  • Can anyone tell me wat the equation is.. I can't see it it's to blurry

  • Why can't you be my chemistry professor, whyyyyyyyyyyyyy???

  • He teaches 10x better than my teacher. Seriously.

  • I can't find part 2 anywhere....

  • you're amazing man!

  • Don't think there are many instructors out there with Chemguy's friendly, non-intimidating manner. Makes learning so much easier. Of course, the pace of delivery is important too, and this man has it down.

  • Hahah good videos, I'll make sure to send a 200€ donation once I get my 6 from IB Chem :-D My teacher is nice but sometimes it's just difficult to pay attention in class

  • gooooooooooood

  • you are one of the most engaging instructors I've ever seen- keep up the good work :)

  • god bless you. i was on the verge of a mental breakdown before i found your videos.

  • Do you have a video with the natural log stuff in kinetics?

  • you sir are a genius =D

  • sounds like an ice road trucker. are you wearing one of their shirts?

  • You are my hero! I have watched all the videos on kinetics and it helped so much!

  • All I can say is thank you. You really helped me understand. Thank You.

  • Thank you! now i know why the negative sign is in front of delta[CO2].

  • great vid!! thanks. But, where is part 2?

  • im in chem 1212 at my college and we are learning kinetics, but I am so lost. u helped me tho

  • Chem Guy, just wanted to say that you make me want to be a chem major. My class this semester was very challenging at first and since I bumped into your videos i've realized how simple this subject really is, books and teachers generally complicate the material far more than needed. I appreciate your contribution here with these vids : ))))

  • Salman khan and Chemguy are teaching for free ! may god bless them!.while freelanceteach is asking money!

  • @samgee2007 Well hang on! I do ask for donations when you visit my website to get the whole high school chemistry curriculum in HD. And I do sell DVDs. But I thank you for your nice comment, and am glad I can help.

    Chemguy

  • @bannanaiscool

    where is parts 2 & 4?

  • @samgee2007 Both of them ARE THE BEST TEACHERS EVER!

  • @samgee2007 donation

  • THIS IS GREAT!!! I have a kinetics test tomorrow and this video helped!!!

  • @Bannanaiscool

    Hello Chemistry Guy!

I need help with AP Chemistry, the test is on the 11th- is there any advice you can give me? Is there any advice anyone can give me? Any study habits or study tips? Thanks I really appreciate it.

  • @ameza64 Go to my website, enter, and click on the chemistry help page. There are links to some free AP sites and questions that will really help!

    Chemguy

  • chemguy is kewl

  • i have to admit that you lessons are much better than my chimstry teacher.

  • Thanks!

  • You're awesome. Awesome awesome awesome. Great pace, great energy! ... ha ha

  • the CO2 and CO don't cross at some point on the graph?

  • thanks for putting up these videos! they have been very helpful for my upcoming AP test :)

  • your real good!!

  • I can't thank you for this enough! You're a fantastic chemistry teacher and believe me, that's rare. We need people like you in the schools encouraging math and science. LOVE this video. These will help me tremendously.

  • THANK YOU!!

  • 200 more clips?! in HD?! Hallelujah! You are my hero!

  • Chem guy is my new teacher. My friends and I talk about bringing a computer and just watching Chem Guy instead of doing classwork. :P

  • Now, now! Be nice to your teacher!

But I will have about 200 more clips up in two weeks; all in HD, all updated (by March 20, 2010). Hopefully, you'll think that will help, too!

    Chemguy

  • why don't u become my Chem 12 teacher. the teacher that i have, he talks too much about his personal life and doesn't teaches anything. He wastes all of our classes. i wish i can have a teacher like u.

  • That's how my Env Sci teacher is :/

  • @loik345

Wow same here!!! if i was tested on my teachers personal life i would get an A

    +!

  • great 1...........

  • wow!! i learn so much.. i actually understand it. i'm a high school senior taking an AP chemistry class and my teacher isn't very good at teaching. so i come home and see if i can find an easier way o understand it, and BAM!! you... thank you so much.. you sort of remind me of my favorite teacher. he's a Chemistry and Physics teacher, but he no longer works at our school. But again, thank you =]

  • Chem Dude!

  • Calculus!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wow thanks a lot man, i'm gonna get a 7 on my SL exam

  • CHEM GUY U RULE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This cleared up alot of things. Thank you.

  • very...very...very good !

  • omg omg thank youuu

  • thanks! i have an AP.Chem test on friday haha on kenetics u saved my butt u rock dr.Chem haha

  • you are the best !

  • I actually thought there were derivatives involved lol

  • SO ISN'T THE K JUST LIKE SAYING RATE = k[A] K BEING THE SLOPE SO IT IT REALLY IS Y = MX + B GRAPH

  • Well, yes, in its integrated rate law form, k (2nd order) or -k (first or zero order) equals slope.

    Chemguy

  • thanks MR CHEMGUY

  • do you mean least square method ?

  • yes i was confused at first till i watch his video a couple times then got it

  • best video cleared everything up for my honors chem class

  • That would be carbon monoxide at 1:13 not dioxide.

  • I love this guy, sitting here 3 am studying for the PCAT and this guy cleared up everything for me

  • he is very clear and kinda treat us like retards who seriously dont know anything ahahahhaha so no offence i mean, he's good!! ahha

  • Im taking my IB exams today great video thanks for all the help chemguy

  • im taking it tuesday too, and this really helped

  • I'm taking the AP Chem test in 3 days and chemical kinetics is one of the only things we haven't gone over yet, so thank you for this lecture.

BTW, good luck to all other AP Chem test takers on Tuesday (and every year afterwards).

  • The rate of carbon dioxide will decrease.

The rate of carbon dioxide will increase. He probably meant to say carbon monoxide will increase.

  • I love u!

  • You just fucking helped me out dude. It's 1 am and I have an assessment quiz in like 8 hours, and this vid helped me. You're a life saver. All the best and keep up ur vids

  • thanx!!!!!

  • THANK YOU!!!

  • this is so helpful

  • chemguy is a freaking brolaxballer. That was awsome.

  • Haha I'm taking AP Chem, AP Calc, and AP Phys, and this ties them all together, woot!. Thanks for the vid, it helped a lot!! :D

  • Its prety cool of you doing this, Are you familiar with Adrain Dingle

  • SOOOOOO HELPFULLLLLLLLLLLLLL

  • Thank you for the video it helped so much in my calc based Physics class.

  • i have a test tomorrow and im just watching this :] lol~~ hope it will work :]

  • how was your test

  • i did okay~~ well basically. u still need to read the book and the teacher's notes. but then this video just sum up all the important details and clarifies concepts for that chapter.

GOOD LUCK on ur finals :]

  • yeah i took my kinetics test last thursday...

i dont know my grade yet, but i think i did horribly

    ha

  • your my hero!

  • wow...thatz absolutely awesome...Now i think i can get a 5

  • great work

thank you this helped me understand what i spent time trying to read please keep it up.

  • omgosh thank you!!! xD awesome!

  • thank you!

  • If a question asked what is the overall order for the reaction with more than one reactant, how would that be answered?

or is that question addressed later in the "AP Chemistry: Kinetics" series?

  • you just add the orders of each reactant like if its R=K[NO][H] then both reactants are 1st order and so the overall would be 1 +1 = 2

  • what if one is 2nd order?

  • Same rule. A second order reactant plus a first order reactant would make for a third order reaction.

  • for overall order the formula for rate law is Rate = K[A]^m[B]^n. so the overall order is just m+n.

now a regular second order in rate law is when Rate=K[A]^2. notice the ^ means to the power which is the order.

  • funny man

  • very helpful.

  • gr8 job
