Where did you get that wonderful head dress ? With great vocals and good looks, VT should break out the confines of a small market in the US. No easy for a Chinese American singer. Go for it in the Asian market with potentials of more than a billion audience. Perhaps can start a base first in your ancestral Asian homeland initially. After consolidation go for the Greater China market. Get good contacts and a good Asian manager. The sky is the limit if you can dream big. Thanks for the post.

Very good graphics, artistic head dress and backgrounds. Also with such good vocals, VT should expand market reach to a bigger audience in Asia. Market in US is very small for Chinese American Singers. Strategies and go for the target billions of audience in the East. Get good contacts first in your ancestral home land and then with a base, branch out to other niches of the vast Asian market. That is the way to go.

This Green Island is actually an island specially designed for prisons, just like Alcatraz in San Francisco. Lots of the prisoners were actually dissidents, some of them were famous academics who spoke against the KMT government. If you have time you can try read some of 柏杨s books. This famous author spent 9 years on the island. According to him, this song is composed by a dissident who was a professor in music.

As I said Green Island in the lyric refers to Taiwan itself, not a tiny island near Taiwan called 綠島. 綠島 was called 火燒島 before 1945. It was used to detain political prisoners. That is the reason some people think this song has something to do with it and the rumor that the government might ban it.
