  • did they name it airpod because you need a strong wind to push it ?

  • where can i buy them? where are the factories???

  • @l4dyfutur3 Next year always next year and has been since 1996. Factories? They are waiting on parts from MDI which will arrive next year.........you get the story

  • No me gusta, pero si se mueve con aire, es una alternativa de transporte buena.

  • the speed can easily be doubled if the driver eats a load of beans before he fills the tank

  • A piece of junk.

  • it looks like an oversized road sweeper that the council workers push around in England, goes about the same speed by the look of it.........

  • Look at the power, awsome man, I think you need passengers to blow more air into the tanks....ok everyone now deep breath, blow....hwwoooo, harder we need to that jogger...I reckon girls would like this car, some would get speeding tickets all the time they blow so hard ... ;)

  • I believe we must find better ways than gasoline vehicles but this test for me is a fail. Or maybe a very bad driver. C'mon give yourself a little more credit.

  • Miahs

  • you gotta love it when the JOGGER passes this guy up as if he was standing still...oh wait a sec, he was. idiot

  • Surely isnt perfect jet, but this thing drives with air.. impressive

  • @Hammermann533 IMPRESSIVE!! A 6 hp engine with a 5 mile range using technology that is no better than air vehicles from the 1900's with no way to improve.

And you are impressed You are going to wet yourself the first day you see a loaf of sliced bread

  • @fizzguts You build one. Then we'll talk.

  • @Nikifuj908 you should understand physics and do the maths so you would then know this is a miserable short range inefficient scam. Then you wouldn't need to make a twat of yourself

  • Maybe thye should try driving it in a parking lot first. Such a streamline design...

  • this not running in France it is walking speed in France, I have never seen one go road speed

  • Look at the rear seats! Thats a great way to get motion sickness. Just fix that. And it wont work in paris because the traffic is worse than london's

  • EPIC FAIL

  • it´s the same like with e- cars. 30 years companys worth billions say that they can´t build this... 3 years ago 3 guys goto california and build the tesla. bam! a hit in the face for the car companys.now daimler & abu dhabi bought into tesla, so bye bye tesla.

130 years hydrogen technology was surpressed (technical blah, not possible blah). hey! when i can male it 130 years ago i can use it 130 years ago! now we have it.. but not water in fuel tank. still chained to a gas station. surprised?

  • @0618033 Tesla has the same problem all decent electric cars have. The light powerful Li batteries are bone crushingly expensive. At three times the price of the Lotus they are based on, the market is tiny and until the battery cost comes down they will remain rich green toys

  • what a joke! THIS is your presentation??? is this presentation made to get customers, or to scare people away? taking a "normal" light weight car and put the mechanics inside was not an option?

seeing this, my opinion is you don´t want to sell these, just scare people away from alternatives.

there are cars for handicapped people...but this is a handicapped car for people.

  • hahaha! how come ppl interested in environmentally friendly alternatives have no design skills?

  • @kingdavidjapan I think it looks kinda neat.

  • Quote- Electric companies, gas heating companies and oil companies would lose half or more of their profits with free energy available. Therefore, these companies then donate millions of dollars to governments (bribing them) to make sure that free energy devices stay out of the public market. Tactics and means of suppression include buying the patent of the free energy device from the inventor or his family, suing the inventor or patent holder and even murdering the inventor in some cases.

  • @mikehanoo33 how do you think this piece of shit car is FREE energy are you going to blow up the tank. When your family or you are killed in this car with no crumple zones air bags heater or air is that fine with you?

  • Karpen's Pile: A Battery That Produces Energy Continuously Since 1950 Exists in Romanian Museum

The "Dimitrie Leonida" National Technical Museum from Romania hosts a weird kind of battery. Built by Vasile Karpen, the pile has been working uninterrupted for 60 years. "I admit it's also hard for me to advance the idea of an overunity generator without sounding ridiculous, even if the object exists," says Nicolae Diaconescu, engineer and director of the museum.

  • From a PR standpoint, they REALLY should have tested it before such a public unveiling. EPIC fail. It looked like it couldn't move in a parking lot, let alone in real traffic. Why even post this? Love the concept, but come on. Whoever organized this photo op should be fired.

  • I think I saw a snail pass it. It needs worked at some more. Better off on the bicycles seen.

  • @FastEddieSRT loool that's funny. I have a recumbent bicycle. It's a lovely thing, goes pretty fast. About 20 MPH if I push it :)

  • Don't go to fast in the bends.

  • the nice thing is after u crash, they can bury you in it

Avoid lying hucksters promoting air cars

  • No independent verification of Fizzgut's claims means he is a CON, a dangerous CON who deceives technical illiterates. You have been warned.

  • Who's this fucking idiot who's crawling like that?! Jezus Christ it caused me a lot of stress watching this moron. Next time they should take someone who can actually drive!

  • The first question that usually pops into a skeptic's mind is that if the technology is for real and discoveries have been made, such as Pons & Flieschman's cold fusion cell or Rory Johnson's fusion magnetic motor, why has it not been reported or mass produced for use by our energy-hungry world? The answer is suppression. What do we mean by suppression? Suppression can be an active type -- an oil company , will blow up or destroy the lab and the invention and kill the inventor .

  • The other type of suppression is the passive type where a competing company, who has big bucks, such as some of the major oil companies, will come in and buy out a patent with no intention of bringing it to market until the demand for oil greatly exceeds the supply and gas prices soar, then they will start marketing a 100 mpg carburetor fir ICE (Internal Combustion Engines).

  • Boom San Agustin

However, my own experience tells a very daunting tale of greed! I tried, in 2004, to get some investors in my country to deal with MDI for the distribution of the Air Car here. The investors were very excited at first; but later, we had to stop. There were threats given to one of my investors to discontinue the venture and he feared for his life and his family’s life. I don’t know who did it; but I’m sure someone stood to lose a lot .

  • Man this thing is so UGLY!! nobody wants to be seen in this thing. tesla roadster is the only good looking green car it seems. every other company that makes a green car just doesnt seem to understand that most people want a good looking car aswell.

  • how can you live without that exhoust sound of toyota supra , chevrolet corvette, lambo???!!!you call this future???come on.....i better polute and i hear that awsome sound!!!

  • slow

  • ufff, on dirait une balayeuse...

  • le gay

  • i like how the bicycle flys right past it. it to also produces no emissions. lol

  • ok sooo wtf is it

  • this is very cute the color fantastic the sits inside lovely I love it how much does this one go for? Let me know thanks a lot

  • @rddbba 10,000 euro, 10km range Due out next year...............always next year

  • talk about a confused group of people,WTF?clueless as to promoting and filming a concept vehicle

  • I will have fun hitting that pos with my suv!!

  • Why is you see a good idea somewhere, Specially in the Field of Energi, you see a couple of very bad idea's too, and Offcourse we have the Shipples who follow and start Trashing everything....Hey Hello just because one Company and one man whom you dont know his / her background does something. IT DOES NOT MEANS THAT every idea that other people come up with is AS BAD....WAKE UP!!

  • Paul Pantone was railroaded through a series of bizarre legal maneuvers by powerful and corrupt conspirators into a State Mental Hospital in Provo Utah where he resides today. He's supposed to be incompetent for claiming that one can fuel a car with mostly water . Oil company suppression takes out another great mind .

  • @mikehanoo33 Are completely fucking stupid another spam post trumpets Paul (I'm a delusional nut job) Pantone was released in 2009. tards and fwits

  • Do you really believe the oil companies will allow these cars to be mass produced ? Or? tested fairly ? (ExxonMobil is the world's most profitable corporation. Its sales now amount to more than $1bn a day. It makes most of this money from oil, and has more to lose than any other company .)

  • Nice door stop. Does it do anything than block bike paths?

  • Five mile range how totally underwhelming

  • They have different designs , I like the mini truck myself , it looks pretty cool , this design would be fine for me to cruise around town , its safer then the motorcycles , mopeds , quads , atc's , mini bikes , go carts and bicycles I have enjoyed in my life , I have had some great wrecks too, I love to push them to there limits , and this looks like a photo opp not a race , its time to move forward with clean energy , unless you like oil spills and dirty toxic smoggy air !

  • To me, it looks like a golf cart thats covered, and sounds like a lawn mower..

  • Free energy labeled 'economic terrorism' - The widespread adoption of these new, non-polluting energy and propulsion systems will effectively replace the use of oil, gas, coal, nuclear power, impacting 4.5 trillion dollars a year in world economic activity, replace the current geo-political order with one based on decentralized abundance. (Examiner; March 21, 2009)

  • @mikehanoo33 YOU AGAIN?!

  • @mikehanoo33 I'm wondering about the safety of this product though, I don't see a review mirror, and I'm wondering about crashtests aswell, how would it hold up in a crash, is what I'm wondering.

  • @FuriousImp I am guessing that in a crash it may hold just about the same as a crash in a bicycle or motorcycle....Well actually you may have much more chance of surviving the crash on one of this, than in a motorcycle, since the max speed on one of these, is 40MPH, and a motorcycle can go as fast a 100MPH, so...I would feel safe in one of those.

  • Conventional air cars, such as the pneumatic locomotives that were available commercially from 1890 to 1930, stop at air stations to refuel. These cars can be designed to go 5 to 500 miles between fillups, depending on the efficiency of the system, the size and pressure of the tanks, and the ingenuity of the designer.

  • my grandma can walk faster than that machine

and it someone shoved something up that machines ass...lol

it was a waste of their time and money and education

  • How on earth would americans fit in that piece of shit?

  • @BahoUtot By leaving that cheeseburger alone and working out your fat ass

  • @AntonioE07 I am an American(Proudly), and I fully agree! :P So many lazy people in America!

  • It's barely moving.

  • Worst design ever. I wouldn't feel safe driving this in a supermarket as a shopping trolly, let alone on a real road with cross winds, and trucks. The original MDA Air car which featured on Beyond Tomorrow was way better.

  • They need to fart harder to make it go. The company is a scam.

  • im happy with my fortwo... no thanks.

  • The aim of MDI is to sell manufacturing licences and pre-orders to naive people, the car will probably never available !

The autonomy has never been tested by independant people since 1998 (only on the factory's parking !).

  • what the f you thinking

  • 1/4 mile would take 2 days,

  • can go from 0-60 in 1 minute 32 seconds

  • just get a freakin bicycle...

  • those 2 guys are pushing the car at 0:34????

  • I heard KLM has received a couple of these AirPods. Does anyone know anything about that? Seems like it might work in an airport situation. Perhaps the airport already has compressed air, but probably not a 350 bar.

  • this reportage is made in 2008 and now is 2010....and still not on the road...i think this is a hoax....

  • Thanks for you input. I am not sure how much of a hoax it is. Looks like there are some with KLM on them in a video. Search for video "Airpod test at KLM"

  • ok....it is on KLM...experiment....but why Tata Motors droped this project in India????? why we dont see it mass produced ??? QUESTION....TO MANY QUESTION...thats why i think is a hoax...

  • I share your concerns about this. Having done some calculations about the energy storage in air, I have reason to believe that a reasonable amount of energy could be stored in the tanks. However, I suspect that the energy conversion efficiency is low both converting from electricity to pressurized air and back again.

  • @JohnCBriggs What I said is actually is only common sense and the basics every engineer (should) know: basics of thermodynamics. If u don't believe me, then u also can get a scientific evaluation of the compressed air car here: Google "Creutzig "economic and environmental evaluation of compressed air cars" "

  • @joakimveyron My apologies I seemed to have offended you but now I have lost the thread of the conversation so I don't know what I said to cause offense. The thermodynamics assumptions do seem to be the key to figuring this out. But theoretically efficiency can be 100% assuming heat can be efficiently transferred out during compression and back in during expansion. The Ulf Bossel study shows this quite well. But it is only assumptions. Nice to have some MDI data.

  • "Search for video "Airpod test at KLM" "

And note commenting is blocked. Probably it be because they won't answer ANY questions about range. I calculate about 5km

  • I noticed that too. It is frustrating that a company like that will not answer a simple question.

  • биотуалет на колесах

  • doesnt look very ready or very safe,,,a fast moving VW will make a mess of that thing and its riders.

  • Good idea... needs more work to become a good product.

  • This car will never be sold in the U.S. can you imagine trying to pull out into traffic even in the city with this car, it has an acceleration of zero to 10 miles an hour in about 30 seconds. Anyone on a bicycle could easily out accelerate this car from a dead stop.

  • I will tell you the one thing that MDI will never talk about on camera and that is its crash survival rating. Just look at this design can you imagine being struck by another vehicle traveling as little as 30 miles an hour? I guarantee you each person in the vehicle would suffer some serious injuries regardless of the point of impact.

  • MDI = scam.

MDI and IT MDI Energy (Australia) sell licenses to manufacture and distribute MDI air cars...since 1998.

Spanish and italian investors have filed a complain against MDI.

Every year his inventor Guy Negre says : "the car is ready".

  • @passion356

Well you know, you never can ttrust those NegreS

    teehehehehe

  • well... it works!!(barely)

  • total fail that made the car or whatever look so bad

  • the car of the future? more like a giant turtle with bad gas...

  • Innovation?

I wouldn't be caught dead within 20 miles of that thing.

  • This vid doesn't exactly fill me with confidence.

  • There have been so many "so called" cars of the future and so far they have all fallen flat on their face, all whilst the oil industry is all powerful there was NEVER be a commercially viable alternative fuel car

  • The AirPod falls flat on its face not because of the oil industry, but because of its lack of performance. It also falls flat on its face because MDI has been promising for 10 years to introduce an air car "next year", but has never delivered a single car.

MDI never lets anybody do any independent tests of the many prototypes, but I suspect that the problem that keeps MDI from selling the car is an abysmally short range. The only public test, several years ago, ran out of air in 5 miles.

  • I guess I was making a more broad point on non petrol cars in general, you seen to know a lot about this car and have made a lot of very good points, I have heard about the poor performance I saw this car on the gadget show, if it sounds too good to be true it usually is!

  • A few years ago I seriously looked into investing in MDI or buying a regional license.

Youtube doesn't allow URLs, but use the following tinyurls to see some of the history that made me decide to not invest in MDI:

mditestresults, zeropollutionmotors1, zeropollutionmotors2, MDI2004, 78nc77, eolocar, eolocar2. put these after tinyurl-dot-com/ to pull up some very interesting history.

  • It looks quite funky standing still. Which is just as well because that seems to pretty much what it does!

  • You laugh now, but we'll all have to drive in a vehicle similar to this in the future.

  • Hopefully by then it'll have a better top speed than only 30mph!!!

  • Don't you mean push?

  • It makes sense the the French would love this. It's so, well French!

(oops, I just threw up a little)

  • There is a cheaper solution. And the solution literally just rode beside it. Its called a BICYCLE.

  • Will it ever come out?

  • LET IT RIP!!!!

  • Wow that's slow. Would work great in a small rural town tho

  • Cheap car, no pollution and no need to shoot irakian or darfuri people to fill the tank, now it can still improve but 1$ for 100 miles, a cute design etc. I surelly want this

  • On a highway..70 mph...Semi trying to pass it....Semi hits the midget mobile...BOOM!! Pancake!

That thing probably has like a 2 star crash test safety rating.haha

  • Fucking walk then, asshole!

  • its for small runs around the place, not going on motorways idiot.. you could use the same argument for milk floats.

  • The air-cart used in vegiemarkets in Melbourne Australia seems to be faster and more useful than the airpod right now, I am disappointed MDI did not actually put this on a road test, instead opting to do a photoshoot on a bike-path in Nice. Im still holding out for Di Pietros EngineAir motors and designs.

  • electricity seems better than compressed air...electric golf carts 30 years ago seem more practical than this.

  • wasn't it suppose to fly?(sry for this possible foolish question)

  • That's the Moller Air Car. completely different vehicle. :-)

  • Looks to me like the thing doesn't work very well!

  • looks like phuture-riksha :)

  • I don't know if I want one. Would you guys film one in a crash-test with a Ford Pickup Please? I'd like to see how well it holds up.

  • Let's see how a motorcycle would hold up.

  • can you run that thing flinstone style?

  • It's a compressed air motor retarded!!! It's a revolution! imagine no more GAS , just AIR !

  • Yep, the compressed air motor is retarded. It's SLOW SHORT RANGE and still after 20 years a stinking con.

  • LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL Holy shit that was the funniest thing I have ever seen! Maybe you should have tested this vehicle's performance before taking it out onto the road. I feel embarrassed for you!

  • i think id rather stick to a normal gas car that moves....lol

  • Yeah, movement is such a PLUS these days.

  • Isn't it lovely how they've already finished the fancy frame design and crafted it before getting the car to move?

  • skate board is better solution than this !!!

  • does this thing move at all?

  • what about the safety

  • head on collision. kerSHATTERPOPBANG*scream*SSCREECH

  • i like this...i hope they well sell this in belgim to ????
