  • I had my wirehaired dachshunds in my yard once, and suddenly a whole family of moles entered it. I went inside to get some tools to take care of them, but when I came back out, I was surprised to find out that she actually killed the entire family. When I walked back out, she brought what seemed to be the father to my feet. I never trained her to do that, it must have been her instincts. She's 8 years old, yet still very active.

  • That looks so fun! best doxie hunting vid ive seen. we just got our second one...sadly our poor Otis passed because of back problems, never got to take him hunting, but we will this time! great video too

  • Great dogs , but maybe you should take that bell of off him. He might sneek on those rabbits more quiet, and surprise them!!!

  • @steinderbush Thats how you find your dachshund in the woods.

  • (deeznuttz315) You would be surprised that they are equally good in the snow too. My dogs have such a high strong drive, thus nothing stops them.

Yes, the snow slows them down and they hop (jump) in the snow, rather than walk, most of the time, but the snow slows down the rabbit too. Go on my website to see the rabbit that I got with them with the snow being almost one foot deep.

  • Awesome rabbit runners, however, they are not good in the snow because there short legs.

  • good looking dog, alwyas fun to watch your dachshund on the fly after a rabbit. Just got a new pup so i will be taking him out today for his first rabbit hunt.
