its amazing how cedar point is such an amazing park that if a ride of iron dragon's quality was anywhere else it could possibly be considered the best ride there, whereas at cedar point its considered boring or a "sorry excuse" for a roller coaster. It looks great to me, but because it's at cedar point it is completely overshadowed.

I rode this when I was 8 and loved it. It isn't for 25 year olds. That's the beauty of Cedar Point. There is such a variety roller coasters so that there is a ride for everyone. This is an amazing ride! Come on! When I was a kid I rode these rides first so I got a feel of the roller coasters before I took on the big ones.If you want to look at a "sorry excuse" of a ride, direct your eyes to the back of the park where the Mean Streak is located. Now that ride is a sorry excuse.

When I went to CP a couple years ago I've NEVER been on a coaster because I always chickened out as a kid. But the very first one I went on when I got in the park was the Raptor followed by Millennium Force and Gemini. The Iron Dragon was the last coaster I went on and it was still fun for how old it is.

From what I've been told it was the first suspended coaster built. Hence the need for two sets of draw chains.

Too bad I never got to ride on the Maverick before coming back home.

I hope CP keeps this ride. It looks like coasters from Arrow Dynamics are slowly dissappearing. The Revolution from Libertyland may never be reassembled again. The Python at BGA, Big Bad Wolf at BGE, the GASM at SFGrAdv, and the Eagles Fortress are gone.

with the demise of the big bad wolf last year at busch gardens williamsburg im hoping i can make it to ride this "sorry excuse" next summer. i'll ride anything that looks reasonably safe, but just because it isnt the tallest, fastest, most inversions....doesnt make it a poor ride. quite frankly i'm bored with being inverted. i want a body with my coaster, not just fluff.
