  • i thought everyoone west of dorset/river bourne consider themselves to be NOT ENGLISH, but PROBABLY cornish.

    Please checkthis out!

  • Why do the welsh have first-names as surnames?

edwards, roberts, williams, jones, and a load more.

    stevens, evans,

DO THEY HAVE ANY, ER, CYRILS?

OH, JUST remembered ... johns, lewis, hopkins, benskins,

  • i thought trelawney wasw a WELsh song, not the anthem, official or otherwise, of England's oldest (or second oldest) COLONY. please advise.

  • As a Cornishman from West Penwith we are the most friendly people in the Uk.

    Just don't call us English!!

  • @cornwallgeezer You're English...

  • so good to hear you English can still hold a tune what a great accent

  • @edwards21416 cornish are not english. Another thing your surname edwards is of welsh celtic extraction. Know your history man!!

  • Something about the Cornish - they seem so much happier than most!

  • @cornishman45 they are happy because they are faraway from the cunning london city state ;)

  • kernewek bys vyken

  • onen hag oll, keep it flying lads because england will not stop oppressing us

  • @Welshcornish - the only reason england oppresses you is because you allow it to happen. WHY NOT GET OUT OF BED ON ELECTION DAY AND DO SOMETHIG ABOUT IT? OH, God, it is the same in ulster. the lazy fucking lower classes will NOT bother because it is above their station in life. THEY CAN USE A BALLOT INSTEAD OF A BULLET. Could your local council bring in a law to force thicks out of bed on election day? It may sound silly but, even so, discuss it with your local bigwig squire!

    You laugh last!

  • @squirell1952 I can't do nothing about it cause I aints in Cornwall no more, no ballet can nothing about it ither.

  • booty sing-in

  • Fantastic! I worry that we will lose great characters, phrases etc when our generations pass. Nice to see YouTube being used to maintain our history and past, and not replace or rewrite it. Mark.

  • Nice one Uncle Ronny, so apt for St Pirans day!!

  • Thank you 'Coachman4'

Wonderful Cornish accent. I am Cornish but live in Canada. So I can really appreciate hearing that lovely Cornish voice. I have not heard of this anthem, but will make sure I learn it. Thanks

  • @jobirgheidi

Hi my Father-in-law also lived in Canada,Maple Ridge. He moved to Vancouver when the Falmouth Docks met with hard times and a foreman plater was needed in the Vancouver Dock.

Thank you so much for your comments,he would have loved them as he was a TRUE Cornishman the end and proud of it.

Thanks again glad you enjoyed it.

    Dave

  • lovely! :)

  • PyskBecks

This is an old cornish national anthem based on the motto "One and All" which is written on the crusader shield (with a triangle of golden bozants[gold coins]) that makes the Duke of Cornwalls coat of arms (that is though to date back to approx. the 12th century). This song is by sung by a true cornish Tregidgo!- my loving grandfather and a proud Cornishman!

  • I'm half-cornish :)

  • Sung 'n vitty.

  • thats bloody ansome, Pard!!!

  • @Treaserr lol

  • Proper Job, ma boi

  • Bravo. Great Job!

  • he sounds irish

  • Alright my cocker. I have recently lost my grandmother and we are a st.just/pendeen/penzance family and we used lots of Cornish words in our everyday dialect, so this goes out to all the people that think our language is dead !

Are heritage is buried not dead!

    Onen hag oll.

  • @cornwallgeezer i love cornwall i got there every year with my family we go to place called looe, its a wonderful place its a place to be cornwall is famous and the language i only just found out is magic it keeps every true brit's celtic heart strong and to hear that it has been dampned is sad to hear but let me tell you it hasnt am from lancashire(long live the red rose) and i know only a little bit but enough to know about your legacy.
