Pyro was still an unknown at this point, and Frankie's never entered any Evo tourns before. Watson, JR and Valle established themselves early on as three of the better West Coast 3S players, Justin had decent fundamentals of the game(though Ricky should've been in), and Gee-O was the best 3S player in America back then. The team would've made sense back then.
But yeah, the US have leveled up tremendously, and thanks to MOV teaching the US players some more tricks we may evolve moreso.
dont count justin out, just because he doesnt play agressively doesnt mean he sucks. Watch him in MvC2 or SF4, hes plays extremely agressively in those games.
@ElectricWizard616 the reason why hes agressive in sf4 is that he cant parry fireballs so he must actually attack and in mvc2 you have to be agressive noone has ever been good being defensive in mvc2 you'd get chip damaged to death
@330432 That's not the reason he's aggressive in SF4. He said in interviews that he personally changed his style because he noticed that it kinda suited him more to have a more aggressive style. Also, you can be defensive in MvC2.
