Yes, like the person aobe stated, the Rock Band Peripherals have been said to work with Guitar Hero 4, but it is unknown at the moment if the Rock Band 2 peripherals work. I can't see how the drums will work though, as the Guitar Hero drums have 5 pads (3 and 2 cymbals), whereas the Rock Band has only 4. (You can buy a cymbal add-on for Rock Band Drums though available on the release of Rock Band 2.

to people saying rock band is easy compared to GH heres what I think:

GH is a guitar game, finding songs that are challenging for the guitar is easy. GH also adds unrealistic notes like keyboard notes in the lot to make it harder.

In rock band you need songs that will be fun for everyone so vocals, guitar, drums and bass. you cant put bass notes in the guitar chart if you want it to be more challenging.

I say GHWT difficulty will depend on their setlist.

Okay? Fanboy city. First of all Harmonix is King. Rock Band is the innovator. Red Octane makes better hardware, and Rock Band's tracklist I'd bet my balls is still going to kick GH: WT's tracklist's ass. I like GH3 and from what I can tell, GH4 too. I used to like Tony Hawk... until they made 42 identical playing titles. GH just followed suit with what was obviously (content creation) the next logical step.

Rock Band's presentation is minimal and clearer; and less notes indeed. I find the timing has to be alot more precise in Rock Band. Whereas GH has alot more notes, some are keyboard, some are bass etc. Just try The Perfect Drug or Run to the Hills on Drums, then tell me it's easy.

I got my first gh game (gh3) at christmas and I've 5*ed every song on expert except ttfatf and raining blood (both 4*). Let's compare the two fun wise: Games that you can play in your sleep are not fun. Games that are vaguely challenging e.g. the original megamans, solomon's key etc. are awesome. Rock band is ridiculous easy, it provides no fun. Guitar hero provides an average challenge.

When I play a racing game and I crash my car, I don't want to be disqualified from the race while people cut my body from the wreckage. The game is just as rhythmic as the songs that are fretted, as the notes are in EXACTLY the same place as the notes in the song, so if the rhythm is bad, that's the band's fault. If you want it to be more precise, like me, turn on precision mode. MGS games aren't hard, go play ikaruga, mario lost levels or battletoads for a hard game. Game difficulty's gone down the drain as companies tried to bring in bigger markets. A game that's decently challenging imho actually deserves its seal of quality.
