no seriously, everyone wears a helmet these days, if you think i'm kidding then go ahead and risk your safety, but i suggest you take a look for yourself. every good downhill skateboarder wears or should be wearing a helmet and sliding gloves at least. other than that good job on the video, hope it stokes some fresh fishies to surf the concrete wave!!

Globe, Never Summer and Loaded are all good brands, i dont like sector 9, there just i dont know i seem to just hate them. Any boards within the 30 - 40inch range are good, Bustin Boards have cool boards

@pithw NOOOO dont go for a sector 9, dont get me wrong, they make a great starter board because theyre cheap, and they carve nicely, but not much else. There isnt really a "best" anything in longboarding though. It all depends on what type of riding you do, but for a pretty cheap board check out the EarthWing SuperModel.

some brands are: Landyachtz, loaded, original, earthwing, never summer, rayne, BC, blah blah blah blah

These are more of cruising boards: sector 9, arbor, glove

So... I started learning to longboard... And Saturday night I had to spend the night in the ER 'cause I wiped out going downhill pretty bad and was sitting in a pool of my own blood. I ended up ripping off my elbow to my bone and getting 7 stitches and a concussion and am covered in road burns everywhere!! So I can't do sh*t for two weeks. (This is why girls shouldn't longboard. LOL)
