I got really sad when my character turned into stone. Then when elazul and pearl returned home and talked to lisa and bud, I thought he was dead at first...I mean wtf I'm the main character. lol
What many people can't understand is that OST of games, and animes can express the emotions or a part of the life to the person, doesn't matter if the game is older than you or the grafics aren't good, what matters is the musics that you will never forget.
I feel adventure coming from this song... unfortunately all the games now days are about modern warfare (including the actual game cod mw etc.) and destruction. I cant seem to find any more games for ds/gba/ game cube/ps2 about adventures like fire emblem, legend of mana, and more games that have that feel of adventure
Damn. I actually thought it was a Halo song. I heard something about a "love story" originally in Halo 2, and I thought this song was cut because that part was also cut. Hmm.
It was supposed to be in Halo 2, it's on the soundtrack that was never released, but they took it out since it was on this game too. It would actually be a pretty good song for Halo, but it was rejected.
There are a few quests that take place in Polpota Harbor. Are you referring to Drowned Dreams with the ghost at the hotel? I'm pretty confident that Drowned Dreams will start once you speak with Flameshe and the Flowerling at the mall, Thoma at the beach, and the hotel manager in that order at the harbor.
I can't help but wonder where Yoko drew from for the inspiration of this song.
Very few people have the ability to create out of pure abstract - usually our emotions and memories shape us in our ability to create, whether we admit, or even realize it or not.
This particular composition is so harrowing.
I often wonder what memories led her to evoke such a powerful emotional response? There is a great deal of pain here...
This would be the very Top of my list Siren song the second.. thy both have a lovely tune with so much soul you can actually feel it aound you. Sometimes when i hear this song I would remember those sad days and then be happy with it because this song goes with the lonliness and sadness that I have been going through i think rate it to 100000000000000000000000000000/5
I remember sitting down and playing through LoM with my brother when I was younger and sometimes we'd just wait somewhere and listen to the music. Or get excited when the badass boss music played.
This song is one of the most powerful songs in any video game I've played.
have things changed now? i used to be the same now i havent seen my lil bro in 6 years we used to pause the games and listen to music from many other games too.
I love this song so much as well as the game... it's funny though, you know. I don't even like most actual music like you hear on the radio. I mean, seriously, some of them are just retarded and annoying to listen to. It would be funny and weird but also really cool if music from things like Video Games and Anime were actually on the radio. I love those types of songs.
somehow it reflects the cost cutting approach of today's game developers bc of fierce competition and especially of how today's jap rpgs (unsure about the others) lacked its predecessor's depth. I think a wealthy evangelist should fund the creation of an rpg that can put all games and everything real in this world to a whole new level of shame! Maybe it should be made in a sort of make-to-order development approach via surveys and other tallying approach.
..just trying to say that now things are getting very competitive in the business world and game development is not an exception. So Halo obtaining the right to use this song isn't bc it's the perfect song but rather i think it's to cut development costs. Same thing w/ RPG. Developing a game w/ lots of 'depth' and 'dimensionality' will only earn the developers marginal or even a negative return from the extra effort put in.
You know, I really like Halo, and I found this song through a video saying it was a Halo song, but it can't be. It's never been in a soundtrack as far as I know, and it's never been heard in one of the Halo games. I'm afraid it's only a rumor.
Then again, that's just what my gut tells me based on what I know.
This reminds me of children playing around. And it's also sad in some ways. I love this song, it almost made me cry *sniff* Everytime i hear this song it feels like angels playing around you. I luve this song. 100/100 :3
Tears hit my eyes when I first heard this one in the Gem City. Then again when I heard Those Who Are Shining (the one that played for the sequence after you beat the gem monster). It was then that I realized that 1) I am a wimpy game music bastard 2) I am proud of it and 3) I need to get this onto a music player for myself before the last thought was done.
My brother is one of those that thinks that music in video games is just padding. What he doesn't understand is that music can convey emotions in people that otherwise wouldn't be there no matter how much story, character development, etc. was there. The music is interwoven in us being able to understand all of it in an emotional way.
@zephyrvidar1 As Gustav Holst entitled his famous piece, "Song Without Words". Music is an art, and art is a way to convey ones emotions without having to express them verbally or even physically. When you convey an emotion in a conventional way, it's effect may only last at that moment. When you convey an emotion through, it's effect will live on forever.
Great work dude, this song is the best of the whole and wonderfull LoM OST,nostalgic like few and beautiful aswell,i still remember the Jumi story and the sad path going forward in the bejeweled city...The city of flickering destruction.Nice one! Regards!

Originally composed for Legend of Mana, somehow, Halo got ahold of it, and made it famous.
Technically, it's Legend of Mana's property, no matter how many fans try and make it Halo's.
