    Erika Ragazzi

  • So clean and clear.

    Bravo!

  • Wonderful Performances

  • That was awesome. The dramatic turn to the camera ending presentation was a treat in impromptu handling of the situation! :D

I bet you could never repeat this performance in a million years exactly, Thus preserving it's ...ahum.. unique qualities near the finishing run! :P ...shall we say it was quite lively!

  • Thanks for listening all of the way. I appreciate your comment!

  • written for breaking the fingers :-)

hope to hear you live in Paris perhaps?

  • Bravo! and I love that you kept going after the snap :P

  • Aha! i was saying damn with you. Fantastic, I think you just made Ravel grin in his grave for a second.

  • Well, you just got another smile out me.

  • Well played, an nice tempo. Looks like you have quite a nice house, too!

  • Thank you. You are very generous with your time.

  • Nice. You seem rather comfortable with the cluster and played them in a comical, Goliwogg's Cakewalk kind of way. The repetitive could have been a bit more clear, but I do realize those are rather difficult.

I don't have much to say on the tempo besides it being well executed, maybe some rushing here and there, but good and consistent. The phrasing was loose, and that's a good way to look at an Impressionist composer.

Probably my only very strong point is that the dynamics are dry, monotonous.

  • You are the man. Watch this very close, you will see...

  • Did you, perhaps, pattern your interpretation after Samson Francois? There are certain similarities that might suggest that.

  • sweet:) enjoyed !

  • Congratulations, Stephen! This is a score I never dared approach, and you play it VERY well.

Wish I could talk with you privately, and learn more about your background, and how you came to make the piano such an important part of your life.

If I said "too much" yesterday, please forgive me. All that criticism meant that I was stimulated -- even inspired -- by your ability to play the instrument so well. I believe you could reach great heights with a little "fine tuning."

    Best,

    P.

  • It is a wonderful performance! Sounds very nice! Congratulations!!!*************

  • haha :D great video! The string break adds some drama to the video :) I once broke a string on my piano when i was playing polonaise in A flat major....it scared me pretty bad and I stopped playing just like you did. Good job on picking it up to finish! :)

  • Haha that is awesome

  • good playing, you broke the string? haha COOL

  • That was amazing!!!

    Powerful performance!

And he broken string gives this video a 6th star!

    Congrats!

  • that's totally AWESOME performance

    Thank you

  • Nice, spirited performance! You are a real musician.

  • Great performance - but you should have kept going after the broken string! Good job!

  • Βravo! 5*****

  • My favorite saying: Whatever you do in your life is not important, but it's important you do it!

You can be really proud of this performance!

    Congratulations!!!

  • As long as it's fun! Thanks so much. You must know that this comment means very much. ;.

  • What's your opinion on the staccato marking that appear at the slow section, the part where it's Gs and F#s?

  • At 3:19 etc...

  • I imagine this to be a sound followed by the reverberation or a sound wave that bounces off and returns. A reflection of the sound if you will. Thus the title of Moroirs. It's difficult to put into words, but I feel it very clearly. Picture a rock thrown into a pool, the waves go out and come back. They bounce off of one another, then fade.

  • Excellent!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ah, nothing better than Ravel's wonderfully spiced harmonies -- a nice performance that was enegertic and powerful when needed as well as poignant and introspective.

  • That's because Ravel draws me in. It really seems to be my favorite. Thank you for helpimg me to realize that. What next?

  • Great performance! Who could have thought an Insurance guy could play like that!:)

  • such a wonderful performance :)

  • A very good performance, but unfortunately Dinu Lipatti is unsurpassable in this piece.

  • Beautiful , really fantastic :) i can hear all the amazing sounds of Spain, a surreal spanish dance. i love Ravel :) Bravo great performance 5***** Merry Christmas and a happy new year.

  • Thank you, Merry Christmas to you as well! I'm glad you enjoyed it. You should play it too. It's really a lot of fun and you'll never get tired of practicing it.

  • Really well done! I would like to play this piece, 5/5
