tad like Ryan Reynolds? Because Ryan was originaly going to play the Flash a couple of years ago.

  • Rough Translation of the dog's whining:

"You've got to be kidding, i'm still tired from the last time"

"I'm staying in here until you're back, you run too fast"

  • lol i wached this when i was a kid, i was mad when it whent off the air??

  • I loved this show I watched it often

  • What i didn't understand is why was Iris in the Art business? Iris was a reporter for the Picture News, based in Central City, and the girlfriend of the chronically late Barry Allen. I ronic huh? the Fastest Man Alive could'n't kep a date.

  • this is awesome, i didnt get to see the show cuz i

was born 1990, damn it lol...but was this like an hour show?

  • isnt the flashs name wally west

  • yes and no

    there are different flashes

    theres jay garrick,barry allen,wally west,and bart allen

  • There are different men who were different incarnations of the "Flash". Jay Garrick, Barry Allen, and Wally West. It depends on the time line of the characters in the DC universe..

  • Wally West is Iris West's (Barry Allen's) nephew. Wally West was originally Kid Flash and was trained by Barry when Wally gained his powers. Eventually He took over for Barry.

  • He covered 30 miles in 18 seconds. His speed was 6000 miles/hr.

  • @dnp97001 or... about 5 mach! ; )

damn! I wish I could do that...

    (with no side effects!)

  • @dnp97001 AWESOME!!!!!! Your the man... taking the time to do the calculations

  • Garrick Ave. is an allusion to the original Flash of the 40s, Jay Garrick.

  • redplague888 : I really haven't researched how the effects were done, but I remember reading in the TV Guide that they had developed a new fx process just for this show.

  • pookie1713: C'mon, man! cut them some slack! This was a TV production in 1990. This was state of the art back then with their limited budget.

Try stepping out of your 21st century tunnel vision, and see things in context.

  • This show rocked da' house! The special effects are cutting edge for the 90s time period. It was amazing how they made John seem so fast in this show. It's gotta be more than just a camera trick...what else did they use for the speed effects?

  • @redplague888

Blur effects , and fast foward. It aslo seemed that sometime's they shot the background people seperatly in slow motion and then must have shot him on Blu-screen. Pretty impressive effects for a show in the very early 90's. Very Expensive too. That and the production as a whole.

  • @jayce79

Thanks jayce! I appreciate the info. I always wondered how they made Barry turn into a blur when he was doing stuff.

  • @redplague888

Oh , . . no prop. I also think in some of the latter episode they aslo used a visual eco-like effect. Fun stuff. Take care man.

  • gee ... wouldnt have anything to do with the show being roughly 20 years old now would it ... hmmn ?

  • would you like a after dinner mint?

  • jajajajajaja buenasa ¡¡

  • i was about 10 or 11 when this show came out i loved it then and still do its too bad it didnt last very long

  • Ahahaha, the dog locked himself in the closet. That poor poor animal. XD

  • I wish I was old enough to warch this series when it came on.

  • I was 13 when this series aired on CBS. I only saw a few episodes here and there. I think the reason why this show didn't last was because they showed it on Saturday evenings. If you think about it, who wants to spend their Saturday evening watching TV? They'd rather get out and do something. If this was shown on either a Sunday or a weeknight, I think the show would've made it.

  • wow yeah they usually just shows movies or reruns on saturdays. That was stupid of them, and you know what kids want to do on saturdays, watch cartoons, play outside or just hang out.

  • his dog hates him :S

  • Later on in the series, didn't Barry leave Iris for Tina?

  • All that and he still has change in his pocket. ;)

  • Barry Allen CAN run on water but he did stop.

  • doesnt know he can run on water yet huh?
