  • I love Japan soooooo much.

  • This song was very popular with the soldiers in WW2 my wife told me. oh she is japanese

  • Last year I went to Itayanagi-machi in Aomori prefecture, and they play an instrumental version of this song over the town loudspeaker in the morning, noon, 5pm, and 8pm. The beginning does sound a lot America The Beautiful, but it's a great song!

  • its sounds a lot like america the beautiful

  • beautiful!!

  • I really like that song a lot :) You did a good work there...

Thanks for posting the transltions, too! ^

  • 3.When what I've come to do is done at last

Someday when it is done I will return

To the mountain misty green and

To the water pure and sweet

I will return to you my dear old home

I heard this rylics somewhere on book when I was child.

  • My dear old home

1.Misty green hills of home I knew you well

Following rabbit trails fishing the stream

Memories of blue waters come to meet me in my dream

I never will forget my dear old home

2.How are you mother and father too

How are my friends of old I hope they're well

Rain may fall and wind may blow to mark the time across the years

Still I remember you my dear old home

  • MY HOMETOWN - FURUSATO The hills we went to look for rabbits The streams we went to catch small fish I still see these scenes in my dreams My hometown: an unforgettable place How are you, mom and dad? Are you fine, my dear old friends? Even in times of rain and storm My hometown is what comes to mind After fulfilling my goals and ambitions Someday, I want to return... To my hometown: the blue hills To my hometown: the pure waters
  • Very nice. Beautifully done. Thanks for the upload. Posted below is my provisional translation for your non-Japanese audience.
