Grimy gray and blinding white is considered GOOD TECHNIQUE of cinematography. Its real easy to sit and gripe about it but its supposed to drive home a point. The blinding white, grays, unfocused depths of field help us understand what world of uncertainty surrounds these characters.Cinematography is like visual psychiatry, the DP is supposed to interpret the director's idea. some of the film was pushed and over and underexposed. highly contrasted and the light was brilliantly controlled.
Got to hand it to you Donner, been a fan of the text reviews and wasn't finding the video ones quite as funny, but that line there made me laugh out loud.
The sad thing is now I almost want to see the movie to see if it's as horrible as the worst movie I ever saw.

Grimy gray and blinding white is considered GOOD TECHNIQUE of cinematography. Its real easy to sit and gripe about it but its supposed to drive home a point. The blinding white, grays, unfocused depths of field help us understand what world of uncertainty surrounds these characters.Cinematography is like visual psychiatry, the DP is supposed to interpret the director's idea. some of the film was pushed and over and underexposed. highly contrasted and the light was brilliantly controlled.
