Congress is responsible for much of what the president either takes credit for or is blamed for. Partly because all legislation ends up on the presidents desk for signing. Glenn talks about how we shouldn't view our president as some king we are to honor (and I agree) but people shouldn't look at Beck as someone to give such honor to as well. Technically speaking you are right. The president doesn't regulate anything. That is Congress's job. Congress spends money and write laws. Congress is responsible for much of what the president either takes credit for or is blamed for. Partly because all legislation ends up on the presidents desk for signing. Sometimes the Pres will sign a bill that has crap in it just to get the things he needs.
But Bush & Congress started this recession. Obama & Congress pushed it into the abyss.

Not for most of Bush's presidency. And when the Bush administration warned them 13 times to fix Fannie and Freddie, they chose not to. Democrats, more than anyone, were responsible (and some republicans). The only reason I point the finger at them, is because they were MORE responsible.

Pushing for the bailout bill and making the statement that, "you have to abandon free market priciples to save the free market". That combined with the housing bubble bursting is what caused the economy to start to decline. Then Bush had the printing presses fired up and started printing dollars at record rates. None of that is good for the economy.
But it was a drop in the bucket to Obama.

Did you know that most of those companies that said they were not going to advertise on Beck's were never sponsors.
Also with Beck's ratings anyone would be an idiot not to want to advertise on his show.

It was a tongue in cheek thing. This guy and his sign were at Safeco Field, too. I was there. He is a Beck fan. Pretty funny.

I like Beck, however, I do not agree with him stating that if McCain would have won the election we would have been worse under him then we are under 0bama. I do not agree with this. He is being a bit disingenuous with this stuff.

I like Glenn, but doesn't the idea of "Glenn Beck day" seem a little eerie. Glenn talks about how we shouldn't view our president as some king we are to honor (and I agree) but people shouldn't look at Beck as someone to give such honor to as well. He is just another ordinary American with his own opinions, the difference being he has his own show to express those opinions.

use to like aj but all he does is spread rumors and fear and offers no solutions. he has countless bs stories and creative wording. glenn helped the 912 movement immensly and is offering ways out of this mess. aj wants it to keep going so he can finally get out of moms basement..it seams. just sick of people that bitch about what they dont like and offer no solutions.....glenn has broken that record and opens up new doors of solutions. good luck to...long live the republic
