I rlly liked this video. I was reading some of the comments that people left before me and it hurts me to see that people are going at each other about who is "REALLY Christian." God gave his only son to die on the cross for us. An so long as we except him as our lord and savior and live by what the Holy Bible says then we will be welcomed into the kingdom of heaven. But the Bible does say in the ten commandments that "You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven

A person who becomes a Christian is the one who believe Jesus as their Savoir to save itself from sins. I know in Acts, the people who believe in Jesus didn't called itself Christians. The people who see the people who believes in Jesus as Savoir called them Christians, so that's how the name come to be used for those who believes in Jesus.

@WillowWillowXOX Yes, they did. I'm Baptist (sort of) I'll probably change when I'm older, but I'll always be a Christian. Anyway, I know Catholics who follow the Bible and love Jesus just as much as I do, it doesn't make any sense to me when people are prejudiced toward them.. They're Christians just like us :)

@Squipplekillzbitches I'm not sure what point you're TRYING to get across, but Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the LIght. You do not need fear in your life to come to find God. I'll be honest, I do not rely on the book of Revelations for my belief, I read the Old Testament to learn what happened, and the New Testament to learn the promises. I came to God not by fear, but for something to fill my life in a good way. I found Him through the Gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

But it is healthy to understand others. You can't refute an argument on no knowledge. Honestly, not everybody believes in the same God. But [I am not starting an argument] it is not always okay in what we believe in. We should be guarded but have an open mind to others. Mary did not save me--Jesus did. That is what is obvious to me and I believe he should be the one we rely on. Be careful what we pretend to be, because that is what we can become..

Unfortunately, when we are subjected to self-contradictory holy texts and texts that are very open to exploitation for holy purposes, we get problems.
Problems like the Inquisition, Crusades, and even things like the Salem with trials, honor killings, 9/11, etc.
Religious zealots will always be the blemishes or honor-marks of any religion (depending your degree of zealotry).
Unfortunately, we all believe (for the most part) what is inculcated into our brains when we're young.

@15jhay19 Christianity is in fact a religion. it's listed as one of the most popular religions. however I agree with you, the true freedom of being a christian is the relationship with God and the hope that comes from that. sadly it's humans that have brought the 'religiousity' and 'rules' to the table. religiousity is the man made barrier that keeps God out. but in legal terms Christianity is indeed a religion.
Being Catholic or not does not define a person as a Christian. How much we are Christ-like and how we are following in Christ's footsteps determines how Christian we are.

I'm definitly not saying all of them don't follow God, my friend is a Catholic and I KNOW she's a true believer.
But basically, not all, but a lot of Catholics just believe that "good works get you into heaven" and think the Pope can get you forgiveness and that you should pray to Mary, all of which are completely wrong and not what the Bible says at all. Therefore, you aren't Christians.
Following and loving God with all of your being is what makes you a Christian. A good Christian maintains her relationship with God through prayer, going to Church, reading the Bible and being sorry for their sins.
P.S. Technically, Catholicism is a branch of Chrsitianity.
Hey MizzChasey, good question and I'm glad you asked. God says in the bible that our works are as filthy rags to him. It is good to believe in God, but we can't be saved by it, even demons believe in God! We are saved by Jesus Christ, as I'm sure you know, he lived a perfect life but was beaten and nailed to a cross for our sins. If we ask for forgiveness of our sins(you have to mean it! God knows the heart) and turn away from our sin, we are saved.
@MizzChasey91 Well a Christian is someone that believes in God, Jesus, and the Holy Sprit. Catholic's think that you have to pray with a pastor, and that is not true, you can be by yourself and pray. Also, when you commit a sin, you go to a pastor for guidance and he tells you do like 20 hail Mary's. Mary was important, but she should be prayed to, or bowed to. If you must bow to anyone, bow to God and pray to Jesus with anyone or with just yourself. Remember the Second Commandment. God Bless :)

But basically, not all, but a lot of Catholics just believe that "good works get you into heaven" and think the Pope can get you forgiveness and that you should pray to Mary, all of which are completely wrong and not what the Bible says at all. Therefore, you aren't Christians.

these things don't make you a Christian.
Following and loving God with all of your being is what makes you a Christian. A good Christian maintains her relationship with God through prayer, going to Church, reading the Bible and being sorry for their sins.
P.S. Technically, Catholicism is a branch of Chrsitianity.

Hey MizzChasey, good question and I'm glad you asked. God says in the bible that our works are as filthy rags to him. It is good to believe in God, but we can't be saved by it, even demons believe in God! We are saved by Jesus Christ, as I'm sure you know, he lived a perfect life but was beaten and nailed to a cross for our sins. If we ask for forgiveness of our sins(you have to mean it! God knows the heart) and turn away from our sin, we are saved.

@MizzChasey91 Well a Christian is someone that believes in God, Jesus, and the Holy Sprit. Catholic's think that you have to pray with a pastor, and that is not true, you can be by yourself and pray. Also, when you commit a sin, you go to a pastor for guidance and he tells you do like 20 hail Mary's. Mary was important, but she should be prayed to, or bowed to. If you must bow to anyone, bow to God and pray to Jesus with anyone or with just yourself. Remember the Second Commandment. God Bless :)

@MizzChasey91 Your religion must be God but there are people in churches who want more of him, do not settle for the same if not go out with more of it every day to have a closer relationship with each day. I advise you to pray and ask God to which type of church you should go

yeah its the same by being "good ppl" trying to earn heaven and use religion and good works to justify ourselves but we r being deceived and deceiving ourselves by giving that burden of being saved also sets us free because only jesus can save us

yeah exactly.. its supposed to mean that we try to break away from sin on our own and sometimes we succeed.. or awhile but the demons (sin) will always come back and capture us because we can never break away from them. Only Jesus has the power to save us. The time the girl tried to break away by herself, the demons captured her again but when Jesus broke the chains she was truely free
