@Z3kedog People often misinterpret Raymond's antics in the ring as disrespect for his opponent when he actually does it to pump himself up and it really has nothing to do with who he is fighting. Outside of the ring he is a very humble and respectful person.

If i were in that match i would of refused to fight him. Again id like to mention control. Someone who has control CONTROLS their emotion (meaning he can focus for a fight without yelling or running around). A black belt commands the situation rather than the other way around. i did this stuff when i was younger, before i learned what real fighting is like and how much cooler it is to do real combat sports. neither of them have their guard up because they don't punch to the face, its also no even continuous, so counters are pretty much a non-issue, hence the ability to win by diving in off balance and occasionally hurling yourself to the ground

I like to watch these point sparring matches because its a good example of what NOT to do in a fight. Although it aggravates me watching someone act all cocky after pulling off an attack (which would not work on the street) and keep their hands down the whole time. I hope he's at this years one, doing the continuous sparring (I have no idea what the rules are, but they have to be more practical than point sparring, right?)

I saw many videos of Raymond Daniels, and he´s a very good fighter!! But I don´t know what type of marcial art he realy practice. The texts says "Karate", but I thing it isn´t true Japanese Karate. It´s remember me the American Taekwondo ATA (Songhan) or a litle of ITF Taekwondo... maybe a litle of my Brazilian Capoeira... Somebody knows?
