If you're against torture then holding people (even children) indefinately without charges should be also wrong to you because it specifically violates our constitution and international convention. Why not try them? If they really are the worst of the worst they'll be convicted. The Nazis got trials for God sake. I don't think they're worse than the Nazis.
Remember Obama is just a president. A president in a time of deeply entrenched corporate power in every aspect of our government. He's a president in reality --not the Emporer of Fantasy Land where he has absolute power. And what people don't understand is there's a mom who's kid has stomach cancer who can now get coverage because of the HCR bill. He's not trying to look good for liberal pundits --he's trying to save THAT kid --if he has to not look liberal enough to do that he will.
So far he's doing exactly what he said he would do. The GM bailout was a really good investment. So far they have paid back the loans ahead of time and the money has come back more than was paid: I mean that's thousands of unemployment checks that now don't have to get paid. Thousands of people not getting their health care in the ER. Instead they are paying taxes and increasing revenues. And Bowing is a step up from kissing him on the mouth which our last guy did.
By and large, I share your sentiments towards Obama. I was excited and hopeful when he took office, but now I feel depressed. I guess I was being naive.
The first sign of a major let down occurred when he supported a increase in the military budget. A big red flag went off at that point.

well i wanted a public option at the very least, however ive become more skeptical of the actual benefits, as i see dems simply rehearse lines like "end waste and abuses" w/o giving me the details, similar to the repubs, but pretty much typical politician behavior.

i tried watching obama deception but it was just too damn stupid for me, i couldnt get through more than 30 mins. zeitgeist was very interesting, mostly the part on the Fed, but im not a conspiracy theorist, not generally, where are the living hijackers exactly??? i havent heard of anything he claimed happened, he cites mostly just other conspiracy theorists. however the north american union i do think is a threat, or at least has the potential to be one.
yea its kinda long but the general idea is that obama is serving the richest bankers on the planet whose only interest is to make huge sums of money at any expense. personally I usually listen to what conspiracy theorists have to say and make my own conclusions and as far as the north american union goes, some say it apparently will be just the begining to a world government

@rgper22008 The Obama deception is pure and total crap. It sheds light on the deceptive and ridiculous ramblings of the film maker. There's not 2 minutes of that butt load of a movie that doesn't contain a ridiculous logical fallacy or out and out lie.
