I would have LOVED to see this play on Broadway, because this is truly, one of my preferred book. I saw the play played in Paris in 1981 or 82 or 83 when I was studying in Paris (i'm French) and loved it of course, especially since the king was played by Jacques MAUCLAIR who was one great classical actor here in France. I often re-read the play which is great to read !!! I'm always laughing a lot, each time at different "lines" !!! In french the title of the book is LE ROI SE MEURT (is dying).
